Hoyoverse premiered the 4.0 Special Program, releasing details about the new version update. The community had a look at the final version of Fontaine, which will be released in the game. Along with the beautiful scenery, officials revealed tons of major changes that will arrive in the version 4.0 update.
One of the major livestream highlights is also the three new redemption codes shared by officials. Keep in mind that these are time-sensitive codes and will expire within 24 hours of release, so act quickly to claim them.
The officials have announced all the event banners for the next patch, including the rerun characters and new weapons. And the good news is that, it’s the same characters i informed you guys about in my recent videos.
Phase I of version 4.0 will begin on August 16 and the developers have officially revealed that Lyney will be the only 5-star Fontaine unit in this update and will debut in the first phase. He is a Pyro DPS unit that uses a Bow. Meanwhile, Yelan will return in this half with her second rerun banner. Furthermore, Hoyoverse has confirmed that Lynette will debut in the same phase. According to the trusted sources, Xingqiu and Sayu are expected to be the other two 4-star characters that will be on rate up during Phase I.
The second phase of the upcoming 4.0 update will start on September 6 and this half will feature Zhongli and Childe. Interestingly, this will be the fourth rerun banner for both of them, making them the only two characters in the game with a total of five banners overall.
At the same time, Freminet will make his debut in this half. Meanwhile, it is speculated that Noelle and Xinyan will likely be the other two 4-star characters that will receive boosted drop rate during this phase.
One of the most exciting news about the upcoming 4.0 update is the latest underwater diving mechanism. Travelers can now explore several new locations under the water. However, it is important to remember that this feature is only available in Fontaine and not other regions. Players can also fight aquatic mobs, collect chests, and complete time trial challenges to earn primogems.
Fortunately, there won’t be a stamina or oxygen bar, allowing travelers to explore underwater regions for as long as they want. That said, there will be a special Aquatic Stamina Bar for sprinting under the water. Luckily, there is no leveling system for this, so travelers don’t have to worry about unlocking more levels for more stamina. On that note, players can approach a school of fish to recover Aquatic Stamina and HP.

Genshin Impact officials have revealed a new party menu and its animations. With this new Quality of life change, the party menu will showcase different backgrounds based on the nation travelers are currently in. The developers have gone a step forward and have also added animations to all characters when they join the party.
Version 4.0 will add new weapons to the BattlePass, allowing players to choose any weapon.All of these new weapons are CRIT-based and provide various different buffs or utilities through their passive.
Version 4.0 update will introduce two new bosses: Emperor of Fire and Iron and Icewind Suite. While the former has been confirmed to drop materials for Lyney, the latter will drop ascension materials for both Lynette and Freminet.
Here is a quick overview of Fontaine’s new artifacts: Golden Troupe and Maerchaussee Hunter. Both of these new artifact sets will be available in the new domain that will drop in the version 4.0 update. The set bonus effects have not been officially revealed.
Lastly, with the arrival of the version 4.0 update, players can obtain a free copy of Lynette after reaching Adventurer Rank 25. Those who have already crossed the criteria can directly claim her from Genshin Impact’s event menu.

  8. Also I'd like to add. Im SOOOO glad they gave the characters custom animations for being selected. But you know what they should really do?

    Give the characters short cutscenes for being wished for! Kinda like this.

    Say you pulled Zhongli. The screen flashes with his constellation forming in the sky as he speaks to you. "So you wish to make a contract with me?"

    And poof there he is and finishes off with. "May it be set in stone."
