Joining the likes of Diluc, Jean, Mona, Keqing, Qiqi, Tighnari, and Dehya, who we are all too familiar with losing our 50/50s to, will be either Citlali, or Iansan, or both. I know how it sounds, but I’m not making this up or anything. According to the information shared by Iris Leaks, there will be two new characters from Natlan who will be added to the Standard Banner sometime in the future. And these two characters are Citlali and Iansan.

We have seven characters in the Standard Banner pool right now, and the only thing it lacks is a Geo 5-star character. So if you go with that, they should add a new Geo 5-star character, but they didn’t do it in Sumeru, so I guess there’s no point in talking about it now. Back when Fontaine was about to be released, there was a leak circulating in the community that Hoyoverse would add a total of 9 or 10 characters to the Standard Banner. At present, we have 7, so if you count Citlali and Iansan, then it will be 9. Which means after these two, we’ll get either one more character on the Standard Banner, or none.

And this is not the first time it’s happening, or going to happen. You see, the Standard Banner in Genshin Impact originally featured only five characters: Jean, Diluc, Mona, Qiqi, and Keqing. Over time, two more characters were added to the banner, Tighnari in version 3.1, and Dehya in version 3.5. Since then, there have been no further updates to the Standard Banner character pool. In Fontaine, there were some rumors that Wriothesley or Chiori would be added to the Standard Banner, but they were only rumors.

As for Citlali and Iansan’s release date—well, Citlali is expected to debut in version 5.3 alongside the Pyro Archon Mavuika. Citlali will be a 5-star Cryo unit, and she is expected to be a catalyst user. However, there has been no concrete information available about Iansan’s release date so far. But there are some leaks suggesting that she will be released around version 5.6 or later. Iansan will be a 5-star Electro character, and she’s expected to be a polearm user.

If these recent leaks are to be believed, then the Standard Banner will get an update after quite some time. It’s been established since forever that 4-stars get featured on their debut banners and then are added to the Standard pool in the following patch, and the same goes for the 5-star characters. So if Citlali comes in version 5.3, then she’ll be added to the Standard Banner in version 5.4. And if Iansan is released in version 5.6, then she will be added to the Standard pool in version 5.7.

And if this information is true, then they will have to announce it during the version 5.3 special program, you know, whether Citlali is going to the Standard Banner or not? Because they can’t just release her banner in 5.3, and announce in 5.4 that she’s now a Standard character, because that’ll get them in trouble. And we have seen them do this, like announcing whether or not a character is going to the Standard Banner. They announced during the version 3.0 special program that Tighnari would be added to the Standard Banner pool, and they did the same thing with Dehya. So if this information is true, then we’ll get the announcement before their banners are up.

  13. I really don’t think Citlali will be added to standard banner, but the situation where they focused on her so much this story did remind me of the dehya situation. Xilonen was supposed to be the featured character, and seeing so much of Citlali. Iansan, yet to see anything impressive of other than her element.

  22. Before adding new characters in the standard banner,Hoyoverse owed us an Apologems for muting Kinich and Kachina’s voice lines for the whole new archon quests! it’s really disappointing😤

I'm going to be perfectly honest I feel like the biggest thing they need to fix the standard banner with is not just updating it with new characters but also updating the chances of neither getting a four-star or a five-star character more better because the times I've gotten a four-star weapon or five star weapon is starting to get really annoying and I feel like they should also be a standard banner for just weapons

  24. I kind of hope that Citlali doesn’t go on standard because that could mean her multipliers will be lower and I really want to make her DPS. I do that with all my favorite characters. From what I’ve seen I haven’t done the newest main quest yet but her character design and from the first, trailer she seems like someone I would really want
