Version 4.8 is scheduled to be released on July 17th, and we have received a lot of information about the next patch. In this video, we will discuss the upcoming 4.8 banners, including the Chronicled Wish, new permanent events, new areas, new skins, events, and more.

🔹4.8 MAPS:
Alright, we know that all the previous summer events have taken place on limited-time maps, and you can expect the same to happen in the version 4.8 update. According to a reliable source called Seele, the new map design will be based on a fairy-tale forest theme instead of a small island like Hawaii. Before this statement, they had said that the new map would resemble the Hawaiian islands, but that’s not the case anymore.

In addition, this forest-themed map is speculated to be larger than previous summer event maps, so we will probably get more primogems than usual in 4.8. They further added that there will be three massive areas to explore, and they will include tons of origami. With the event quest being related to fairy tales and Wanderer, it only makes sense that the limited map will also be based on the same concept.

🔹4.8 BANNERS
Moving on to the banners. None of the reliable sources have provided any information about the 4.8 banners, but here’s what we know based on past leaks and rumors. There are four characters who are waiting to get their rerun banner: Wriothesley, Shenhe, Nilou, and Kokomi. Since Hoyoverse has started to rerun one Fontaine character ever since the 4.5 update, I’m assuming that Wriothesley will get his banner in 4.8. There’s another reason for saying this, and that is Natlan will buff Cryo and Hydro characters in 5.0, so they might as well rerun some Cryo and Hydro characters.

So the banners for version 4.8 might be Emilie and Wriothesley in phase one, and Shenhe and Nilou in phase two, plus the Chronicled Wish banner if it appears in 4.8. But keep in mind that this information is based on rumors and speculation, so take it with a grain of salt.

🔹SKINS (NILOU & KIRARA)
Moving on to the skins: reliable sources have informed us that Nilou and Kirara are the two characters who will receive a new outfit in version 4.8. According to UTeyvat, Nilou will be receiving a new skin in the next patch, and the design of her outfit resembles a princess costume style with a white color tone and horns still present. However, the info about the design and color is not confirmed, so it’s still subject to change as the beta hasn’t started at the time I’m making this video.

Like other 5-star character skins, players can expect Nilou’s skin to cost 1680 Genesis Crystals, which is roughly $30. As for the 4-star character skin, UTeyvat revealed that Kirara would be the next 4-star character to receive a skin. Considering the fact that Hoyo provides a 4-star skin for free every four updates, it’s confirmed that we will receive Kirara’s outfit for free, and we will also receive a free copy of her during the main event.

🔹EVENTS (NEW PERMANENT EVENT)
Moving on to the events. Three events from the past are getting a rerun in 4.8: Bing-Bang Finchball, Outside the Canvas Inside the Lens, and Energy Amplifier event. Other than these, we will get another new permanent event or endgame content in 4.8. There’s not much information available about it at the moment, but characters like Diluc, Kirara, Ningguang, Qiqi, and Jean have something to do with it.

To unlock this new event, we will need some keys from the Imaginarium Theater. As for the rewards, it includes special trails for characters, giving them visual effects when walking or running, and we won’t get any primogems from this.

At last, here’s some new information about Emilie’s gameplay and a new redeem code worth 60 primogems. According to Seele, Emilie’s efficiency in applying Dendro is not bad. Her elemental skill is similar to Lisa’s elemental burst, as she summons a Dendro lamp that emits some kind of waves.

  13. i can't wait for nilou!! i took a long break and hardly played genshin last year so i dont have any limited sumeru 5 stars. after losing the 50/50 on clorinde's banner, i decided i'll just rather use my guaranteed to get nilou instead. then get nahida on a future rerun 🙂

  24. I was legit scared when I saw that artwork for the chronicled wish.
    I mean, I love Ganyu and Zhongli, Yelan too, but I have all of them, so I'd much prefer seeing Shenhe/Hu Tao on such a banner. Even Childe.

  26. Shoot I really need all the characters rerunning… If Navia reruns instead of one of them would make me very happy and maybe another character other than Kokomi! I just got Alhaitham and am completely out of gems so I can’t pull for everyone

  33. I'd like to get Clorinde, but I want Nilou and Zhongli more, so I'll wait for 4.8 and 5.0. I built 40 or 50 pity on the Clorinde banner because I wanted Sethos (didn't get him lol), but I don't want to build more and risk pulling her.

  39. I wish hoyo would give us the KFC collab skins in the game. Especially the Noelle skin.

    Edit: I don't know how to feel about needing keys from the new theater game mode to play in an event that doesn't give primogems.
