  1. i started genshin cauz i was soooo bored of the waiting room for Breath of the wild 2, and i was searching for this feeling of freedom i felt in Botw the first time and when i heard about a beautiful game like Botw would came out soon i first thought it was a dream, The game have beautiful graphics, the same freedom system its a gacha and we use elements to beat monsters…exactly what i love
So GI is easily my fav Free to play game .

I was there for the start and i hope seeing all of you for its end 😁🤙🏼

  2. I personally enjoy the journey of lvling to 50 than the endgame content (abyss). genshin is sort of just a filler game for me when i want to relax from reality and chill a little. Can other games fulfill this role? probably.

  3. day 46 of commenting because i love your content. this was a very interesting video, it was cool to hear things from your perspective, i can imagine how content like the spiral abyss and events become less meaningful when when the rewards you get gives you nothing that you can’t get already.. i really hope miHoYo will work on content that will make people want to play it regardless of it rewards (yes i know some people enjoy the spyral abyss) for me it was the windtrace event! it was a lot of fun and i didn’t play it for the rewards. (miHoYo please bring back windtrace) (thank you)

  4. Honestly when I'm bored I read the character's stories and listen to their voice line. For example, did you know that hu tao and xingqiu occasionally have rap battles that are in the form of poems? it's absolutely hilarious

  5. I thought the game was mundane at first when I ran out of content, but then I got into the groove and now it’s just part of my daily routine. I just love watching my account gradually grow stronger every day and I find that slow, but simple progress extremely satisfying.

  6. I been doing the "cautious hero" grind, doing a lot of exp and mat hunting instead of going thru the main story quest. As for my game time, I only play like 3-4 hours of it (both on PS4 and mobile). Also I'm a dolphin (maybe an otter or penguin) in gacha, I spend little for the extra gems.

  7. The game won't be dying anytime soon, just look at their revenue.
It's just the direction of the game whether you guys liked it or not, full of mini games, nice limited time event won't ever be part of the core game, prizes are always very limited on each event and boring artifact grinding, oh also time restricted event to make it look like the event last long

  8. after the hype dies down, i think Genshin will be more like Honkai. with stable and more dedicated playerbase size. Genshin became way too big, that's why it seems like it's "dying". now, more and more people that only played because of the bandwagon are leaving

  9. to be honest the game is getting boring. im not even doing events or commissions anymore. i just log in when they release a new update just to see if they added something new. the only content that we have is the spiral abyss and the rewards are mediocre. the game feels like you need to farm upgrade characters and farm again cause the only thing there is, is farming. so you are basically building your characters to farm again. also it feels like you have to have zhongli to actually play the game so as a free to play what am i supposed to do. and also why is Ningguang’s secretary ganyu better than the electro archon it doesn’t make sense.

  10. Me, I only started playing Genshin out of Pure Curiosity. Heard a Lot about this Game having Atrocious Rates in Gacha, and I didn't like it quit. Pick up this Game, when Dragon Raja started to be Too Tedious with the All Social-Aspect Gaming. Then I got Keqing in Klee's Banner— Never wanted Klee (I even skip her rerun), and I was Ecstatic. I Like her Aesthetics & Gameplay, and Even now, I Still Love her, regardless of what people say about Electro.

I casually play & have fun with it. I haven't done all the side quest in Mondstat & Liyue (a Lot of YT videos say you have to grind them for the primos). And my Exploration rate for both cities aren't 100%.

My Keqing is at C2, and missing a Really Decent Thundersoother Crit Rate Circlet. And my Noelle at C6 is quite the Beast with a Sub-Optimal Retracing Bollide Set. Farming Artifacts now for Ei & Kokomi. Once that's done, back to farming for my Noelle.

I want the Best Build Possible for my girls 😊

  11. “Listening to waifus pester me” sounds like a Keqing call out post when you’ve been still for .2 seconds…

The gorgeous artwork and real-time combat system are what first drew me to Genshin. I’m primarily an rpg play, particularly j rpgs, which tend mostly towards turn based combat, so the chance to play another real-time combat rpg other than Zelda was exciting. I still feel that way even now, though I’m frustrated when we go through content droughts. The characters and story are the most important aspect for me, and I just wish we had more quests and plot and ways to dive into the lore. I’ve started saving quests and trying to play through the game slower, which helps. Still I have so many characters I love playing with and sometimes find myself aimlessly exploring just to spend more time with them.

Aside from wanting more story based elements, I think my biggest issues are the resin system and scarcity of resources. There are times I want to fight bosses more or to keep farming domains to get my characters better artifacts, and I’m limited by resin. As a low spender I can’t afford to use primos to refill resin, nor can afford to use my resources building every single character I own, as much as I’d enjoy testing all of them out.

  12. Day 1 player. I enjoy challenges, boss fight, RPG (story & leveling) and exploration. Genshin offers all of this. I have lot of time with pandemic. It was the perfect game. But now since I first 36* abyss. I lost my daily enjoyment of grinding. I play genshin now for story.

  13. I dont have much to say but Genshin has been the my greatest source of support and comfort over the past year.
It can also be stressful at times but thats what gachas do 🧍‍♂️ it doesnt feel like one tho.
Its a whole another world you are allowed to get isekai'd to anytime! Expect well… During maintenance but anyways.

  15. I think Genshin is here for a long run maybe 3-4 years. Story is good and I think the Gacha will improve over time, for e.g- how Clash Royal drop rate improve over time so that people will return over time. Sustainable Growth which has been proven in past.

  17. my problem is i want to be everything. i want to take it slow and enjoy the story casually but i want to max my sakura and statue also. i want to pull for characters but i want them to be strongest aka meta. i m f2p but i m not broke, i m f2p by choice . i 36 * abyss not because i want to challenge my self. because i want all reward and primogems. so i have to mid max my units and build a cracked f2p acc. i just wanted to collect all arcons and enjoy the world but i have tasted 36* on abyss now i cant go back. i was a filthy casual but now i m a meta slave

  18. i quit investing more time than needed and my money. it’s just not worth it for a game.
i love Genshin and will play until the end but it’s a Gacha game over all and that’s not healthy or worth risking my mental health.

  19. What I like on Genshin is that it's evolving. It's not something you play and you finish and you're done and all you can do is to go through the same thing again. There are things I do every day to kill time because I don't mind doing repetitive tasks (human life is full of such anyway) and every now and then there's something new to explore and enjoy.

  20. I love your chill, healthy attitude!
also it's the first time I ever hear someone enjoying a media kinda like I do? Taking Genshin (or other things I enjoy) as a base to create my own fantasy around it? Yes, exactly! Whenever I sit down and decide "Ok, today I'm going to explore", which is my favorite part of the game, I only use my 2 favorite characters in the roster and play with them and create a journey and interactions in my head for that. It's nice 😀

  21. Genshin is actually two different games.

For most players, Genshin won't feel like a gacha game in the beginning. It will feel like a full AAA game with the immense world building and depth it provides. You'll be overwhelmed with so much to do and explore that the gacha aspect of it would only be relevant if you want to change how you interact with the world. Skill is minimal and it really all boils to taking in the beauty of the game.

In the end game however, Genshin becomes an entirely different game. The focus shifts heavily to it's gacha and character building aspect which makes it seem like everything the game throws at you is in reference to the new characters that you might "need" in order for you to have a better end game experience (ex. the curation of rate up characters and weapons to combat spiral abyss debuffs). The end game then becomes a cycle of min-maxing characters, optimal team set ups, great vs trash units and weapons , unlucky and lucky artifact rolls etc. Genshin then becomes this game that somehow rewards you for buying the new characters and weapons (by making the only end game content easier), but then punishes you by making the end game content a lot harder if you refuse to pay and just stick to your free characters; learning all the dodging skills, the i-framing, the snapshotting, animation cancelling etc. –which were gameplay that was never relevant to what Genshin was advertised to be.

While it is easy to choose which version of Genshin you want to play, you'll never really know how to separate them unless you step back and willingly do so. With the new patches, events, and other content coming out, Mihoyo will always try to mend these to facets together as one game, when In reality you HAVE to be aware that they aren't, otherwise you'll fall victim to thinking that the new content is only there for you to have more primogems, rather than content for you to enjoy.

  22. Good visuals alone do not make game good. When 95% of gameplay elements either suck or have massive paywall attach to them it's not something that can be called a good game.

  23. This game always give great update on new map, exciting exploration, lots of hidden lore, great NPC story even to NPC that only get their name mentioned without real avatar. But i didn't like how they threat their latest archon quest, it feel rushing (on story telling pace not how long the play time) uncreative and doesn't make any sense at all.

  24. Started playing for, honestly, I don't even know. I downloaded it, and it felt fun. Stayed and still playing since launch, for 1) the FANTASTIC music, 2) animation, 3) story. I agree, obviously the game is far from perfect, but I still like playing the game. If I ever feel tired, I will take a break 😀 .

  25. Genshin is a great game but theres a lot of content is lacking. What i mean after you finished all the content it offers you dont have anything to do even you want to play more and i think the main essence of this game is building your character and after you build your character theres a new one and its tiring.
I want mihoyo to offer us something new not the one that will repeat its cycle – unlocking every new area – farm – build character repeat. I want something end content that will keep me stay and will test my character power.

  26. I burned out during 1.6 as I was rushing every content, but I came back during 2.1 and decided no to explore the open world until we get to meet all the archons just to save some content because it will always not be enough, maybe I'll have a sense of completion at that point then I can quit

  27. I still enjoy the game, I love the characters, story and world exploration, however when I'm done with these things it gets kinda boring, especially since the artifact rng is more frustrating than satisfying

  28. honestly this was quite wholesome to hear and glad to hear you say this game isn't worth getting frustrated over. I find the controversy that surrounds this game is really exhausting. It would be nice to get more casual content.
