  13. I'm a bit sad that I haven't watched it live, but I've enjoyed you playing! Getting three 4 stars in 10 pull is very rare, you're lucky to start this game. And also, it doesn't matter if you choose Lumine (girl) or Aether (boy) at the start. Although Hoyoverse all the time showing us Aether, there is no canon main character in Genshin, so you can choose what you want! Personally, I prefer Lumine since she's been my traveler for 7 months.
    I wish you the best and I hope to see more of Genshin!

  19. Main character is whomever you choose. The boy is just used as man character in MORE but not all of the promotional but for the story of the game their interchangeable. But this was so much fun to watch!! Fair warning, people in chat tend to try to backseat play. Play the way you want to. Also some of the npcs have their own stories that progress through the game. They can be very fun to talk to.

  20. If you want my personal opinion on wishes, you should probably do as follows going forward:

    Only spend Primogems in the shop on Intertwined Fates. (The pink wish items.) They can be used to get characters and weapons from the limited-time categories, and are the more sought-after Wish currency.

    When you get Acquaint Fates (The blue wish items) be sure to use your other 10-pull on the Beginner banner before you do anything else with them, because that's at a 20% discount, it's the same pool of results, but you get 2 more pulls for free, basically. Otherwise the only place they can be used is on the standard "Wanderlust Invocation" banner, which contains the generic stuff that all the other categories also have. This is why the pink ones are more valuable; the things those can get you can only be received there.

    Wishing on the weapon banner is generally considered to be pretty risky, as it doesn't contain 5* characters and the odds of getting the specific weapon you want are pretty bad.

    Nilou requires a very specific team composition and high level to be particularly useful, and I really don't recommend her for a new player. If you like her, my advice is to pick her up whenever her next banner comes around.

    Tom said he didn't like Albedo, but in my opinion he's a reasonable and reliable unit.

    If you're curious about the current featured characters, there's a Test Run function in the Event tab that'll let you try out the featured characters. There are some rewards for doing so, so I'd just do it once regardless. xP

  21. The beginning of the game feels so nostalgic now two years later since I started… I hope you both have an amazing voyage around Teyvat! There's lots to see, big stories to be part of and to witness, deep lore to explore, great people to meet, and amazing sights and music at every corner.

  23. As one who has 2 max AR accounts at 60, I would recommend leveling up the free characters namely Noelle, Amber, Lisa, Kaeya since you'll be mostly exploring most of the time.
    Noelle is vital for shielding(cannot be interrupted) and healing the whole party while giving AoE burst
    Lisa for destroying groups of enemies while being shielded by Noelle
    Kaeya for mainly 1v1 and cleaning up stragglers after Lisa
    Amber for taunting enemies, gliding stamina and solving puzzles

    EDIT: If you're able to get Sucrose, I'll swap Kaeya with her most of the time

  27. An answer to your question , yes your inventory is unlimited.
    Fun stream, but for sure don't let people in chat tell you what to do or who to play. I am Adventure Rank 59 and I don't think there really is any "bad" character. The most fun will come from using characters YOU like. Dont get sucked into meta play, not needed for most of genshins content.
    The gacha wont get you, if you remember, trying to get a particular character is a bad idea, there really are no game breaking characters.
    Barbara, still in my party, my favorite healer. Noelle is great she has shields, Heals and deals damage. I would add both to your party.
    In the Monstadt area you will need amber because there are a lot of pyro/archer based puzzles.
    A good team build would be one each of A cryo, pyro, hydro character, and any one else, if someone can double up as a healer or archer that is good ,this will let you deal with most enemies.
    There is no need to avoid upgrading, the EXP spent is transfered to another item when it is used to improve things.
    Three star items are fine to upgrade.
    I wouldnt worry to much about spending your leveling books they are essentially an unlimited resource BUT you should assign somebody as your main DPS and put your resources into them, the rest of the team are for support.
    Oh by the way, both of ambers elemental abilities can be placed by holding the button. (also you don't have to aim with archers you can just spam the attack button)

  33. Mondstadt is generally a beginners area where everything is a lot of simpler and laid back. (At least until it get's an expansion in the future, whenever that may be) As you progress in the story and visit more regions the game really flexes it's muscles with everything, be it story, combat, or exploration.

    Glad to see you both are enjoying the game! Take your time and enjoy yourselves. Play how you want, and wish responsibly on the limited time character banners.

    too bad i'm not much of a stream-watcher on twitch. mostly lurk in youtube. but i will regularly checking up if you guys decided to upload the vod! i'm glad you enjoyed it so far
    i kind of want to befriend you over the game bcs i'm also in EU server. xD
    will that be okay? may be i can help something in the future for the harder puzzles or World Quests. there are some quests that you'll need to do and they can be bit hard to do alone when you're in lower lvl. i did have those experiences myself and asked help from my friends in game 🙂
