  1. Everytime I watch this I still think being able to Parry the heat of fire (damage over time effects) is legitimately the most broken op thing I've ever heard of being in a combat game…

That's like when Pokemon created Mega Kangaskhan who could just Attack Twice every turn and entire community collectively went YOU WHAT?!

  2. Man, that bit about Liyue never fails to make me laugh because it is such an embarrassing cope from China to go full self-insert fanfiction in the game like that.

Wanna know how pathetic that really is?

I just learned recently the reason why statues of men from ancient Rome had small penii is because in Roman culture, big dicks were “a sign of unintelligence and barbarism”.

The way that China will try to portray itself or swing the most petty garbage to make themselves look good (see Max0r’s Yakuza Zero video for what I mean by that) is even more pathetic than the ancient Roman’s claiming that guys with big dicks are “less than human, practically animals”.🤣

  3. If you guys wants some selling points on why millions of people are still playing the game.

first one would probably be the art style and the graphics design. I'm pretty sure everyone that is playing this game also watches japanese animation or at least know what it is or interested playing with the cartoonish game design and graphics.

second one would probably the music. Music is a really big selling point in genshin impact as hoyo mix creates one of the best game music of today's current generation of gaming. It is also probably one of the thing that makes people come back and play the game again after a burnout or something.

third one would probably the RPG aspect of the game or the gameplay itself. There are 4 current available nations in genshin that you can explore, you think that doing this might be boring, but the scenery of the game is actually one of the strongest aspect of this game. As for the gameplay, the gameplay is very smooth as maxor said in the video to the point that there are people playing this game for the combat mechanics alone.

ps. I'll put the deal breakers in genshin in the replies

  4. I quote Max0r here. "… should u play the game ? Yes. only if u have self control." that's true, I also don't like gacha and unnecessary spending. But the game itself is good, the world design, the music and lore are so beautifully crafted. u could really see where they put the money.

  5. Just a note: You don't have to buy the materials.
Neither to farm like a scared dog for them.
You can max a character in a week. Pre-farm it even.

The farming sucks? It surely does. But well, the only money a "wise" whale player spends on it is to get characters or some of the OP ass weapons…

I speak as someone who didnt spend shit, and here I am with 3 Guaranteed 5 stars, 2 months after starting to play.

Also, those mushrooms? You can get those in 6 minutes.

  6. With all the number of misleading comments I read I feel the need to add my input, I ABSOLUTELY do not recommend playing it. I think the comment made by Alice Utsubyo in the comment section summerizes it perfectly. The gacha rates are awful, oce you finish exploring a region you pretty much have no reason to go back to it, some regions have pretty much been deserted at this point. The kits of the characters have progressively become more clunky and repetitive (an upcoming character's kit is basically a copy paste of another existig one). They purposfully decrease the power of characters at their base state to push you to summon more copies to the point where newer 5 stars at base value have become about twice as weak as release 4 stars (as I mentionned the more time passed, the weaker the started making the characters to the point where most people have been using the starting ones for two years now). They also never fix character kit problems no matter how much feedback they get and finally, they are extreamly stingy with their rewards (their anniversary rewards are equal to what you would get from a standerd event in another game). They do give out once every two months a free 4 star, but as is the case of 5 stars, all the new 4 stars are borther line useless or only viable if you spend money for more copies, which obviously defeats the point of giving them to us in the first place. Take it as the advice of someone who has played the game almost since launch, just avoid your self the heart ache, the wasted money and the tiresome grind and play another game. (If you want a recommendation, I have discovered a game called "Arkights" a few ago and have basically abandoned genshin for it. Even the new TCG that is a new game mode that has been added to genshin becomes stale real quick. Basically it's game where you spend your money, play the same boring quests daily and log off.

  7. There is a vast world. And there's going to be more regions and sub-regions each year. The things like the resin/energy and daily quests are literally small parts of it. The open world has secrets to find, puzzles to do and treasures to loot, separate from all that. You could literally spend 15~ hours exploring a region and not find everything. The open world is not the least bit empty and probably has more things to see and do than most AAA open world games. I've been playing since launch and the game does keep track of whether you've found (most of) everything in region to give you percentages, and I have not 100%'d most of the regions in the game. There's a lot to do, a lot of nooks and crannies to look into. And each reward for exploration is free. The game doesn't stop you from exploring even when you're out of resin.

The reason your friends tell you to just do it, is because it's something you can't "get" from hearing selling points or reviews. Because you'll always go "Well but it's a gacha game though…". Even you, watching this video, say that it seems like a vast world, but "nothing at the same time", "using little gacha tricks" to keep people playing.

You just have to do it and experience it for yourself. And you'll see why it has a huge audience. Only then will you get how good the exploration feels, how gorgeous the game looks, and how much you just want to keep playing just to see what you'll find around every corner.

Maxor's video is a bit old, so it only has context from the two major regions that the game launched with (the windy, green Mondstadt and mountainous, rocky Liyue) along with one sub-region (the snowy Dragonspine mountain). Right now the game has two more major regions included ( the islands of Inazuma and deserts and rainforests of Sumeru), with two more sub-regions (Enkanomiya and The Chasm, both underground). Next update they're going to expand Sumeru even further. Each region and sub-region has its own theme, puzzle mechanics, aesthetics, designs, etc. Mondstadt, for example, is based on Germany, with its element being the wind. So lots of wind-based mechanics. Inazuma on the other hand is based off Japan, with its element being electro, so lots of electricity/lightning-based mechanics and puzzles.

Again, it's something you have to experience for yourself to get. Only you can witness standing on a gigantic sand dune at the very center of Sumeru's desert, looking up at the towering pyramid looming above you. The tip of which is the epicenter of a raging storm that engulfs the sky, burning it into fiery oranges and reds.

It is literally one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. And the music is absolutely stellar. And I have not spent a single cent in the two years I've been playing.

  8. Some of the community is uhhh… But generally a good game. Obvs it has some predatory practices being gacha, but the game can be completed with free characters only, and you will get more characters by simply playing. Resin is useful for late game builds but almost all the exploration stuff isn't tied to it. Personally I love the story and lore, and it only gets better over time, but takes a little bit to get interesting in the first region. That being said, yeah it's free, so you may as well give it a go. If you like LOZ then then you'll probably like this game too. It is different – starts out similar but gets more different over time. Also don't play mobile. It's fine but after playing it on my PC I can't go back. There's stuttering during some cutscenes and everything is set to the lowest quality on mobile. Honestly I like Eng dub, except Paimon. No offence to the voice actress but I find her grating. So yeah. I'm sure somebody will correct me if I got anything wrong.

  9. Here’s the pitch: Genshin is free, but it’s gameplay feels like a full priced game. The gatcha elements are pretty essential to the experience; but if you log in daily for like 20 minutes you can get some pretty nice draws by the end of the week. I opted to spend $5 to give myself 90 primogen per day, since that’s a pretty small price if you’re consistently logging in. Besides that…just enjoy the world and play at your own pace until you get better characters and synergize your team better.

  10. I like how he says u could get a strong dps that carry u thru the game then shows ningguan one of the worst dps in the game (tbf most the dps 4 stats rnt great) but then shows xq and bennet two of the strongest 4 stars in the game that consistently out preform most 5 stars

  11. I highly recommend. I been playing practically since day one and it's gain a bunch of new content, 2 and a half entire new regions, and a bunch of really good story content. They even made an entire TCG in the game that's been fun.
Personally I have spent a bunch of money on the game but I largely see it as really free to play. Most 4 star characters and weapons range from solid to amazing.
Lots of variety and generally a fun game with good story imo.

  12. I've spent countless nights grinding and slaughtering hilichurls, however, I got nothing out of it besides depression and guilt. Would I reccomend? Eh, idk. If you're into grinding, (underaged) anime girls, and pure depression then it's the perfect game for you.

    Barabara is best girl though.

  13. There’s a content creator here in youtube who is F2P in Genshin since day one and he got all of his favorite characters in game.. and yes you can play the game without spending money and still get your favorite character.. it is possible.. look at abraxos channel
And just like Mtashed saying that the game is easy and you can clear it without spending money

  14. I didn't think I'd like it initially, but I've put a lot of time (and some money) into it. It's not just daily quest tho. Story is decent, characters can be OP if you build them right, and if you feel like the game isn't difficult enough, there's always the abyss.

  15. Genshin impact isn't pay to win. I'm literally watching a guy who haven't spent any money on the game since it released, but one thing that is apparent if you continue to spend money your luck get worse, that's the only gotcha game that I've ever seen do that.

  16. So happy I could finally quit summoners war, now I have more time for what’s important… university jk for genshin, more time for genshin

Trivia: I achieved a Long Running goal in summoners war after 6+ years: getting any light/dark nat5 and I could finally happily quit, because the next f2p goal would’ve been g1 rta … and yeah fuck that thanks

  18. You dont need to worry about this game having too little to do. I've been playing for almost 2 years and i log in like "man, i have nothing to do" while completly ignoring the the dozens of character quests, event quests, story quests, character hangouts and world quests i just havent done yet… i play daily and STILL have map to unlock…

  19. This video is pretty outdated, and mostly very sarcastic and taken out of context, there is enough truth there that makes it funny as an inside joke, but I feel most outsiders watching it would get a bad impression of it.

  20. Genshin is honestly one of the best gacha games as far as pay to win goes. Since its free, no pvp, and generally easy enough to play without using real money. That said it does use addictive mechanics, and flashy waifu characters to make you want to spend money on it. If you play casually with low expectations and get a few characters you like you should be okay, but you get in trouble if theres a specific character you do want or if are a completionist and need to 100% every character, then you are in trouble. Generally every month you can usually get enough in game currency playing free to get a character you want, you just have to ration your spending.

  21. Genshin impact is a gatcha game that's actually playable without money. You can beat the End Game content with the base four characters your given. But you won't have to because characters and weapons aren't hard to come by thanks to the pity system that garuntees 4 and 5 star characters at certain intervals. So if anyone's hesitant to start the game because you think you need money to play all the content you really don't. And now with 4 whole nations instead of the two maxor showed there's a lot of content to get through. Give it a try

I have been lucky enough to get all the 5 stars I've wanted so far. Kazuha, mona jean, yae miko. Haven't lost a 50/50 just yet and i hope Raiden isn't the first 🙏🙏

  22. genshin had the potential to be a very good game, but the company has just been dropping the ball alot with the management of the game, and im someone who had played since launch, it will be good in the beginning but theres no real reason to play it its not really worth it, especially when hoyoverse has already confirmed they arnt going to push into harder content, or anything else, (theres just a ton of problems, and whats sad is a majority of the community white knights the game so hard they ignore the flaws that keep appearing infront of them)

  23. 6:35 Basically it can read and write shit to your computer without telling the computer it did so, and without crashing your PC while doing it. So, say for an example, the devs decided they wanted to send out a patch that would scan everyone's computer for passwords and bank information and then send it to China, no one who had the game installed and running could stop them. And they wouldn't figure out how it happened until a couple weeks after.

  24. The game is great tbh, BUT ITS GACHA, if you can control your spending then go for it, but if not then dont.

Oh and the story and lore is great imo, the vid is old and only included the prologue.

  25. Yup actually i been playing this game for 2 years i didn't even spend a cent in the game.. the game is free, the money talking is where you want to get specific character, the currency to pull character is actually free too you can get em if you do quest and exploring. But you don't want to grind then that's where you spend money. And the story is awesome.. the emotions and plot really unpredictable and emotional rollercoaster sometimes

  26. Correction:
Genshin Impact is NOT a pay to win gacha game. It is what we call "PAY TO SIMP" 😎
You can clear all that the game has to offer with just those starting characters (including those given for free later)
The game, however; will try its best to "appeal" you into wanting more characters using design, gameplay, lore etc.

  27. I got Noelle and never looked back. I've been playing with her for 2 years now. I'll admit, it took a while for me to beat certain bosses, but a war of attrition is one I can win. Also, being able to just absorb the strongest single boss attacks as Noelle is way more satisfying than you would ever guess. And now she can hit like a truck while being built like a tank, just the way I like it. Best Girl deserves the best.
