I'll be honest, the voice actress for Lumine delivered these lines better. Like, to the point where I'm convinced that Mihoyo wanted us to pick Aether.
Aether sounds sad, but also like he's been lied to and doesn't truly believe what he's doing is right. Almost llike The Abyss is convincing him of what is right and wrong. While Lumine sounds like she's one of leaders of The Abyss, and that she came to a conclusion of what's right and what's wrong based on everything she's seen and has decided what her destiny is on her own.
Just my opinion.
