Honesty all the elements could’ve been used.
Geo + dendro = erosion
Cryo + dendro = brittle
Anemo + dendro = breeze
Sorry anemo and dendro doesn’t really make much sense to me to be together but everything else could definitely work. They have their reasons for limiting it but I’m sure if they wanted they could’ve thought of something.

we have a reaction to boost physical damage and elemental damage. maybe dendro boosts the damage of reactions like vape or melt?
If you look at the kits of some of the sumeru characters, it shows some of the other effects. 3 off them are spread, quicken, and intensify.
If dendro doesn't react with cryo I wonder why they didn't just say that in the video so people don't have to be confused wondering why we aren't getting a reaction. It's almost like they feel embarrassed they couldn't come up with one. There's also the matter of geo and anemo. Is it gonna swirl or crystallize or are there no reactions?? Video was done poorly in that aspect
My guess is that you can catalyze elements, except the ones you burn or growth that would be pyro and electro, not sure what catalyze means

Someone pointed out an interesting and complex byproduct of only reacting to 3 elements… it means that you can apply dendro to a target, and then a non reactive element like cryo, and then when you hit it with an element that reacts to both dendro and cryo you get a simultaneous double reaction.
Hypothetical example:
Target gets hit with dendro and cryo… no reaction but both elements hurt them.
Then you hit them with Pyro and you get both the melt reaction+burning at the same time…. very intense. And if your Pyro character has high EM, the other 2 don't need high EM to get the maximsl effect.
Also complexity comes when you note the different reactions the seeds have to other elements… vs their reaction to eachother.
Debdro+hydro=seed… seed+Pyro explodes.
Dendro+hydro=seed… seed+electro
Seed bursts with green energy to nearby target in a kind if swooping energy tether, like lightning but different.
But electro+Pyro also explodes.
Pyro plus dendro burns and spreads… hitting that spreading burning with electro should explode all of it, like it does already in game.
So you can set up reaction chains in multiple directions. Hopefully some skills continually apply so you don't have to waste multiple skills to get new reactions with other elements.

The travelers E and Ult takes so long and does so little damage I feel like mihoyo doesn't really want ppl to use him. I hope Dendro traveler can be at least on the level of anemo traveler which is the best element on traveler thus far. But I wont hold me breath starting to wish didnt use any resources on travel and just left them on level 1

It would make alot of sense if it had a high effects with geo
I honestly hate mihoyo they only prioritise money they legit cringe at the thought of giving 1 thing away for free whether it be just making the mc useful or giving them an outfit

geo and anemo shafted again. Anemo is only carried by Viridecent venerer. Geo is ….meh might have been good if the shields applied to you instead of just droping randomly and if they stacked and blocked physical you could run with no healer or squishier characters but nope just bleh.
