let's see if TOF surpasses Genshin when in comes to company earnings on their first year, then that will be the perfect time to judge if TOF is the better Genshin

I hope the released of this game will improve genshin. Since I love genshin so much (the lore, music and aesthetic design that I love because they're proved for being beautiful as their own rather than try hard to be semi realistic HD like FPS/other game). ToF may held some similarities with genshin but it different at the same time in their own way and in a good way. I tried playing ToF and had so much fun in it. There are a lot to improve, but yes, it just released like yesterday so I guess I'll just wait and see while finishing GAA. Hope both genshin and tof players have a good day! And you too Walrus!
as a person who hates mmo, im okay wih genshin keepi g the single player as is. theyre different games. andidlike to keep itthat way.
I wanted to like ToF but.. too many things feel cheap that I'm not interested in exploring the world any further. I didn't play again yesterday, I don't know today.
I would rather compare Tower of fantasy with games like Guild wars 2 but with anime like graphics. If people compare it with Genshin then they dont know at all how Tower works

What I like most about ToF is the possibility to design the main character. That’s so cool! But for me the gameplay feels so „fast“, it feels so unnatural. I think in case of real world physics, Genshin is more relatable and that’s what I really like about it. Also the Genshin story catches me more. But the wishing system of ToF is way better than Genshin!
The game is so fun, my biggest issue is about the game is the UI and Translation and such, cause sometimes some of the text is in Spanish, the UI sometimes looks like it's 720p and not to mention it's so confusing navigating through it, but the combat is fun, exploration is made easier than genshin so that's a plus to me..
What I don't like is that I've seen a few comments where they say that the game copies genshin when it doesn't, it plays totally different than genshin, the similarities to me end at both games being gacha open world anime games.
I'd really recommend playing tof if you have the time, genshin will still be my main game but still, I really hope tof could improve genshin

I don't think can genshin can improve anymore. We have reached the midway point with Sumeru. If we don't see dramatic changes in this livestream like endgame and multiplayer improvement, it is not happening. We have to accept Genshin is what it is…
As a female casual player, I actually enjoy the fact that Genshin is mostly a single player game, and have no interest in playing ToF. I guess I have some kind of 'trauma' connected to multiplayer/pvp after playing games like Guild Wars in the past.
I tried ToF for the 2 days it’s been out and I’ve already deleted it cz it’s not worth it for me to put as much grind into it as in GI for THAT quality, nah… I learned to appreciate GI even more after ToF
I think ToF is indeed great in its own way. I prefer Genshin more just because I don't really have that much time to play any MMORPG anymore. If I had more free time, I would gladly play ToF for the multiplayer aspect. In artistic ways though, I always prefer Genshin style more. I would like to see if I can try ToF myself. I love war system, but I kinda hate one on one PvP battles.
ToF is far away from being a danger to Genshin. They show up now a handful of things they do better than Genshin, but its all thing on which Genshin rcan react on within 1-2 patches n fix these things finally, if they seriously want to , and I seriously expect that from MHY now also after 2 years of ignorance n no real character progression n feature addings.
Sumeru has to be the turning point, all active day 1 players, even non whales have reached already AR60
– Cap increases are overdue since 2.0
– QoL Improvements on the Coop System, overdue since release – Guilds, Language Filter, Voice Chat, AR Filter, Character Filter, more Coop based End Content: World Bosses, Raid Domains, Dungeon crawlers, Dedicated balanced PvP, some integrated Perma Minigames like a Card Game, Mount Races ect
– Expanded Combat Experience, adding Evade Counters, Dash Attacks, Jump Attacks, Weapon Blocking for defense permanently, Secondary Weapons for more Build Diversity, adding more equipment like Armors, Accessoires n Boots to develop our characters, new Talents, Passive Upgrades – Genshin barely makes usage yet of its potentials to improve Combat n make it more depthful, fun and variable
– Reworking n refreshing the complete Banner System, BP n Paimon Shop with new content n making alot more stuff that got removed frtom these spots craftable to make the old stuff easier to obtain over time. Reduction of bad RNG Chances to make obtaining good stuff fairer, they earned in 2 years more than enough money, its time that MHY shows some appreciation by lowering the Soft/Hardpity by 10 pulls n making Pulls cheaper, reducing the 160 Gems per pull down to say 140 Gems per pull, making it possible to get every day 1 wish with WM
These 4 points arent huge tasks to change that require a felt eternity to make, it can be all done relatively quickly and it would immediately extinguish any threatening fires of competition that ToF currently has in an instant. Especially if MHY would get rid finally of the Weapon Scam Banner, making all Weapons buyable by Star Glitter n changes the Weapon Banner instead into a Cosmetics Banner full of hundreds of Skins, Wing Gliders, Photo Filters, Stickers, Skill Skins, Emotes, Emoji Sets, Pets, Mounts, Housing Decorations ect pp n remove the Standard Banner, to have effectively vonly 2 separate Banners with 2 separate currrencies, so that it stops finally being forced to decide if you pull for Chgaracter or Weapons. Lets make it doing pulls only for Characters n make weapons just a side product you get automatically over time so more you pull, until you can buy or craft them.
Genshin Impact is not an MMO. ToF is an MMO. More importantly; ToF is an MMO run by a company with poor track records for their other MMOs. ToF is NOT what Genshin needed. People are blowing this completely out of proportions. One of the games that might show some true competition is Arknights Endfield. Very little is known of this game except it is an Open World RPG and not an MMO; and that it is being built upon already developed lore and background.
ToF has so many negatives surrounding it's development and the devs that I'm surprised people still claim it to be what Genshin needed. HYV does not care about ToF; at all. Except for ToF stealing assets from them.
If people want to play ToF that's fine and dandy; but seriously the "improvements" are just bare bone MMO features. It just shows people would rather have a "good" Anime-styled MMO instead of fantasy styled (IE: FFXIV or WoW). Genshin is not that; and will never be that either.
I don't care about multiplayer, if anything I don't want it in Genshin, but if they copy at least these, that's enough for me.
-Open world chests actually having a decent amount of wishes. (ToF had the equivalent of 1 standard wish and 20 primogems in each one-use chest.)
-Lesser open world chests respawning (These didn't have prmogems but had exp, gold and weapon upgrade materials.)
-Skip button for the story
That's all I need in Genshin, really.
Askin genshin to have a guild interface in game. Same genshin who doesn't have a interface to daily login reward.
Is Tower Of Fantasy what Genshin Impact needed to reach the NEXT LEVEL? not really. outside of looks this are 2 really different games. the big problem of ToF is its combat. all weapons of the same type have the same skills and combos. there more of the same as longer as you go. in gemshin lots of characters got different weapon skills. so in short ToF is a really fun game at the start but after a weak of play will lose its magic. the longer you go you see parts of the game that was not polished at all.
I have zero interest on ToF just because it's an MMO, I don't want an MMO expererience since I'm tired of it already. It's just a preference thing I guess.
If Wuthering Waves and Blue Protocol do releases. I don't see any future for this game when those games are already available
