I got to play Tower of Fantasy early, and I wanted to make a video that talks about how it stacks up to other games, and whether or not its worth your time. I hope you enjoy my review!

  1. Games like ToF make me appreciate more genshin, they take time for regions but the world feels alive and looks beautiful, ToF looks cheap and empty, the combat is clunky it has good stuff like some cinematics the characters move like a normal person would, but there is a huge gap on quality.
I plan to keep playing ToF but is such a bad start, long queue on release, maintenance, servers closed with no news and a ton of lag…

  2. So, like it seems that they really want you to get a lot of hard to get Characters. First off, there is the Shield Breakers, around half the enemies will have Shield, and this Shield isn't like genshins where a certain type of Element does the best against it, no you need a different kind of damage, some Characters do high Shield DMG and low actual DMG, some Vise-versa. this and the Element Matchup makes you have to have a lot DMG Dealing units. in Genshin, you can get a singular 5 star Main DPS and then a bunch of 4 star characters for supports. but in Tower Of Fantasy, there are only 4 SR Characters. Sr being their equivalent to 4 star. while there is a Healer, Shield Breaker, Buffer and Main DPS. all of them Drop off HARD after the beginning of the game, except for the Healer. being literally the WORST Characters in the game by far. So it pushes you into getting at least 2 5 stars if not 3-4 just top have a good team against multiple different enemies. Shield Breaker, and the 3 Elements for the different enemies. AND THATS JUST FOR DPS. if you want betters supports, you're gonna need 5-6 SSR Characters. along with the very unpolished Gameplay and the bland world design. it seems like a money ngrab more than anything. in Genshin you can still use all 4 star teams and beat he HARDEST content in the game. is it harder? yes, but Sucrose, Bennett, Xingqiu, and Xiangling are still amazing characters that see alot fo use in the Spiral Abyss.Yes their DMG is lower than others but Rosaria Beidou and Yanfei are still used by people that don't have 5 stars, or that just like using them.

  3. I’m currently playing the game and yeah a bunch of stuff are copied from Genshin. From the start you pick your “Wanderer” which is either a boy or girl running away from something. The spear and bow combat that I’ve seen to far are just copy’s. You can play if you want but this game just kinda feels like a bootleg Genshin Honkai crossover.

  4. Personally i really like ToF, ive played alot genshin and i really like it, im just not a big fan of the single player aspect, i love seeing other people in my game and seeing theyre characters. Ive played alot of mmos so thats prob why im not used to the single player part but both are really fun for me, but genshin is definitely alot more built, its a polished diamond, while ToF is just not at that level

  5. as someone looking to try this game out, it looks like what i've always wanted genshin to be
an anime mmo focused on building a character, instead of pulling for the new overpowered one

  6. Personally I think the only problem of ToF is that it takes too much from Genshin, but in terms of animations and character designs, that's the bad and sad (it's at the limit of copyright). BUT as an mmo is actually one of the best that I have experienced, even with all the patchable problems and the gatcha system. Yes, because gatcha intrigues me, but is a problem for a mmo, because been stronger because I roll better just sucks. But I don't care about pvp, so it's not a problem (for me at least). And it's good for all those people who find interesting genshin but get scared of the combat system, more strategic and particular. Here you get the weapon, level up and you're stronger, like an average mmo, but with a fun gameplay. In my opinion, the thing with ToF is: it's not good as a Genshin-like, but it's very very good as an anime mmo.

  7. I actually like the game and love that our mc got a bit more personality than in Genshin. But I’m a person who loves game lore and story lines in general ( I don’t play for fighting) , and this is where tower of fantasy is triggering me. It’s not only predictable, but it gets also problematic when the some certain characters (which are considered to be important) annoying as hell and you just wish they would disappear. The characters who are interesting or interesting scenes are falling too short. It’s also bad when side quests with unnecessary npcs are more interesting and thrilling than the actual quest. Genshins story line was in the beginning really good and kept you interesting , which is in my opinion really important. And this is where ToF‘s really lagging.

  8. I tried it but it didn’t really hook me like Genshin did. I think because I’m more into fantasy than sci-fi but also because from the start I was invested in the characters, story, and world. But when I tried this I wasn’t really invested but I think that’s because I didn’t get the shield weapon that was the only reason I was willing to try it other than for the character creation.
