Is the Traveler doomed in Natlan vs Capitano? (Genshin Impact 4.6 Lore, Theory and Reaction)
I havent gone over all the natlan stuff we found out this patch, ill do that at some point. wanted to quickly get this out though just cause there seemed to be (some?) confusion about the arlecchino story quest where she and the traveler fought and the traveler lost badly. havent seen a fight that one sided since they fought our beloved sustainer of heavenly principles. naturally this has led people to talk about natlan, the pyro archon and capitano, hell even columbina; and what this all will mean for the traveler given if they couldnt defeat the 4th rank fatui harbinger, what will happen against the 1st ranked fatui harbinger? especially given the only harbingers the traveler has beat with their might alone, are childe and la signora. on a separate note, is clorindes weapon any good? idrc for sigewinne so now im contemplating clorinde weapon cause I liked her gameplay leaks and animations.

Training arc is about to be crazy
I honestly think the traveler getting absolutely stomped by the knave is a good thing cause if the traveler could easily beat the harbingers who are some of the strongest ppl in all of Teyvat it would just seem like plot armor and that would become predictable. So I think a good training arc would be good for traveler, plus if they’re the strongest in the land it better seem like it
Traveller casually forgets that they are able to use multiple elements like the fight with Childe is kinda shit tbh

Also the traveler beating arlecchino wouldn't make sense wince the top 3 rivals the archons. Beating her would make traveler as strong as the archons and would cause problems for the story
We're doomed. I'm thinking something special will happen.. I saw a video somewhere talking about combining elements to form new ones which would require us to have pyro as a catalyst first and that would allow us to use primordial/ abyssal
I actually like it that way because it brought back the idea that Fatui is actually a faction that needs to be taken seriously. I mean it's not like the faction was basically a laughingstock but from what we saw the traveler could hold their own against Signora, Childe and Scaramouche which gave you that idea that Harbingers aren't that big and dangerous and now Arlecchino basically effortlessly humbled Traveler without as much as raising a finger and that's the traveler that's STRONGER than during their encounter with previously mentioned harbingers. This now tells us that the top Fatui Harbingers are basically Archon level if not above it, potentially placing Arlecchino just below Raiden and Zhongli in terms of power level… Capitano and Culumbina will be absurdly OP and if the Traveler can't beat Arlecchino… best of luck lmao

It's be sick if we went to Natlan, got the shit beaten out of us by Columbina, then were trained by Capitano to become stronger.
It’s kind of weird to me that the story has been structured such that we fight entirely on our own. Like sure we’re not strong enough to solo Capitano at this point but the story gives little to no explanation about why we would need to solve the problem ourselves anyway. Neuvillette is now one of the most powerful entities we’ve encountered in Teyvat with his sovereignty restored, so why tf is this super important mission to confront the fatui just going to be us, a completely unaffiliated third party, against the entirety of the Harbingers.

I think in Natlan Traveler will finally have a powerup. Or, maybe, new sword
Considering Natlan is the nation of war, it makes sense for them to send the strongest harbringer, the Captain to engage in combat with the archon while having the rank 2 and other random harbringers below to conduct behind the scene acts.
I mean, hoyo doesn't really care about traveler, the only time traveler gets to shine and actually show some personality is during world quests and they don't even voice it
You would think that we are 5 regions into the story and the traveller should've regained more than half of their former strength at this point, but no they're still getting easily clapped by a pseudo-god level character, though at the end of the day the traveller is a free product, it's not gonna make them money but Arlecchino, Capitano will make them a lot of money, so let the traveller be their punching bag so that it makes the harbingers look even stronger. Even against Signora they had her killed off by raiden to make raiden look strong & against scaramouche they had nahida carry the entire fight to make her look strong.
I want justice, so the traveler should use the festering desire and not the dull blade or what is it's name

CatWithBlueHat has summarized traveler's fights so far and it really shows that the traveler and the twins have no sheer raw power on their own but their true skill lie in uniting with others to fight a stronger enemy. Instead of strong muscles or an innate knowledge or a neck-breaking speed and agility, the twins are blessed with the Power of Rizz, as we have seen when we got some Teyvat girls wet their panties regardless of the chosen player's gender (jokingly) but also making strangers and people they meet for the first time ease up and open themselves to the traveler.
no wonder the AByss sibling has been chosen as the Prince/Princess to lead the abyss because handling a ragtag group like that takes a lot of leadership skills, charisma and walking the power balance of fear and love of the constituents.
The traveler's powers were sealed even he/she isn't powerful enough you can't easily destroy the traveler's body that easily

I dont think we'll fight him. Capitano seems to be the most honorable and righteous out of all the harbingers, traveler might get along with him. Arlecchino is a build up for traveler not to be hostile with the fatui all the time

In all seriousness though, maybe if Traveler got a better sword and the writers actually bothered to let the Traveler develop his/her skills as a character instead of keeping us in an endless loop of getting our asses saved then it could make everything cooler. But I guess Mihoyo's writers are just gonna keep the Traveler nerfed forever.
Still think the Twins are "Observers" or "Recorders of History", they've travelled to many other worlds, witnessed the birth and death of stars, basically can use every element/power but chooses not to, since doing so could potentially mess with what's supposed to happen, they can be part of the "History" of a world or event, but they can't fully be directly involved in a major way where they basically solve things by themselves.
It should be noted that the Traveler is super vulnerable to any sort of mental effect, usually being dropped instantly or frozen in plane for extended periods of time whenever they encounter them, and Arlecchino's Crimson Moon Domain Expansion might count as a mental attack.
Hopefully, they will get some of that godly residence to such things that Dottore mentioned.
What, don't forget that the Traveler canonically gets stronger each time they resonate with a new Element.

Nah! I think Traveler will now get an Insane Character Building Arc, where he will run 10 Km a day, do 100 Pushaps daily, gonna avoid eating Junk food and eat Carbs and Nutrition, and with lots of 5 hour Gym Training he will gain Archon Strength and also we will get S+ tier Pyro Traveler in Natlan.
I’m not even that surprised that traveller isn’t as strong as they seem at first glance. I mean think about it, they had help fighting Dvalin from Jean, Diluc and Venti, had help fighting Osial from Ninnguang, the adeptus and the Qixing, had help fighting Raiden from the wills of others and Miko and then again had help fighting Scaramouche from Nahida. Almost all the significant battles so far (apart from Childe and Signora, the weaker ones of the harbingers, and a few domain bosses) have been successful due to Archons or important characters, they haven’t actually defeated that many significant foes completely on their own. It’s something I’ve noticed for a while now and I’m glad people are beginning to realise it thanks to Arlecchino.
