  1. My 2nd Account with no dendro only c6 raiden + c0 ayaka can still beat abyss but its getting way harder and harder… but still can clear content without playing/grinding the 2nd Account
Until floor 11 everything is free. Floor 12 just a team check

  2. Imo Furina constellations are worth the most as she buffs all characters and her cons ease her need for team wide healers, c2-3 makes the best buffer in the game and she probably will remain that way forever, not to mention she’s hydro the best element in the game. I say this because getting her constellations basically set your whole account up for success. I definitely think we’re going to get a difficulty spike later in fontaine

  3. The thing is Spiral abyss is not really mandatory nor is it a large portion of the game so using abyss as a justification is irrelevant, if you mentioned the new overworld minibosses then I could say I agree because that is the evolution no one is talking about. This all said we miss ya dude. Both vertical and Horizontal imo are both relevant. Go horizontally for when you wish to have more synergy and a team you enjoy then invest vertically.

  4. I've been playing Genshin for 2+ years and C1R1 Nevillette+C2 Furina was a game changer for me. After getting them I realized that before that I did not know what "quality of life" truly means. Even C2 Raiden never felt that impactful. As for characters there are only so many slots on the team, you can't use all of them at the same time and most of them will be benched anyways. (btw the current C2 of Furina is actually her original C6, but it was switched in beta)

  5. After playing Genshin for almost a year and borrowed someone's whale account. I could say is pull for premium teams that's based around your main then after that is when you ask for cons or horizontal character pulling.

I like clearing the game with no hiccups but i also want to feel the game enough that i don't single cycle a wave in floor 12 that's just boring. If i think pulling for characters cons exceedingly breaks that barrier i won't pull for cons

  7. Right now, I enjoy Genshin like a resource management game, so I do a bit of both points you mentioned. Still, at the end I'd rather define myself as a collector, so grabing characters I like is important, so I'll save and manage my primo carefully. I like also making line ups and building characters, so I'll do intensive Artefact farming. I usually play a line until their Friendship is maxed out, then I change for a new one. During that time, the current line up farms for the future one, which can have older characters blend in. That way, I'm not always using the same line and the same characters, and this rotation follow me into exploration as well, so my time in Genshin is marked and signed by the specific line up I used at a given time.

  8. I don’t really have anyone I LOVE in Genshin, a character I want to play as/with all of the time, even Kazuha (who I love dearly) is boring at this point, after playing him for a year and a half in all exploration teams
I fall in love with characters through story and inevitably want to “get ‘em all”. In the beginning of playing genshin, I pulled for everyone, and I mean EVERYONE. After about a year of this, I’ve changed my mindset towards collecting the rest of the roster I find interesting (I would love to have a Nilou, her mechanic is very interesting to me). And now I’m slowly building the characters to be fit for Abyss. But for me it’s just a bonus, that I don’t really care about right now.
For me the approach of just vertically investing into 8 best units won’t work, I get bored easily and now my Abyss roster consists of about 20-25 characters and I’m still planning to pull for more…
Right now I’m saving for the characters I want, but considering both pulling constellations and signature weapons. But I’m guessing that’s a result of me having already collected a lot of characters.
We’ve had this conversation with a friend and I’ve told her exactly what you said in the video “I’m just collecting dolls to play with, discarding them once they become boring and rediscovering them after some time has passed”.

  9. I should say, I get Cons only on reruns or you'll may end like me regretting having a C1 Xiao that's never use

Instead, I plan to get 1 cons only on reruns to really realize if I'll use the character frequently, out of it

Getting cons on first launch it's a Waste and so risky

  10. I prefer getting cons over new character i would play for one month with

And if I really like the characters it a Ezz choice to invest in that character to make them the best they can be and so I can enjoy them long term

  11. If I had to choose I prefer collection over constellations. The only constellation I go for I characters I love to play a lot. It’s the only reason why I have raiden C2 cuz I love how smoothly she plays with her skill and burst. It’s short and quick and great for quick Dawson teams. The only character might get C4 is with is maybe the pyro archon cuz I just love the reaction of overload and I want to make cracked units with that.

  12. Now a days maybe constellations may be better since there’s so many characters especially if your a new player you have more opportunities to get more characters that’s free to play available. And just go for characters you like.

  13. Yeah sure, the game is easy and you don't need the cons. But, I'd rather have my units strong and invested than 100 character roster that just sit there benched. I have C6 Furina (the only C6 besides Nahida), and the teams I can play with her is so so good, and her c6 (which is only one c6), made any dps I paired her with feel like they also own C6 and it feels so new and refreshing.

  14. The newer cons are so broken it's just wow. Compared to how they used to be (Venti C6, Xiao C6, Childe C6, Zhongli C6) were all pretty underwhelming, and now?? C2 Yelan, C2 Furina, C2 Raiden, Nahida, Neuvillette, etc are so strong that you won't even need any other units to clear the game fast.

  15. If you are a new player, I'm all for getting a wide range of characters, covering elements and types (healer, DPS, tank etc). Having played since month 1, I already have several well-built teams and I'm seeing certain characters repeating in teams. So for me, it's worth ignoring the new bait and aiming for a con on an often utilised unit. Not to spend money, but stockpile the game given gems. I have a con on Nahida, Yelan, Kazuha and 2 on Furina. These are characters I love to play with and I've seen the buff with the con(s). I'll likely never 6 star anyone, but I'd like a con or two on Raiden and maybe Alhaitham 🤔

  16. After three years I am a dozen characters short of the complete set. I have C6'd eighteen 4-stars and have seven 5-stars with one to four constellations. However, during the second half of Sumeru I decided that there were characters that I really liked and that I wanted to push higher. There were four I wanted to C2. I have hit that goal with one and am half way with another. I am still interested in collecting since trying out new characters is what makes Genshin fun for me. I will be going after a C0 Navia and good or bad, I want a Clorinde, but if one of my chosen characters rerun along the way I am going to have to make some decisions.

  17. Agreed. I have too many 5 stars. Takes too long to get good artifacts if you have a lot of characters. On top of that, you have to come up with weapons for them all. It's not just your premos, it's your time and resin you have to watch out for. Fewer characters mean better artifacts plus more constellations which equals much stronger teams.

  18. The way I've always seen it and has worked for me is I only pull for characters i enjoy or whose gameplay i love. Meta or not it doesn't matter. From there if I REALLY love them ill try to get a con during a rerun. I love Hu tao and getting her c1 and weapon made her feel so fun to play. Next time furina reruns I will get her c1. I dont subscribe fully to each camp and see good things in both.

  19. you got a bad take for why you think the game is not easy…. you keep using the abyss to say why the game is hard…. as a new player i have not even looked at the abyss. all i care about is story mode quests and yes the game is EASY through the story. i know the game is hard in abyss but i dont count that. its OPTIONAL. i dont need to do the abyss. so the game is not hard.

  20. 910 days & 69 characters in & the only planned vertical investment so far is C2 Kazuha. I have s few C1 limited 5*s but they were double drops & not intentional. While vertical investment is becoming more appealing I srill prefer diversity of gameplay so will still add to my roster if I enjoy the combat mechanics of a new character over improving one I already have.

  21. I started playing in 3.8 just before the wanderer banner (who is my current main) but I’m planning on getting at least a few good 5 stars from different elements and play styles before focusing on 1/2 main characters for abyss clears

  22. I personally like pulling for new characters at c0. For me i get a little tired of running one team for extended amounts of time. I'll invest in their team and artifacts till they can clear abyss and ill stop investing on the team.

  23. For me all Yelan constalations are worth pulling in rerun. Also Nahida c2 is game changer. I have Nuevillette c3 and I don't want to go more… it's ok to hit 8x 90k in 3 seconds.

  24. I started in 2.8. I started vertical investing from the start. To me, there is no need to have 10+ on-field DPS characters unless you're a collector. I never saw the point of collecting so many characters to build them out them bench them most of the time.

  25. I have been building horizontally so far as I don't have a good second team for abyss. A good hydro character was where my account fell short (wasn't able to get Yelan). However, I got Furina and 9 starred floor 12 of the abyss for the first time this cycle. I am planning to go for Raiden C2 during her rerun because I really like the character. Initially I was saving for C2 and then I would buy a few crystal packs to try and get C3 and EL but I spent the gems on Furina so that's probably not going to happen. But I am definitely going for her C2.

  26. Oh yeah, difficulty spikes…aka: damage sponge mobs+ some mobs can one shot your team. Worth tossing thousands of primos for constellations on characters that will be crippled within 2-3 patches. /s

  27. I agree.
I don't own that many 5 star characters.
I decided that I would vertically invest them because I'd rather have characters that are strong and I use often than characters sitting in storage that I don't use.
