Yea but I don't think they'll make the abyss any easier until some people stop being able to beat it with 4 star units only…
I've been just doing 1 run of spiral abyss and taking the stars I get. The past few cycles I've not even bothered doing 12. I can usually 9* floor 11 on first run and then I stop. Not worth the 150 primogems…. especially because it's just annoying difficult and not actually mechanically difficult
People who are complaining about the "difficulty spike" in this spiral abyss are just whining over the fact they need to spend more time and effort into getting the full "rewards".
The difficulty was fine (although I don't like the beasts), I think the problem was that the blessing was trash, who uses normal attacks besides Yoimiya?
For some reason Genshin players have this "I will not play unless I am rewarded for playing" mentality which is so weird for me. I hate doing floors 9-11 because there is no challenge there, those floors are just the price to pay to finally get to the fun part. It's as if this game only caters to the players who are afraid of anything that is a bit challenging.
Opinion this abyss cycle 3.7 I cannot 36 star it but I only got 33 star this abyss but still ok and I don't stress too much extra primo and mora I miss for 36 star reward?
I don’t even do floor 12… it’s annoying I skip it every time without fail. It’s not even a challenge it just feels like you’re wasting time for no reason how do people actually like playing this trash, It’s not endgame it never will be
Abyss is trash, just bad design that they do not even want to think on how to improve. There is nothing hard here, just bad content that forces people to use certain characters.
Using enemies in waves with tons of HP, stupid attack animations that make them dance all over the place while they are also almost immune to CC, plus giving insane damage to some of them, this is just fucking annoying.
And to top it all, like you said the rewards are a fucking joke, there is absolutely no reason for me to try more than once for the extra 50 primogems every two weeks, just to get 1 extra wish every ~45 days.

Honestly, I didn't find it hard, per se. It was more annoying, because it limited team composition more.
This Abyss is not a vertical investment one, but rather, a horizontal one. And, unfortunately, horizontal is pretty limited by resin, due to the excessive artifact RNG, as well as primos (which also limits vertical, of course).

Its because many players keep asking for end game. So when they delievered those players get mad so its hard to please them. Once they tried over 10 times, they wil giv up and quit.
abyss is getting out of hand. it’s getting ridiculously difficult that it’s not at all fun. to those saying it’s a skill issue, you have brain issue. i refuse to accept it’s a skill issue. i have 36-starred the Abyss for the past 1.5 years. and have 36-starred this abyss finally after so MANY tries. i just got a very lucky RNG run where everything aligned for me during the last round i got the last star. but it was a garbage experience. even after getting 36 stars, it didn’t feel fulfilling. and quite honestly, i felt that i wasted my time getting the last 50 primogems. i probably would have been more productive doing something else than stressing out to get the last abyss star. it just isn’t challenging anymore. it’s just ridiculous.
8:59 i can 36 star the abyss. have been able to for the past 1.5 years. doesn’t mean i want it to get ridiculously harder that i’d spend more time with it. i just want the rewards. get in, get out. i don’t wanna spend longer hours with the abyss. making the abyss significantly harder and harder makes me NOT wanna play it more and more, actually. and hoyoverse says they don’t want to stress out its players. smh.
Meh, I got the 36 easy. Didn't take too long. I don't think some new guy should be able to beat something that easily.
💡idea: whenever you 36 stars the abyss, the game gives you a special item. collect this item 20x and you can get a 5* constellation.
I never sweat floor 12 for 150 primos its not just worth my time. Im more than happy with 6 stars with few tries
As a welkin player which has 36* for the last year, I did 34* in my first try this Abyss with no constellations on my 5* Chars. and now the key question: Is it funny to try few more times for 50 primos? Just for less than a 3rd of a pull, which is in first line a useless 3* weapon? Not really. Is it tempting or motivating to me going for 5* constellations to get the last 50 primos in my first run? 100% NO WTF?!.
This kind of "End game" is so pointless and boring. Give me a "game-reward" which is meaningfull from an endgame perspective like "artifact stat reroll material", a "6* artifact", "farmable end game weapon", "constellation material". Just give me a reward which motivates me to play the end game for the reward to feel PROGRESS within the End Game.
But again, this is not what Genshin is supposed to be so thats why even the discussion about Abyss and End Game is also bosing AF.
I'm the minority in Genshin players. I didn't 3 star chamber one due to the enemy shields, but I didn't have too much trouble on the other two, and I don't play meta teams.
I don't see how light spenders or whales like other YouTubers are complaining. It should be trivial for them
Thank you for pointing out Mihoyo not having to try. I noticed this very early on and it's why I don't play genshin often anymore.
I already gave up and stayed at F11 my time and wrist health is more important than getting the perfect scenario to get through this abbyss
The thing that I like about the abyss now is the addition of the consecrated beasts as they are the only mobs who actually can kill you. As most mobs there are just hp sponges. But yeah, what makes the abyss annoying to me is the consecrated beasts. Imo they should actually make more mobs like them but remove the time limit.
Then simple do something like arknights where you simply ban certain classes(referencing to CC stages where there is a difficulty options healer/tanks or shielders can be banned)
I was not expecting 2 waves of consecrated beasts…
For the first time I farmed HP sets for Zhongli, trying to reach 60k (currently at 58k)
I used Geo resonance for Wanderer, and my next set will probably be Retracing Bolide for insane shield
I could have used Hyperbloom but second half needed good elemental applicators
Yay, all you need to do is spend thousands and thousands of primos for constellations just to get 150 twice a month… What a deal ! I'd rather skip the 12th floor and that's it, thank you.

I've been saying Spiral Abyss is a scam ever since too, you need to spend a lot to make sure you get the max Primos totaling 3.75 pulls. Whales don't need the "rewards", its probably just something to do and/or brag about. It maybe a plot to make dolphins spend more since I think that is bulk of their customers.
I am a F2P playing since v1.1 every day. I have all but 6 limited 5* because I don't like Them for some reason and no (useable) 5* weapon. I never tried any new team or Character in Abyss coz Itto and Raiden National could always clear floor 12 with 36* overall with a little effort. I had like 6-8 5* Characters that I lovingly pulled not built properly as They were able to survive and kill outworld mobs and never used in Abyss.
It was in last abyss that I was forced to build a freeze team for Ayaka and Ganyu. This abyss was even harder so got to build Hyperbloom, Burgon and started on Yae team. This Abyss was hard and challenging, not unbeatable. I loved the challenge. Going from a bi-monthly routine of half an hour to having to think, build, invest and enjoy is a nice change. Abyss in not impossible for F2P. Just needs more time, character and investment.

The only problem I find in what you said is your take on "kits" as it goes on presumption that all kits are objectively useful or Not useful. A major issue i find with meta characters and Metas in general is they ignore aspects of subjectivity such as kits. Many would say alhaitham, is objectively useful or Yelan is objectively good but to me their kits feel awful to play, same as Bennett and Xiangling sadly. I find Kaveh feels more fluid than Alhaitham for sure. I don't care about abyss it was never fun to me i got to floor 12 a few times just to show i could but I stop at end of floor 11 i really cannot be bothered to give a crud about abyss. If it had a co op function it could be fun but I digress abyss is meh.
I think the problem with this abyss is the restriction of characters rather then difficulty itself. Take floor 12 2nd half for example. F1 Hydro and cryo shields F2 Imune to electro F3 Hydro, cryo and pyro shields. What team are you supposed to use here? And for the first half, consecrated beast are good units that have a place in the game, just NOT in time restricted content. It becomes tedious to beat rather then a fun challenge. First time in a long while i will not bother to 36 star abyss.
