I just had the strangest epiphany while watching this video. And it has nothing to do with genshin or this video. The level of thought and detail put into these videos gets my philosophical juices flowing
Interesting video! I’m not someone with strong opinions about: mihoyo, or genshin monetization. But the only thing I would say: I watch summon videos, because they are interesting and slight wish fulfillment- but it’s jarring you have to drop 100$-600$!! Creators say it’s a business expense- which I get, but it’s interesting; especially if they don’t get who they want because of pity!! But to other players: value your time and money- because at the end of the day, you only have so much of it. Enjoy genshin, spend a little on it, especially if it’s something valuable to you , I think it’s valid; but be critical, it’s okay to disengage/ or to skip characters- or to spend 4hrs playing on a Friday night: as long it’s not actively taking away opportunities to be happy or to gain something positive- then I think, you’re healthly engaging with the game. And about monetization in general:- I respect and understand they have to make money; but with certain decisions that companies make, I only think: That sometimes they cheat themselves out of longevity- certain games have a short shelf life, which is okay- however I think games not only caps themselves, but stop their own potential impact on fans, and the game scene. But hey, I could be dead wrong
i still have the top up bonus and i am on playstation. the biggest pack costs 110€ and that would give me 81 wishes, which is not not even a guaranteed 5 star and i could loose the 50/50…..
The point you brought up at the end of generosity begetting generosity is so spot on imho – I was Welkin+BP at the start of the game but I quickly stopped getting the BP after I felt like HYV really was uninterested in looking after their player base and the pitiful “anniversary” cemented that. Monthly Welkin = 60 USD a year which is what a game typically costs and I refuse to give HYV more. Had they done more to make me feel like they were grateful, I would still be getting the BP every month.
if u feel hardpressed to get c6 of every character then yes. but if u just want the character and have self control with spending and pulling u hardly even feel it (i could spend just as much on lunch as the cost of a welkin). the pity carries forward so all in all u will always get something around the 70+ pulls (except for weapon ofc, that banner is a scam). their other game is better for character pity (only 100 instead of 180 in genshin) but that game also has a whole another layer of RNG for stigma and weapon. the absence of safety net is what prevented me from ever topping up in fgo. i dont even pull gssr because its not even guarantee to get what i want
I've played a lot of gacha games myself, mostly F2P. The only times I've spent prior to Genshin were on FGO for a guaranteed SSR ($15~ cost). I've dropped at least around $100 (Welkin + BP) in Genshin which is considered a large sum for a majority of people in our country
If Genshin were to become more generous, do you think it'd recieve the cookie run kingdom treatment?
What I mean is… do you think players would lose interest? Devsisters gave a lot of compensation for cookie run kingdom, so many people dropped Genshin during the "genshin anniversary rewards" situation. Yet after a while, people stopped playing. They already had so many of the cookies, with not much of an idea or thought of what to do. And players who had already played the game were kinda fizzled with the lack of external things to do. Of course there are still hardcore fans of cookie run, but the community really died down. Especially with the lack of endgame content in Genshin, do you think this could happen? (Just a thought)
You, are not wrong. Frankly, their honkai impact seems to have better reward per month. Like, by spending time (2-3 months) on the BP system, you can exchange for weapon which has extra bonus for specific character. However, in comparisons, genshin doesn't have it. Although i am f2p player on both sides, I am more willing to spend on honkai if I am financially able to. Genshin has too little incentive for f2p.
Here in Brazil is definitely too expensive, the 6000 primos package is half of a minimum wage, they just convert the price from dollar! For digital goods that is absurd and unnecessary.
I dont know if f2p expirience differs that much from a dolphin, but tbh I dont htink this game is expensive or anything. You just need to choose and be ready to wait – thats all. Here s the thing – id gladly become a whale, but there is literally no reason to. Like, i cant convince myself I even need constellations because on c0 everything dies too quickly for me to enjoy the game already. It is a good thing for f2p, but from my perspective the problems that if you pay – you get nothing but gacha thrill. And then there is a downside- you have nowhere to play with your characters. On the other hand, f2p can enjoy the game and getting stronger process longer, i think
Genshin Impact isn’t expensive compared to people buying Cosplay fits, games that cost $60 bucks, etc Who cares! You have the options to not buy miscellaneous
Crystals Battlepass Skins
Like none of that is related to Archon story 🤦🏻 I’m free to play Like its funny how people complain about prices when they pay for $60 games, when they pay for PlayStation 4/5 when they’re expensive, when they pay for membership 😂 when I laugh and think who cares about how much money Genshin Impact is. I put money to Fortnite do you see me complaining🤷♂️ Then don’t buy miscellaneous stuff. Play for FREE people that’s what Genshin is a Free to Play game or you all forgot it is???! Like I don’t need crystals I can just get Primogems free through events and endgame. Or you have options to buy miscellaneous stuff. Doesn’t matter I get characters just same as everyone else 😂
Seeing how I haven't spent a penny. (cuz the cosmetics are terrible so far) No, it's pretty cheap.
Hey, idk about the rest of this video but all I can say is, if the drugs make you happy, don't buy the drugs mate, it'll fuck you up

thank you so much, you had prevented me to pull for aqua simulacra, i almost couldn't stand the temptation

no
There's also the fact that spiral abyss rewards are still the same, and getting harder for new players to utilize their character's artifacts
Man I feel dumb for not beeing able to pass abyss 12 yet but I'm decided to just use waifu characters
Question: will you do a video on genshin world quests?

yes it is
Genshin be making billions but still wont improve endgame and artifact farming for more veteran players
You, are not wrong.

Im glad theyre so insanely expensive if there was a button to pay 20 dollars and get the newest 5 star I wouldnt be a f2p

Of all the stuff discussed I relate the most with Editor-san.
The fact is I don’t pay for shit. 😂💁🏼
