I still find the weekly bosses and some of the late material bosses fun to fight. Still, i make bad builds on purpose to make the game more chalenging like using amber or not using a perfect artifact set. Its like im imposing a pokemon nuzlocke on myself to make the combat fun, and it actually makes me enjoy the combat more. I would like more world levels though, but i accepted that will never happen.
it's kinda ridiculous that I can beat abyss with only 4 stars and my mains being yanfei and chongyun. I wish the combat had more to it because I don't play as often as I use to.

I played since 1.0 and tbh I like that it is that easy. Increased difficulty would force me to use only characters with best builds. It could get boring pretty quickly cause the most fun part for me is mixing and changing teams to have fun with different comps and reactions. Also it's not as easy for newer players in general. It's great if someone doesn't spend hours on playing, optimizing artifacts and teams.
Genshin is so boring and easy that I literally got off for 14 days ( tm is my 14th day) to get any content and have fun so I can get stroller reunion
People (like me) who want additional challening gameplay is a very small minority even though it seems like the majority when you look at content creators and their viewers. But the fact is that genshin has tens of milions of causal players that have more buying power combined and such a huge audience really is worth more than just direct income, the reach it gives mihoyo is invaluable.
I like more aspects about the game than the combat though so im not fussed if genshin stays like it is.
I enjoy the story, music, world building and characters too.
I can’t even remember the last time I did my Daily missions. Absolutely mind numbing Lu boring.

I actually still like the game. I'm at AR45 leveling the characters I have and don't feel the need to progress to AR60 like a lot of players. I don't have time to play the Abyss normally. I do stuff in Serenitea which is stuck in maintenance mode. Saying things are "too easy" eventually will make the game difficult for all players whether they want more difficulty or not. Did you guys ever consider the fact that the majority of the player base could be having fun at the current difficulty level in the game and not consider it "too easy"? We complete the surveys. Hoyoverse should have an idea about what we want by now.
Genshin endgame loop is definitely poor. That's how it is. You either quit waiting for Hoyo to do something about it or you cope by playing other games with more engaging endgame loop.
Tho ppl saying they are quitting Genshin and not deleting their account are delusional. Quit then rejoin after new patch drops, quit again, rejoin after patch. It's not quitting lmao. The true Genshin quit is deleting your account.

I joined this game literally don't remember when since I played till AR 5-6 and dropped it. Then I came back on zhongli re run because he was so good looking. After that, i dropped it for a while too. I came back to play seriously on kazuha's banner which I didn't even get. And I have so many characters right now, but no where to use them, except floor 12. Sadly, I still can't clear floor 12 because I hate doing artifacts.
I've joined on November 2020, and still playing constantly. I guess the content is dry for content creators. But for us casuals, there are a lot of things to do. And Genshin is still a better game than those sweat hard team games like League of Legends or Valorant, hehehehehe

this game is made for casual players. all the updates revolved around casual activities. it just people try hard, sweating over this game. wanna play harder game? try honkai, you will get what is called hard gacha game.
I don't know what they're gonna do, but they have to do something. I'd rather they add more difficult content tailored for the veteran players while keeping the current easy content for the super casuals.

I’d love to see a tower like challenge where the higher you go the harder it gets and the better the rewards and you will feel like your actually getting useful items deep into it instead of ughhh it’s abyss reset again I gotta do this for my primos. Yeah it can give primos but maybe other items like billets dream solvent artifact boxes fragile resin etc. But also maybe have some time of leader board (for those that like those things) and see how far and how fast you can go into the tower in comparison to the leaderboards

-another endgame mode maybe like boss rush or infinite mode

Just a few ideas
For example I miss backgrounds or special-themed Avatars for doing events better than needed. In last events I've easily achieved Platinum instead of gold, but for what? For my satisfaction or to proove sth to myself. It would be enough to encourage players to try harder content, so later you can be proud of your rare background or avatar. Kinda simple, easy to make, but makes you feel good that you've been rewarded for trying your best.
The problem is not introducing content with higher difficulty but how much the players who can't, or don't want to, do them will be punished for not doing them. A lot of people already consider the abyss as a chore to get the freemogems.
If the completion of difficult content is its own reward, then it's ok. But we know that some players will want to be rewarded with game stuff, and it will just become another box-testing chore for freemogems and then another lever to push the current banners.
Have anyone ever thought this game isn't difficult because it was never ment to be. Constellations was never a sign that the game will be difficult later on Constellations are there to make already easy content go a bit faster that's it. This fact is further held by the fact we are a year and a half in to this game and people still complaining the game is to easy it was never meant to be difficult especially not to justify whale spending

My problem with the “it’s too easy” perspective is that is assumes that everyone wants the exact same things from the game or gaming in general. It also assumes that everyone is an exceptional gamer who dumpsters everything easily. Speaking for myself, I’m a casual gamer. Demanding that the game become harder is a problematic request from my perspective.
I’m sure there are people who think the game is too easy but I’m also positive that there are people who find the difficultly perfect as well as people who struggle with the difficulty. Why? Because no experience is universal.
Vocal players yelling that they need the game to be harder are actively ignoring the fact that they aren’t the only ones playing Genshin Impact. Players demanding an increased difficulty are openly advocating for the exclusion of players who previously felt comfortable in the space. That’s honestly a dick move.
Should there be harder content for those that want it? Yes. There should also be content for those who don’t want to have that kind of challenge. The answer is obvious and simple: give the players that want it a space where they can push themselves in a way that doesn’t impede anyone else. Oh wait. That space exists—it’s the spiral abyss. If that’s not sufficient, the game then needs something else for the players that need it. Honestly, I’m surprised that there isn’t something like an endless wave mode. But to change everything is an unrealistic and problematic request.
The answer to the difficulty problem isn’t to escalate the game’s difficulty as a whole.

I think is more to help newer players who don’t have characters. I started on the last hutao re run.. if I needed to farm for months to beat an event that would run a lot on new people off. The spiral abyss is ok to be hard to test power. Not events.
I find the abyss to hard to clear I tend to just not go there or run away from hard boss/enemy’s as I don’t wanna die just yet lol. They should give more world levels , they should add more floors to the abyss to give players more challenges, or domains that have higher levels.

hopefully Tower of Fantasy will be good enough to knock Genshin out of it's comfort zone, there's zero competition right now so they're fine with putting out mediocre content
I'm someone who played since 1.0 or 1.2 and have build more than 2 teams for the abyss. At this point I don't have to think about the meta anymore at it feels great. My characters have gotten stronger and can clear content easily. I believe Hoyovese takes the entire community as a whole and balances everything which is why most of the fighting content are usually not that hard or relatively easy especially for super lucky people like Mtashed (He's just flexing his luck at this point). Mtashed does have a point.

3:03 Luck plays a factor in this having engulfing lightning and getting characters early or winning 50 50s can change how easy something is for you especially when you have mtashed artifact luck.
I don't think this issue will change with just the introduction of dendro. There needs to be more and harder optional end game content (Labyrinth Warriors event was a good start) and at least 1-2 another world level increases (while making world lv adjustment more flexible in case it gets too hard too quickly for newer/more casual players), but it feels like hoyo has dropped any combat system development/adjustment since 1.6. Currently it's just imbalanced and stale. There is nothing to work towards. When someone says that you need to have certain cons for a 5* unit or a signature weapon, then I don't see why… what for?
The reality is old players just suck. They finished the game at this point. Relying on them won't help the game. Even if all the problems are solved the old players will still leave and it doesn't have to be game problems, it can be real-life problems, them getting a gf or they moved on to another game. If the game wants long-term success they need to draw in new players at a fast rate. They do so with flashy ads and more stuff like a new region. The end game simply does nothing for the game cuz you can't just magically make more old players.
