Genshin Impact might be making a Roblox clown with UGC soon. If they pull it off, it could be huge

  1. By no means am I a forever negative genshin hater, but I think people expecting this to be the minecraft/skyrim/roblox mod tools handed out to players, and players will be able to do whatever they want with it…are coping. Mihoyo simply can't afford to let you make what you want because they'd be held liable for whatever you make. It's worse than US based games, too. They'll be risking violating CCP morality laws and other things. This is likely to be a minigame maker. Basically, while players will be able to make things – potentially, assuming this is real – what they'll be able to make is in the vein of existing events. I'd be surprised if we get any dialog options, so we aren't talking the big patch events, either. It'll be the minigames we get with events, essentially, but with no rewards outside of whatever we might get for some event dealing with its release. Which isn't a bad thing – if we have infinite access to mini games (please don't pull a fishing limit, Mihoyo) of all kinds that might include things like theater mechanicus that's a huge QoL improvement on a level never before seen by Genshin. It just won't be 'building Skyrim in Genshin'.

But if it were, I'd better see Zhongli as Nazeem.

  2. Knowing Mihoyo I don't expect too much from this endeavor. Although you used Minecraft and Roblox as examples, I highly doubt a Genshin would be able to reach anywhere near their level. Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft allow their users to code and import custom assets into the games, giving users an insane amount of customization. I am 100% sure a Genshin UGC mode would not allow users to code or import custom assets. I expect it to just be another one of those adventure domain game modes, combined with Tea pot and slightly expanded on. It's just gonna be simple minigames, nothing too crazy. IMO I feel like they're focusing on the wrong thing. The game has felt stagnant for 3+ years, and focusing on UGC instead of developing a fleshed out and interesting end game is such a bad move to retain player interest. Could've made a rogue-like gamemode like Arknights' integrated strategies or HSR's Swarm Disaster/Gold and Gears.

Something else I realized is this might be their plan after Genshin's story concludes. To keep the game "alive" instead of creating content themselves have players create it. If that's the case it's jover 💀.

  3. "When people have really moved away" Honestly at this point anyone who wouldve moved away probably has, genshins claws can grip pretty hard so im doubtful the amount of players quitting is any higher than the amount joining. It seems like its found a healthy fanbase and occasionally spikes with a cool character

  4. ugc, definitely doing what fortnite and roblox do, you can tell what audience these markets to, its for fun and some competetive/challenging stuff. I think its just safe to assume end game content isn't coming anytime soon or maybe not at all. They're not catering to players who are there for end-game when majority of the playerbase (probably) aren't that type of people, just the average day-to-day people whos there for casual playing.

  5. Modding is one of the best things that can happen to your game. I can never play vanilla Terraria again. In Valheim people are making big rpg mod right now that looks crazy and will pull people back in to play it. But as for Genshin, Hoyo will not give you freedom to do whatever you want, obviously. You can only imagine what it could've been and that's it.

  6. So if the users are generating the new content, why should we be making any in-game purchases which goes to Mihoyo/Hoyoverse instead of the users who are actually spending time to create stuff that's much more fun than the actual game?? It makes no sense

  7. @5:00 Yeah its not. Its so vague rn, but Jello Impact made a clickbait video talking about Endgame is Officially here and there were ppl in his comments talking about I TOLD YOU ENDGAME WAS COMING. EVERYONE IS JUST SO TOXIC.

This really is not endgame confirmation at all. I really hate when ppl lie with their clickbait. Its interesting stuff, but its not "officially endgame"

  8. To me this means that they see Wuwa as a competitor. Remember when they said they won't be adding anything? D*mn GI devs is a 🤡. Don't get me wrong I like the game but the devs? Nah below average

  9. This sounds interesting and it could definitely breathe new life into the game, but we all know what Mihoyo is like. Its probably going to be very limited, like a version of that dungeon making event we got several patches ago, but maybe they add a bit more systems and assets to it.

  10. Lets be real, its gonna be super lame. They wont give you the tools to make anything cool. It will be extremely limited like everything else in Genshin. Probably just gonna be a mix of the coin collecting event and the tea pot mechanics. This is just to distract people.

  11. It will fail because no one will play if there will no rewards and there track record with reward is so bad I don’t think this game can never change it is a wifu simulator period

  12. if I was going to participate this, i would create a mode like pure fiction, where you have waves and waves of monsters so that venti, childe and AOE characters earn their specific place in meta, adding more end-game content with some primos as rewards.
I would create a conquer mode, that would be based on the inazuma civil conflicts where genshin becomes a Samurai Warriors like game — musou game, with co-op and pvp mode.

why not a genshin moba too, like smite, in 3d, bringing some PvP into the game, and you could play with characters you got in the banners. Different maps could be inspired in different regions.

why not a real turn based genshin that would be fun, unlike TCG (sorry TCG players)
and in all of theses modes, all 4 stars would have burst animations, because, why not?
also, every single character would have its own plunge and charged atack, making them actually special, and every charcter could be build as DPS somehow, cause people love characters, so why block them in one function?

I know it sounds like too much, but this way you could sell even more characters because they can work differently in this other game modes, so it would add layers to building and investing in a character, so the company could make more money, more players logging in and spending time, and also, of course, it would have more skins and free skins too, cause everybody loves skins.

  13. Bro, all they have to do is make something like SU or War Zone from PGR, something that resets weekly and gives you small rewards. The worst thing is, they already have the stage of that ready, from Abyss.
Why they have to be so stupidly stubborn?..

  14. Damn is it hard for them to understand that the game needs more Endgame contents and not more Minigame contents?

Also they should implement this user generated contents to refresh those one time clear temple domains.

  15. There is no "they" Hoyo is barely involved in this process they want to see if there is random talent out there that wants to work for free because they have a crush on Barbara in real life. This is not great.
