I truly don’t play the game no more but I started playing Genshin Impact watching you content and even now when I don’t play the game. I watch your content because I enjoy it and like to hear what you have to say about the game.
Mtashed you are only the odd man out because most people like you have already quit loooooooong ago.
Genshin could have made a shit ton more if they had given people something to do once they hit endgame, and maybe given some slightly more challenging combat. You know, just so people actually feel like they get to play the characters they have spent so much on building up. When the game came out pretty much all of my friends played the game, and quite a few of them were spending money on the monthly passes and stuff. You know what made them quit? Lack of meaningful and challenging content once you reached endgame. I am the only one i know off that are still logging in to this game any longer. Not a single of my friends care about this game anymore because they know the developers don't care about them, and that they are never getting endgame. Hoyo chose this. they could have had a much much bigger player base had they just thrown those people a bone early on. The only reason i am still logging in is because i enjoy the exploration and the main storyline. I don't spend money anymore because i know this will always be just a little sidegame, as the developers don't want this to be my main game (Which i would have gladly spent money on.) Its crazy frustrating because this game could have been a 10/10 game, but they choose to be a 7/10 game through pure greed and stupidity.
There’s two categories for Genshin on Google Trends: GI as search terms, and GI as videogame. GI search terms is the one that’s falling over time, GI as videogame is consistently high albeit having ups and downs.
Also, you can add other games to make comparisons. Take ToF and Lost Ark, you’ll find that Genshin is consistently and drastically higher on Google Trends. If you did a Google Trends on Lost Ark, you could tell yourself it’s dying too.
Yes Genshin could use some harder perma content that utilizes your characters, but play around with Google Trends yourself, and you’ll find that this dude is doomposting with misinformation. It’s not dying, it’s still popular.
Genshin is the only game that I managed to play EVERY SINGLE DAY for a year, no online game that have hooked me up this long and I must say that the resin system, welkin and FOMO events has basically tied me to the game to the point that I had to include it in my daily schedule as a decently busy cardiologist resident. Whether people like it or not, the stingyness of the resin system and the scarcity primogem is what make the game actually thrive.
I think genshin impact ruined the YouTube search recommandation, with garbage clickbait channels, pull channels, and leuk channels they all s*ck. And the community has to die in my opinion because they have no valid reason to stick and play this game+theretoxic.
They don't have a story ready. Instead, they are throwing a bunch of fillers at players these days. Like card games, fungus fighting, photo challenges etc. In the middle of the story! there are too many things like world quests, archon quests, this quest, and that quest, that shifts the focus from the main story. you are constantly jumping between regions. You have to focus more on resources and rewards, rather than playing the story. Also, the characters are super hard to get or are very expensive. I think this is what is causing the trouble.
Numbers on google search is not everything. Engagement for a Gacha game only happens on banner drops and patch reveals.
Mihoyo is extremely smart , they know that catering to the casuals is easier than catering to the hardcore players. Introducing Endgame is like opening a whole can of worms. How to make an endgame without making certain characters more via-able than the others , and in the end , creating an even bigger power creep issue. Make the abyss harder , lower end casuals misses out their primogems and thus will make them spend more , thus making the game "more p2w" . Make the abyss having more floors with harder enemies without rewards , "whats the point?" will be asked by many players. In the end , its either power creep or making the endgame redundant. There's not much issue when it comes to casuals , they only login once a day , they only do their dailies and log off , you can splatter them some events every week that can be done all in 1 go during the weekends and they will be satisfied. They would spend when they feel like it.
Mihoyo just didn't want to encounter the same issue they had in Hi3 on Genshin. Gacha and Endgame never ends well. Look at other Gacha game that is much older than Genshin , they all always end up having extreme power creeps , becoming less and less friendly to low spenders and extremely banner reliant.
Think of them releasing a new op weapon in the latest dlc on D2 , but instead of making you grind , you fucking gacha for them , once every 2/3weeks.
Misuse of Google Trends to fit the narrative. There's 3 other search categories for Genshin and he picked the one that's downward trending, if you select it as a video game its still consistently high with its ups and downs over the past 5 years. Comes off as if he finds some way to convince himself the game is dying, it's okay to quit.
I’m probably gonna delete the game I’m so disgusted for spending so much money on this game it’s just boring and I’m not interested in the game anymore well besides the story ill always love Xiao doe
i pay more credits for this game and now this game so boring,no more endgame content fk wow sh*t with billion dollars for marketing and devs confirm no content add+,just 2 floors abyss after two years release.i'm done with this game and deleted this when new game come out(Wuthering and Blue protocol).
I don’t watch people play genshin anymore. There’s nothing to watch, and honestly don’t feel any connection to the creators. I’ve been with you since Destiny and I just wish you could find that perfect game to create content for that makes you happy. You deserve it Tash. I’m done with genshin because I don’t really understand why I’m pulling characters anymore. I just level them up and build them, and then twiddle my thumbs with nothing to do. Dunno why the teapot and now the TCG are getting more love than the actual core game, but that’s what it is.
Of course it's dying. I was playing this game religiously for like 4 months. The last like month or so, I had teams strong enough to beat everything in the game. Then I woke up one morning and went to play and was like…..why? There's no end game content. There's no challenge left. There's not really any exciting multi-player aspect. It's just a money pit. I think I might log on every few months, just to complete any new plot lines, because the story is quite good. But after like maybe a day of unlocking all of it, that'll be it. There won't be any purpose in playing for another few months.
When we are using common sense to view the game as a whole, it's more or less content bankrupted & getting boring. All its left is just doing events, abyss, quests, dailies to get the Gems. It will be hard for those that jump onto the Genshin Ship & whaling for chars to leave/quit the game. Players like us will find it easy to detach from the game. E.g. Selling the account altogether.
It only took me 9 days to stop playing Genshin Impact, today I used 7 thousand gems and nothing good came of it, the game looks great until you realize the high payment barrier.
This has nothing to do with active players. This is just showing how many people use google to search for Genshin impact. It does not say anything about the player count anything and yet people are still misleading this kind of stuff.
The game Genshin Impact is not dying, it is just stagnant. And this is because there is no endgame. And progression literally ends in Liyue. Yeah, AR 45 is when it technically ends but in terms of non artifacts, progression ends at Liyue. All the chests are exp fodder. The statues in other nations don’t actually make your account better. Stamina only increases in the beginning of the game. The prizes for exploring the other nations are just more wishes to expand your roster and cosmetic furniture but it does not actually provide a form of progression.
Genshin characters are very attractive and as someone who quit I can tell you I still follow genshin art/artists and even bought the Mona scale figure because I love her design. So the searches definitely aren’t all people who play.
If you want to try a new game, check out For Your Tranqulity: https://ggcont.me/3hczdCp
Next year Genshin will pass half way point, so it is in fact is entering a ending phase.
In twitch it reached around 200k or maybe 300k live on genshin
Ah yes, mtashed being delusional again
The news about the lack of end game content ruined my hype for genshin

No. You have to be braindead to think Genshin is dying. Nahida was the biggest selling banner, and TCG has injected new life in the game.
We’re the neg fans who like neg content 😂
“Neopets 2” love it.
Maybe mtashed should cosplay as a primogem and visit cons or go on dates, this ought to step up his content
blue protocol
baby
I feel like if Mtashed doesn't enjoy this game anymore he shouldn't stream it. He's just kinda spreading negativity.

Well at this point.. im just waiting for dehya to get released. Then something just snaps, something inside of me!-

ok but Genshin Impact r34 does go crazy though.

great video, tash. unbiased, honest, and adequately analytical. you’re also a no script god haha

I quit when they said they weren’t adding any end game content
lmao compare destiny2 to genshin and fortnite. that make no sense
It will basically stay relevant until Khaenriah. imo tho might not be as popular as back then but will still be mainstream for more years to come.
Is genshin dying?
Short answer: no
Long answer: noooooooooooonono
Oh look another tectone time to press that dont recommend channel button
Google Trends IS extremely misleading. How could Nahida's banner be the highest selling banner if the popularity was going down?

the only thing that's dying is your channel.

I wish it did tbh. It doesnt deserve the hype its getting anymore . It certainly has lost any appeal for me over almost 2 years
It only took me 9 days to stop playing Genshin Impact, today I used 7 thousand gems and nothing good came of it, the game looks great until you realize the high payment barrier.
I’ve come here to type – “this changes everything ….”
its for sure gotten boring idk if its dying or not
Well I don't know about that. I hope the game is dying just for the mental health of the true hc players to be set free.
This has nothing to do with active players. This is just showing how many people use google to search for Genshin impact. It does not say anything about the player count anything and yet people are still misleading this kind of stuff.
How is Genshin a casual game when it's so lore-heavy? The math ain't mathing…
We are odd men out together mtashed
