Personally I think Ganyu is a better pull than Ayaka if you can only pick one. Ganyu can reverse melt better than Ayaka, and freeze is a snorefest.

i think hunters path gains a bit more value when paired with retracing bolide and diona/zhongli. since ganyu naturally requires a shield to avoid interruption, i do think the crit rate is actually decent
This man actuaclly doesnt play with prototype. More and more enemy just dont have a weakspot. It's mean for a bunch enemy it's passive just useless. however 5* bows works everytime.
And it's fucking annoing hits weakspot in freeze team before q.

If you are pulling for 5 star limited waifus, Ganyu is top tier for sure.

my fave team is mono cryo, cuz I like the er and also cuz i used to always have kokomi and xingqiu together in the other team (now not as often but I still like mono cryo). I run ayaka ganyu kazuha diona, and sure it can be trickier to group/position, but ig I got used so it doesn't bother me much. (and I have my own specific rotation that is kind of a quick swap and its so good imo)
I also like using her in some kokomi teams, mostly kokomi ganyu yae venti (and kokomi in on field with 4p clam) and I also tried fridge (almost same team but with dendro character instead of yae, and maybe another anemo–also em kokomi). anyways, ig I like ganyu for how versatile she is, and I personally have more fun using her as support.
I've also used morgana but that was one time cuz I was "memeing" and decided to use morgana one side and ayaka freeze the other (ayaka kazuha kokomi rosaria), but I'm not as much of a fan of morgana–that being said, the team did just fine despite my skill issue and my bad old ganyu build (its better now). So like, morgana is pog lol.
my friend likes playing morgana and they are very good at it, but lately they built a discogoat team (so 4p noblesse ganyu with elegy and burst only) which is ganyu bennett and then the other 2 vary but its like a melt ganyu except its burst only instead of shot only. its surprisingly good (and no im friend isnt a whale, they are an extremely lucky f2p that pulled twice on weapon banner)
ANYWAYs, I prefer ayaka over ganyu, but ganyu is fun on her possibilities.
(that being said, ive played melt ayaka and thats cool too, although a lot trickier)

Just wanted to point out that any archer will auto crit a headshot/ weakpoint hits so ganyu quite literally needs zero crit rate no matter if you play freeze or melt

I love playing her even though some people might find her boring, but for newer players, if you happen to like playing with Sniper/precision weapons in CoD etc; Ganyu will be a great character to have

With regards to your response to the 1st question, while I can see that there are some teams that provide better overall sustained dps, why is ganyu not a top 3 dps as a hyper-carry still?
If so then whom do you consider to be the top 3 hyper-carries in the current game state?
Also another question, in scenarios where freeze works is ganyu freeze/Morgana not one of the best comps still?
Can't believe I actually need to say this, but indeed, when a weapon's passive doesn't work, it isn't as good. Thought it was self evident that prototype isn't as valuable against enemies that don't have weakpoints. If you left an angry comment about it, you might also want to know that :
-Ganyu isn't as good if you miss your charged shots!
-Ganyu isn't as good against cryo slimes!

My Ganyu has been benched forever in favor of unit I find more fun, but always nice in overworld.

I respect your position when you mention Ganyu does not increase account's value too much.
Explained very well, math and theory and all – I am convinced.
However – based on my experience, Ganyu made my ABYSS CONSISTENTLY 36stars when I got her.
I didn't even need to do Ganyu melt. (My best artifacts is with Ganyu)
Thus to be honest, I think Ganyu is still way broken.
No need fancy anything with melt, freeze or swirl.

Ganyu is the character I'm pulling for because I'm a newer player and I don't have a hyper carry or units to do insane DPS right now.
My only other 5 stars are ZL, Mona and a c1 Qiqi.
For DPS I have to depend on a C0 razor who fell off now that I'm doing ar 50+/ lvl 80+ content.

I have ganyu since 1.2 and not use her anymore after 2.4 but I still recommend her for new player who doesn’t have any 5* dps yet. Since she requires less mechanic understanding and blizzard strayer is blessing.

This is good. His not overhyping Ganyu unlike other content creators. I have Ganyu and I use Melt Ganyu in abyss which gives me 36stars. But I agree that she's not a must pull. Genshin have a lot of characters now. But still, if you like her then pull her.
Personally, I pulled her in her 1st banner because she has same jp va with Kanao and Shinubo is jp va Ayaka. Which for me is really cool.

Hear me out burning was nerfed but it is rumoured that dehya is going to be a burning character just like nilou is a bloom one and revert the reaction to it's original glory. Kusanali very likely will be amazing EM and elemental damage buffer. There is also a good possibility that dehya is a sub dps shielder with split scaling (Em/attack) like a mix of xinyan and xiangling especially since we have too many main dps pyro characters and she is literally a bodyguard in the lore. With all that it's very possible that we can get a future meta ganyu melt team with bennet, dehya, kusanali and ganyu that combines the best of all the current ones because you get kazuha level buffs with kusanali (minus the VV shred and grouping but can't win em all), and dehya will at least matches xianglings dps but also you will get an easier pyro application and rotation with burning and you can have a shield to avoid interruptions or even possibly drop bennet for shenhe. In conclusion definitely pull for ganyu because some schizoid is telling you that she will go back in the top of the meta in 6 months based on half empty and somewhat logical speculations.

I played no pull until the first "powercreep unit" because of my experience in other gacha games and for whatever reason that character happened to be ganyu for me on her release. I played melt ganyu and lmao this team is shit so I thought I needed kazuha. And that made it even worse lmao just run xiangling and really the only team you should be running with her is CN Morgana.
She's not a crazy unit, or at least the crazy unit I thought I was getting when I went for her. But like lots of things in the game, she's definitely usable and I think that's really what's kept me in genshin.
