  1. Just a lil correction on the e burst duration thing thing. You dont have to press his e when the eyes show up, if you just press e whenever the cooldown is done then it works just the same πŸ™‚

  2. Cyno is probably one of my least regretted dps that I pulled. He's so satisfying and his damage is actually good though not meta defining. I personally find a quickbloom team the most fun.

  3. You'll only regret him if you build him improperly and play him in a team that doesn't bring out his best potential currently. A lot of people regret pulling him because of all the doomposting surrounding him that compares him with aggravate Keqing. Basically, comparing a quickswap unit, to a sustained dmg dealer, which never ends well. Add to that fact that aggravate Cyno never performs as consistently as aggravate Keqing because of the fact that she can utilize short and powerful buffs such as VV shred, Fischl passive, Kazuha passive elemental dmg bonus, etc.

I've actually done the testings. He does better than Keqing aggravate when you make use of all the buffs Keqing can use in her best teams currently. However, because of what I said before, he falls off due to his long field time.

He's built to take advantage of long buffs, and currently, we don't have much of that. Nahida is his best partner for dendro application, but she can't apply dendro in multi wave content where Cyno shouldn't switch out just yet due to his ER requirements. He has decent scaling and good passives. Once again, the issue is the lack of dendro application similar to Yelan and Xinqiu.

People regret pulling him because most people pulled him out of hype and were left confused afterward. The doomposting got into their heads and they started second-guessing themselves. They start comparing him to the best units and get disappointed, while forgetting that in the process of those comparisons, besides aggravate Keqing and a few other units, meta defining units such as Ayaka and Hu Tao themselves struggle at C0 F2P investment.

  4. I think mega is just ruining Genshin in some ways, it pressures new players to get characters that are β€œmeta” then suddenly it’s not β€œmeta” anymore. I honestly just love cyno for his personality and he has enough power to kill enemies, and that’s the point of this game right? (Opinion)

  5. as someone who was obsessed with Cyno before his release, I absolutely regret wishing for him. Right now, he is one of the worst characters in the game, he's not good at anything he was supposed to do.

  6. Thanks so much, this was very informative! I completed his trial and really liked him in there. Thankfully I decided to research before pouring all my primos into pulling him.

The thing is, the trials feel incredibly misleading. Characters seem so overpowered in there, they just shred everything in their path on their own, no need to swap to teammates, think about rotations, or time anything. I mean, I didn't even realize I needed to hit the eyes (I though they were just a cool effect) and he still destroyed everything in his path. It didn't look or feel like I needed to do anything special to get big damage with him.

Fast forward to your video, I learn that it's pretty much the opposite and you need to plan the team, the rotations, get your timing on point, etc. I'm a new player, I'm still clumsy with my rotations, press the wrong key, dodge straight into attacks, etc. I'd have a HORRIBLE time with Cyno and would most definitely regret pulling for him.

TLDR; The trial mislead me into thinking that Cyno is an easy character to use, the video told me that he really isn't and saved me from spending my primos on disappointment.

  7. I was kind of sad to miss him the first time but I have both Cyno and his weapon and I know in going to be happy with him since I've waited for him since Travail.

  8. Cyno is the only person I knew I wanted his weapon on. (Other than xiao but that didn't go well the last few pjws reruns – sitting here with basically every weapon other than pjws. Very painful)

  10. i got 2 Staff of Scarlet Sands and 1 Beacon of Reed Sea in 3 multis. Is there any polearm char other than Cyno that could benefit from Scarlet Sands? I already used my guarantee for Dehya (didn't know she was so bad and a standard banner char, lesson learned *sniff2*) so I can't count on getting Cyno this banner period.

  12. I don’t care about meta to be honest, at this point I got enough strong characters that carry me through abyss but it gets boring to play with the same characters every time. cyno is definitely good enough for abyss as well. The most import thing to me is that I like him as a character and he looks cool β€πŸ˜‚ also I will get his constellations if I can 🀞🏻

  13. Cyno is a character that I will never regret pulling, my first and last best 5 star. He gonna do big dmg if u build him right with a good team. Ofc this is just my opinion, u can play whichever character that u like!

  15. I just pulled Cyno the other day and while I don't regret pulling him even if I haven't really used him yet, what I regret more is trying to work on him without having Tighnari because even with one of those interactive maps, I'm struggling to find scarabs for him
