I've been playing for less than a year and even I knew that.
That why war hurt everyone.
When u just go out to pick some herbs but got caught up to some adepti fighting then die in the process then they realize u where there so they felt bad and bring u back to life and give you vision but no memories of why u die cuz the cause was a fucking joke

Qiqi actually got her vision as she laid dying (she didn't want to leave everything behind). The adepti felt guilty about such a young child getting killed because of their war and brought her back as a zombie, she forgot everything.
I learn new things every day…
I just wish hoyoverse could make Qiqi and Keqing a story quest so we could find more lore… 😭

I'm pretty sure Xaio and all the Adepti was the cause of her death as well as her revival if I remember. They fought and destroyed her village killing her parents and friends then after they saw the aftermath of the war revived her out of pity and wanting to repent.
I can be wrong though
