  1. I just started a new account so I can play with my friends on the American Server, and decided to rush the archon quests to maybe do the irodori festival lol. It made me realize how cool the story is (and how suddenly we met our sibling)

  2. I mean you haven't played Fortnite I guess, but it's the same if you look at the statistics. Every season it goes up and every chapter it goes up even more

  3. been listening to guilty gear strive's soundtrack since your livestream and damn what did i miss got into the lore this series slaps there are metal and rock references everywhere did you know that Series creator Daisuke Ishiwatari's favorite band is Queen, and he named Sol (real name Frederick Bulsara) after Freddie Mercury, whose nickname was 'Mr. Bad Guy' "sol badguy"(the main charachter)
or that Sol's clothing in Xrd features the phrase "Fight Fire With Fire" which you guessed it metallica

  4. I play genshin since version 1.1. Now, I have 39 characters, with 16 of them being highly invested (lv 90, talent 8-13, and 11 five-star weapons for my favorite characters). I can clear Spyral abyss 36* with ease, but lately, I don't feel the urge to play genshin anymore. Since Ayato banners, I don't care about how many primogems I have. I don't care about the new events. What I want is just new dendro characters and sumeru updates. Once you reach AR59 like me, I bet you'll get bored with genshin. Maybe I should play another game.

  5. I think I have to remind "correlation does not mean causation". Sure sales might be good, but this isn't indicative more players are joining, it could mean more whaling, f2p converting to paying, etc. Compare this to something like gmod where, while playercount has dwindled obviously and checking steamcharts, people are still playing and even content is still being made.

  6. The game doesn't look like it will die any time soon, but I don't see anything that indicates it will be great going forward. miHoYo does not listen to their players and worse yet, they don't appreciate their players. They release a swarth of new characters with messed up kits, then release one or two really good ones and hope that the players forget about the bad ones. They constantly get the players to put in a large amount of effort relative to the measly rewards given. I don't think miHoYo cares about having player churn as long as new players get sucked in to swipe, and nothing will change as long as they keep getting their money.

  7. For me it doesn’t matter as they’ve promised update every 6 weeks most of time. It would only tell if Genshin is rlly dying. Unlike other games updates drop less and gets more longer by months.

  8. Genshin is trash I'm just saying go buy don't Starve together you'll have some fun and u can see some progress, I barely even get surprised with any mechanics that genshin brings cuz they're all just tweaks to some already existing ones the game is barely even challenging u can't even play it even if I want to. The only time u feel the excitement to play is when I get a 5 star like the one you like.
Why do you pay this much money for a game like this ? I really just tried some games on Steam I pay 15 $ 20 30 or even 50 but I get a full game away from gambling and wasting money for content

  9. Genshin is dying. The first chart shows this clearly. There is a reason Hoyoverse is relying on double banners. They are not confident they can recreate sales performance of the first banner. Raiden double banner barely pulled ahead of first raiden banner. It is only going get worse as many players have the character and interest is dropping. If Sumeru characters are a continuation of okay but not necessary, player base will not spend as much and hoyoverse will panic. We are going to see massive powercreep to get more sales.

But as for story the last 3 patches story were soo god damn good.if they don't play genshin for story then they should take break cz it's mainly for story

  11. honestly genshin is not dying but what hoyoverse/mihoyo is doing gets a little repetitive sometimes but what people want are just events features to make co op better and more things to fight but people are just saying genshin is dead because they either quit or their friends influenced them to quit so they got the nerve to call it a dead game to lower others opinion on it, such as myself hearing that its dead and that my friends barely get on it anymore made me consider quitting but i wont do that until i see the end of this story, just like honkai impact besides i want to be strong too so I can help noobies return the favor back to others, also keep up the good content i actually enjoy watching your videos especially that hu tao main video, dont have hu tao myself but i do despise most of the tryhard mains thats all from me

  13. I see so many problem with the latest updates. I almost got interested again with the venti banner, but something that I hated was that the cut scenes are soooooooo long, unnecessarily long so I just stopped caring and gave up.

  14. For a game that hasn't been put for 2 years to make over a billion dollars in profit, can pretty much sit comfortably. I think people are trying to make this game something it's not meant to be, and that's a hard-core grinding game that needs a tough "endgame". This game is meant to be taken like a light novel. There's going to be filler in between major story pieces. Not everything is going to be on the level of an archon quest or dragonspine.

  15. I don't think its dying cuz its cashing in big but personally I'm not even motivated to read dialogue/story after Inazuma. I know people say the second archon quest is better but the writing was so bad for Inzuma's main quests. Even after Enkanomiya and the Chasm released, I don't even care to explore them anymore. I guess what kept my interest in Genshin was the story and characters but they managed to make it boring too. 💀

  16. You can see the downward interest in subReddit statistics as well. Comment and post counts are getting low.
As for the money they are making I can only speculate. But they could be newer players who joined around inazuma. And after about 8 months, they will most likely stop spending money.

  17. I suggest you watch Teyvat story chapter preview. The person we know will be the final boss to save traveler. I wanted to drop this game, but after watching it, said hell nah, I'll play it all the way

  18. The notion that the initial conditions that made Genshin so successful in the first place just cease to exist in a market which lacks prominent competitors all because some players are burnt can't be taken seriously.

  19. I’m an AR 58 player and I don’t think Genshin is “dying” I think a lot of endgame players are burnt out from the grind. Last year during 1.6 the same thing happened to me, I was farming artifacts for Eula and just got extremely burnt out. I had to take a complete Genshin break for the rest of the 1.6 patch until 2.0. Then Inazuma was released and I started prefarming for Yoimiya. My love of the game was reignited. Now the same thing is happening to me with this patch. I prefarmed for Ayato built him with my guaranteed pity. Then won the 50/50 for Venti. I’ve already built him.
I can feel myself getting burnt out of Inazuma, all I care about right now is saving primos for Kazuha because I missed his banner during my last break.
I think a lot of player burnt out comes from Hoyoverse releasing content almost exclusively in one region over a 10 month span. So it just gets stagnant. That’s why 2.3 was the most exciting to me after Inazuma release. It felt so nice to go back to a region I hasn’t explored since the early game and see characters I hadn’t in awhile.
Additionally, new players get burnt out faster than before since they are basically forced to speed run the game to take part in most of the events, which are in Inazuma and require like AR 36 or something. So new players get this burst of amazing content but don’t have time to enjoy it, then they can finally do events and get Inazuma characters. Then new players are stuck waiting for new content like the rest of us, because the game isn’t allowing them time to enjoy the earlier content if they wanna build the featured banner character.

  20. I think those who want it to be dying are those who want mhy to do better. As long as they keep making more money there's really not an incentive to listen to players' feedback and improve. For me, it's not dead, but it's stagnant.

  21. Genshin is dying only for those speed runners and content creators. But for us casuals, there are pretty much a lot of things to do. Genshin is way better than sweat hard games like League of Legends and Valorant, hehehehehe

  22. enjoy a game doesn mean you need to stick on it. if you feel boring, just give up the game for a while and come back when there is a big update. it happens to all the games.

  23. Yes, it is dying. Stop diminishing the problem. Stop putting up the same excuses. Sumeru won't change it. Genshin is not doing anything good. It lacks endgame content, objectives and motivation.
BANNER SALES do not have ANY relation with the STATE OF THE GAME. The revenue does not mean it's alive. You were supposed to be better than this, and you ended up disappointing again, like any other normie youtuber with 0 game knowledge.

  24. The problem about this game is still Staying the same from don't know how many patches. Players want something new and some new mechanics to play, specifically Combat. We grinded so much artifact for different characters to make them work as a team, but what they give us is Taking photo, Planting Flowers, Talking to Raccoon, Talk to Random NPC that we don't give a damn during Story Quest(Not world quest).
What else to feel about this game? Same old shit in every patches, my feeling went downhill from Hardcore > Casually > Bored
