The pet art is definitely not just a filter. Depending on the pictures you submitted it may be drawn over, but that’s most likely to just preserve the proportions and get them as close to the pet as possible. The fur detailing is obviously hand drawn to me personally as a digital artist, you can see the brush strokes especially around Nairi’s eye and Storm’s ears. Even if it was traced over to some regard it’s still work done by someone that would take a fair amount of time and the final product looks really nice, so it’s definitely well worth the price! That’s actually a great rate for commissioned work, which is why it may look a little more corporate than a more expensive piece drawn by an independent artist because it’s focused more on efficiency with your orders than creating something stylized or particularly unique. That’s just my two cents about the pet portraits 🙂
