I'm settling for C1 and giving her R5 Dragons Bane. Any leftover primos will go for Homa.
I went a whole year without a Pyro DPS and I lost the 50/50 on her first banner.
I try to put a DPS in every element and get their ideal weapon as a rerun instead. I know 4 stars can be competitive as a DPS but want a 5 star flex instead.

Jump cancel can also be done at c0.
C1 better
Go for weapon. Getting Homa will be more beneficial to your team versatility wise.
Homa is almost always bis for spear users.
as a pc player who can jump cancel really good I don´t see any need in C1
Personally speaking, if you've used to playing with C0, having a staff is a great boost in dmg.. but if you have already have one 5 star spear (assumed not homa) you'll need C1 THEN try for homa later if you have spare
I already have Staff of Homa so I'm getting her C1. Just hope that I can get her early because I want to have as many primos possible for a 5 star Crit Claymore.

i don't have her, and i'll be going for C1 because i don't have Zhongli and i'm used to play with Ayaka, so always been cancelling the charged with dashes. very helpful video!

Hutao is one of my favorite characters. At first, I whaled on her just for the fact that her JP voice actress was behind Megumin, and the type of personality they gave Hutao. The fact that she ended up being one of the highest potential dps characters in the game was just a cherry on top. I have my Hutao at c3 with a r1 homa, and she's still one of my strongest characters. I would say in order of priority, c1 first, it makes her way more fun and flexible, you won't believe how much it improves her mobility which comes in useful if your lining up charged attacks to hit multiple targets, dodging, or just want a quick dash cancel instead of a jump cancel. If you want to further improve hutao, Homa would be the next spike in damage, but only if you are prepared to invest in the weapon banner… c2 is kind of fun, but definitely not as helpful as having Homa, the DoT's are decent though and can proc vape/melt. I went for c3 so her steroid ability would be even stronger, and for the most part it has been very satisfying. I stopped there because I felt c4 was too conditional and probably unnecessary since the rest of my team is basically supports, c5 wasn't very necessary since I do not ult often to keep her HP low, and c6 was too far away to be worth it considering getting c4&5 would be a waste.
So if you dont have neither who should i go for?

I have C0 hu tao with lithic spear r4 and shimenawas, for homa still don’t have a good crit rate hat, initially I wanted homa, since I tried a lot during first banner and ended up with two wgs, my melt charged stack is about 60k without buff, I have 1.8k with this weapon and 60/220 crit, not sure if stats with homa would change much as lithic adds lot of attack when I pair her team with xingqiu, Zhong and other liyue char
What I am thinking is going for Hu tao because I really like her and I just have Yanfei as my pyro dps and then I'm going to wait almost to the end of her banner before choosing to go for her C1. I'm more interested in the new 4 star weapons than staff of homa so I might give it some pulls but I'm not going crazy over it. After all I'm a welkin only player who has saved up almost 170 wishes but I don't want to spend it all in one day. After Hu tao I'm going to wait for Ganyu and Yae

homa for sure. if you get bored of hutao you can just give it to your zhongli/xiangling/xiao/raiden/rosaria….basically any polearm user lmao, thats how OP homa is

lol none of them. I'll only take archons from now on in Genshin. I already completed the game with the 30 chars I own. I don't need any other chars and I'll only roll for archons just for the lore and that's it. Thanks for the video. I see many are interested in getting every char in Genshin … don't know why … waifu perhaps ?
im confident enough pulling for staff of homa coz i saved enough to get three times pity for weapon
and staff of homa or other 5 star spear will cap out your hp percentage and attack scalling which has been quite strictly limited if using four star weapons

Going for homa ofc, since most of my character were spear users (zhongli, hu tao, rosaria, raiden shogun). But im just hoping to win the 50:50 on weapon banner haha. If i don't wrong there is like 35+- pity in my weapon banner since the beggining of the game, that mean i need atleast 25-30 more wishes :<
So I played c1 Hutao in the new event and have to say C1 Hutao feels so good. No need to worry about stamina. Even tho Homa may give more damage to Hutao or it can be used on other characters too, but if you are a Hutao simp who likes to play her much more than other characters then I will recommend going for C1 Hutao.
