  1. I don't mind the references honestly,i am one of those ppl that truely love easter eggs of any kind in all games which is why i love the Valve games since they pretty much all have inside jokes about eachother i also love Dying Light 1(not 2 cuz that is trash) for the type of game is but also for the huge huge amounts of jokes and references for everything from movie culture to gaming culture to music culture and so on.
Now the question is will the TCG be as good as its hyped to be? i don't think so but we will see,i hope i'm wrong tho, usually i am a pessimistic person so i always hope that everything i think will happen won't happen =)))

  2. China being caught copying/stealing again? What a shock!!! But for real I never played Yu-Gi-Oh, but watched anime and when they started to speak about TCG lore I honestly laughed of how stupidly blatant ripoff it was to Yu-Gi-Oh)))
And no, it's not parody, or reference, since hoyo wants genshin lore to be the main focus of the game.

  3. Last month or so I heard the original creator of Yugioh died on that flood in Japan. He tried to save someone but sadly got swept away by the current. This could be Hoyos ways of immortalizing him through the game. Theirs also an NPC from inazuma who is the creator of TCG in genshin that looks like him. He even met Cyno who is pretty much like Yami Yugi.

  4. speaking of yu gi oh, I really wish I could build a "monster only" (or in this case, monster and characters only) deck and play with that. at arc-V, gong strong did that out of spite I presume and that was so cool and unorthodox, I still can't get over it xD
