Apple’s M4 Chip = PC/PS5 Performance! iPad Pro M4 Genshin Impact FPS Test with iOS FPS Meter!

Alright since many have requested, I decided to test first Genshin Impact here with the iPad Pro M4. As for my FPS measurement tool, I am using Apple’s Metal performance HUD software. I will also be doing a separate video with the iPad Pro M2 to see just how much of a difference we will see in FPS performance. On a quick note, I decided to go an extra step and add screen recording to my testing, thus, further pushing the M4 to its limits! With that being said, make sure to check after testing to see peak temperatures with 20-30 minutes of testing and screen recording.

  1. The thing is… with AAA games coming en masse to the iOS and iPadOS buying a base 256gb would not be enough. I already fear for my M2 pro because of the massive bump in 5.0 update. With the ridiculous price of a 1TB device I might as well just build a Pc instead.

  2. Looks like M4 iPads are future-proofed for Genshin 5.0 and beyond since they will be increasing the graphical quality with the Natlan update. Also was MetalFX enabled during the test? To me it seemed like it wasn't cuz the graphics doesn't look more crisp, if not you should try testing with it enabled to put extra load on the M4. I would suggest an even more extreme but more controlled Genshin test you can try: doing 5 rounds of artifact domains and then just leave it running at the artifact drop screen, since that's somehow one of the most graphically demanding parts of the game (you can see it via the Metal HUD that it fully loads the GPU), just leave it there for awhile and see how long it will take before fps starts dropping lol

Btw I tried to join your discord server but the invite link you have on youtube is invalid or expired

  3. Keep in mind that we are talking almost 1,700p resolution here not the usual 700-750p on phones. So much more powerful chip but also 4x the resolution as well.
