  1. If you think Tower of Fantasy being an MMO makes it a massively different audience from Genshin, you're absolutely wrong. People aren't playing ToF bc it's an MMO. They're playing it bc it's an open world anime styled RPG with co-op. Can you think of another game like that?

"Genshin isn't an MMO you can't compare the two games" Literally the only difference between the two at this point is that ToF has more co-op content. Its not really fair to say they're not comparable under these circumstances. also edit below

HEY ACTUALLY SO Cha0tik DM'D ME, IT'S OFFICIALLY RELEASED IN CHINA FOR A BIT, SO THE BETA RIGHT NOW IS THE COMPLETE VERSION OF THE GAME, JUST BEING LOCALIZED. SORRY FOR THE MISINFO!

Any games you're looking forward to? Let me know! 🙂

huge thanks to Razer for letting me use some of his clips, since they didn't let me into CBT! https://www.twitch.tv/razerninjas

  2. personally i don't think genshin's problem is the lack of "permanent content". we do have permanent content, but it's limited and locked behind a resin wall: domains & bosses, a.k.a farming. if they removed (or reworked) the resin system, i'm sure a lot of people (like me) would feel more inclined to play the game more because there /would/ be things to do, instead of having only or even less than 15 minutes of gameplay a day because after you've used your resin there's literally noooooothing to do anymore. rather than adding more stuff to the game, i wish they would rethink the things that it already has.

    on a side note, i'm very excited for tof! i hope it releases soon ; – ;

  3. I have felt really burn out, i do play the game but only 2-3 days a week, i only play continuously for multiple days when there's a new area or story quest

  4. I've never had a true problem with genshin's endgame content honestly, but that's because I'm a completionist. Getting 100% in every new location, working to claim every achivement, maxing out my Serenitea Pot (that not so much anymore thanks to stupid maintenence), and checking my reputation to make sure every little world quest has been finished is my bread and butter. That being said, this all starts to feel more like a chore each day that passes by, and lately I've been considering dropping Genshin for another game like Honkai for a while. TLDR I'm super excited for Tower of Fantasy not just because of the competition but because it's finally a new game to play that is at least somewhat similar to Genshin. Can't wait for it to come out :3

  5. genshins strong point is its classic vive… and the fact that pretty much every single npc have their own story to tell is amazing… and also the soundtracks are unrivaled… and also i love my raiden so thats another point to genshin

  6. Frankly, as someone who has 100%ed every region: I don't get tired of exploration. It's the best aspect Genshin has to offer. I do wish they would use zones like Enkanomiya and Chasm more AFTER exploration is finished instead of letting them just sit there never giving the player any reason to even teleport back in.

I wholeheartedly agree that Genshin needs more fun permanently available content. 4 tiny commissions 5 minutes of resin dumping and and hour of Abyss every two weeks ain't going to cut it in the long run.

  7. You've missed one huge thing though I feel like there are a lot of people who don't think goes even though tower fantasy is a great game game tension is very much more story driven so far and it's more driven by flushing out the characters rather than game play mechanics and so maybe maybe tower fantasy could help get you and other than competition just by being there when gunshin feels empty and also just to feel more fun like people like to think that it's a clone but it's not

  8. Regardless of how boring genshin is I'm unable to say that it's lacking end game or boring because we're only on region 3 out of 7 SEVEN whole flipping regions each with sub-regions. You really can't forget that genshin is a STORY BASED OPEN WORLD RPG, which means the "end game" is the story and that's released "yearly". See if the whole game came out at once there are players that still complain. the game would have no longevity and how would themed gacha work
My opinion may be flawed as I'm not finished the current story.

Tho I agree they have to rebuild the wishing system since old 5 star are getting scarce they'll need a way to have them in a standard pool, to keep mains of "x" characters alive even when there is 24 new 5 star in banners. Also the state of resin will have to be increased with every region, I want 200-220 by the new one or else it'll be cancerous

  9. True… I'm been playing genshin since the game launched, kind of tired and bored… But too bad, the one who create tof main company or who "support behind" is a joke 😏

  10. I agree with this gentleman, Tower of Fantasy offers a fresh experience in this category which will help us burnt out Genshin Players. Hope Tower of Fantasy goes well and Hoyoverse takes this as a way to improve and offer fresh new content on Genshin Impact

  11. Once this monopoly of the new genre is shaken, competitors will soon come out from left and right. ToF was just the beginning of a bigger true competition. What excites me is the new games we will witness. If Genshin does not improve at all and value their playerbase, their downfall is a tragedy and a satisfaction for me.

  12. This is absolut right. These cries for "more content" is stupid!!! But we do need "more ways of playing"!
I am an AR59 as well and have everything 100% and my 40 characters are almost all build. I am just finished with my 5 Stars…
I have no character below lv 70.
It already seems some workings. A Tons of Bugs appeared and the teapot is giving me creeps…
I See it the same as compition could help… but it is rather late and Lots of games went down Recently due dev teams leaving…
Overwatch for example… they do try to Revive that game by horrible means but its simply dead.
Then games like the 2nd part of time in portia are blocked because of China… i dont know. Of course genshin beeing in China wouldnt be hit that hart… but remember the policies they fight against… (chars like venti/xin are still have to be deleted Acording to chinese)
    Edit as people WILL missunderstand…
I took overwatch and portia as exemples ro Look around the current Situation. China invaded the developers World and demand a lot.
A lot of great upcommimg games got destroyed already. As for Blizzard most people know what i meant with overwatch..
I can throw in sea of thieves as example were TOO much content destroyed the game. And the dev of sot left as well. Now its just a money making lifeless game.
My point is… either too much "content" will come or we end up with a simple money Maschine for China (most likely) and competition alone wont change anything as long stupid whales dictate the way of playing genshin.

  13. Genshin needs better repeatable content. Daily resin, comisions, and abyss simply isnt enough. There was potential with the rogue tower event they had. But they remove everything they add . Suposedly for file size.

  14. You know what i am very excited about ToF too but Hoyoverse might have their own reasons for slow progress to be honest…
    Like…
What if they released all the regions in just one go wouldn't it be end of the game in just a few months?
Maybe they are too greedy but still i haven't found any other game that i can run on my mobile so nicely and get so much value out of it…

It sometimes does feel tiring i am AR55 too but i am knowingly going slowly!
I haven't 100% everything because i know ill just be bored soon so sometimes i just run around to find a Small chest or a big hilichurl camp and Destroy everything.
And that's fun it's nowhere boring.

I am sticking with it and will also play ToF

    And both F2P of course.

  15. Ohh yes, love me some good competition and besides, we as the consumer get to eat good! You don’t like Genshin? Fine go play ToF. You don’t like ToF? Go play Genshin. Competition is always good, look at CoD and FIFA for example, they don’t have a REAL competition so they can just release the same game over and over again.

  16. ToF feels clungy at the start but after around one 1-2 hours the combat and movement become pretty ok and it doesnt feel clungy anymore… at least for me

  17. It's natural for anyone to start the 'nothing to do' once they have all characters, weapons, done every thing up to date in a certain game. So again it's natural for these people to go look for other games to play in the meantime. Tower of Fantasy looked appealing to these people because it is new, and when they have gotten every thing in the game up to date, they will again feel tired of it. It's the natural cycle. You got tired of Genshin Impact and now you are promoting Tower of Fantasy. I'm sure the cycle will repeat once another such new game surfaced.
