  2. I remember watching the coverage of the lockdowns going into full effect in Shanghai on NTD and its shell channels and I realized at that moment "oh fug there's going to be a delay, isn't there?"
    And there was.

  3. Mujin, my guy, be very very skeptical with pages that give you discounted packages for crystals, they have to make money somehow, and these kind of pages have been linked to account hackings, moreover, those crystals are often purchased from different ips, and this could trigger hoyo's anti cheat measures and end with a ban of the user account for suspicious activities…

I get you have to eat and pay rent like every human, but be very, very careful when something seems to be making money out of thin air…

  4. I was so grateful for the 240 days Ayaka banner, I was on my wits end grinding 24/7 and Ayaka on her last week. I was CRYING to my cousin who made me play Genshin because I LOVED Ayaka (She was pretty and everything) and i hit 80 pity and got Jean. I was running out of time when suddenly me and my cousin were loosing our shit because of the 240 day limit banner ("WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT NUMBER LMFAOOO") and got her after a few pulls. Their lockdown saved my misery and now I live with Ayaka as my 1st lim character, with her Fontaine dress, 90 lvl and triple crown girlboss. (My cousin was still crying over Venti cause he wont come home but Ayato did)

  5. I was in this era and pulled for her weapon. Literally, literalllyyyyy i had lost twice with I think the yellow claymore one.. And as I was in 40 pitttyyy guaranteed of her weapon, her banner just disaappeeared… I was full f2p and was just relying on dailies and exploration.. I had quit the game back then but returned a month later lol

  7. So this is what 240 days means. My siblings play GI and they mention this while laughing insanely. When login in to hsr, they drag me down. So no wonder they going into hatred mode. Is this two game develop by hoyoverse or different company? 🤦

  8. I was taken aback when my friend sent a screenshot of the banner to our group chat. It was genuinely worrying, hilarious, and memeable. I mean, we still have an inside joke about this banner to this day.

  9. I started playing on the infamous eternal ayaka banner. I was glad that I started there cause I was able to get Ayaka and mistsplitter, which I really wanted that time. Ayaka carried me from early game to AR 55.

  10. And also the CCP tried to ban effeminate males in games. So if Mihoyo didnt open an international company we would've had muscular Venti and Xingqiu. And characters like Freminet, Lyney, and all those other effeminate males wouldn't exist

  11. I was one of the few people who witnessed the 240-day banner of Ayaka and I was like "WTF?" and showed it to a couple of friends.

I then said "Ayaka is now Yandere. We now officially have a Yandere character in Genshin."

My friends then started making a few jokes and then the next day, it blew up. Memes from the Genshin Impact subreddit and even Facebook pages were filled with "Just Ayaka".

  12. I honestly never liked Ayaka, she was always too goodie two shoes for me. I also never understood that she was such a fan favorite. Yes, she is an extremely strong DPS, but there are other really strong DPSs, and just from a utility point of view, Yelan for example tops Ayaka easily.

  13. Stumbled upon this video and actually didn’t expect someone outside of China would talk about the Shanghai lockdown. I’m a Shanghainese, born and raised there until I’m 19. During the lockdowns I was taking a break from uni and stayed away from family in a separate place, and lets just say I didn’t get to see my family for more than 2 months. During the first 2 weeks, many people in Shanghai, THE most wealthy city in all of China, are starving, City government gave vague announcements, no plans for civilian assistance, district level governments are basically defunct, community government sorta functioned but they have no official budget to get food, shops all closed down anyway so you actually cannot get food at all. When the wealthier families in your city are struggling to get food, you know shits went tits up. Things only mildly got better after 2 weeks or so when communities starts to band closer together and some food suppliers began to operate under government permits. btw, while all this is happening, trucks of food sent by other cities are stopped on the highway, because they’re not allowed in because the government don’t know what to do with them, and they just rot away on the highway. After the lockdown, Shanghai saw a massive exodus of out-of-town workers, they don’t want to stay here and work anymore, because they knew if they do, and shit like this happens again, they wont survive.

Shanghai, the economic beacon of China, was brought to its knees by a pandemic, because the government had no idea what to do, so they just closed down literally everything, with only 1 week of warning following a sudden announcement. I left Shanghai after the lockdown, haven’t been back ever since, and happily so

  14. Honestly it's disgusting how many players who didn't have a single shred of sympathy for the victims of the chinese lockdown. I would gladly watch genshin impact shut down for a whole year if it meant the victims could seek safety. The fact that players were complaining only about a version lasting longer than usual genuinely frightens me
