I dont see any reason why the markers wouldnt be accurate. The speed of which they count down when approaching them in the various movement options look about right regarding speed.
Teyvat has its own rules The day and night has 24 minutes of duration. Maybe the perception of measurements is minor for teyvat where 80 km2 is a travel around our planet and minutes for us is 2 centuries for them.
Remember that the archons got those chess pieces alike things called gnosis, so i think that teyvat can also have its counter parts, like the other side of the chess board with matching gnosis.
I personally like to believe that the in-game world is, like, shrunk for convenience, and in my mind I imagine the countries and cities to be real-life sizes
I had a little challenge with a player that they can use any means of travel, and any of their characters, but they would have to travel from fontaine to inazuma. We have a few other challenges, each with progressively more options. At the end, it was anything goes. The only thing limited was the amount of times to look at the map menu, which was once….
poor person forgot about the waypoints 3000 meters in
I get why they make everything smaller but I wish the cities were bigger. I was expecting Fontaine to be mainly a big city to explore. The city of fontaine feels way too small.
Canonically during the Archon War Zhongli's dominion (From Stone Gate to Mt Tianheng and From the edge of Dragonspine to Jueyun Karst) spanned over hundreds to kilometers. The area of the port south of Liyue Harbor,Chasm,Qiaoling Village and Chenyu Vale werent even part of Liyue so you can imagine how big Teyvat is.
if genshins ingame map was accurate im pretty sure that sumeru desert would be even more of a hell
Wait what? That's not accurate

the areas are extremely small for what can be considered nations… sumeru city takes up about half the area my neighborhood takes up in land cover

Teyvat is just france🥐🇫🇷

Yeah and most of these places have a population of like 50 so

Oh so Teyvat is Fontaine? Just found that out from this video 😱
😮
I'm pretty sure the map is something like 1/100- 1/1000. Scaling with important parts of the Main characters' memories highlighted
Well Teyvat is also flat
