HoYoverse has officially announced all the rerun banners of the upcoming 3.8 update, which will be released on july 5th. As players await their favorite characters to return, many might be curious about how much Primogems they can save in the next patch. However, players must be careful about spending their Primogems and Fates in the next update since the developers are bringing back some of the most popular units in the game, including eula and wanderer. Now, let’s calculate the number of primogems we can get in version 3.8.
Firstly, the version 3.8 update maintenance compensation, players will six hundred primogems for that. Considering that the update will last for 42 days and that players will complete the daily commissions, they can get two thousand five hundred and twenty primogems. The main event of version 3.8, called secret summer paradise, will reward players with one thousand primogems upon completion. Players will also get kaaya’s outfit for free and they will also a free layla.
Since version 3.8 will add a new area, players can obtain upto one thousand primogems from bottleland exploration. Players can also get 10 intertwined fates and 10 acquaint fates from paimons bargain shop, considering the july refresh. You can get five more acquaint fates from free battlepass. Spiral abyss will reset three times during version 3.8, so if you’re able to get the maximum 36 stars, you can get 1800 primogems from there.
If you check in daily on hoyolab app, you can get eighty primogems from there. You will also get 300 primogems from version 4.0 special livestream program. You can also get 60 primogems for completing kaaya’s hangout event. When the banners are up, you can get 80 primogems from test runs of the characters. Players will get upto 120 primogems for different achievements during version 3.8. Hoyoverse will also release 2 web events and a new redeem code, so players can obtain 200 primogems from there too. Now about the small events, players can obtain upto 420 primogems for completing the event called shared sight. The next event is called perilous expedition, and you can obtain 420 primogems from this event too. The next event is called adventurers trials, and you can get 420 primogems from this one as well.
This amounts to a total of 9020 Primogems or roughly 56 pulls, which, unfortunately, is not enough to guarantee even one 5-star item from the banners. Note that these calculations do not include Acquaint and Intertwined Fates.
In addition to the 9000 primogems, you will also get 10 intertwined fates worth 1600 primogems, and 15 acquaint fates worth 2400 primogems. Now if you add these, it results in 13000 primogems for free to play players. Players can get up to 3,780 Primogems and 600 Genesis Crystals over 42 days by buying the Blessings of the Welkin Moon. Unlocking the Battle Pass will also get them additional four Intertwined Fates and another 680 Primogems.
Finally, combining all the previous estimations with the amount earned from buying Welkin Moon and Battle Pass can get a player a total of 18000 Primogems or 113 pulls, including the Standard Wishes. Removing the 15 Acquaint Fates from the calculations will still guarantee a player at least one 5-star character from the upcoming banners.
