I have a question. Since the fates dont carry over to the next banner, does that mean the pity resets as well?

It sucks that the fates don't get carried over to the next banner. This alone makes it a whale-only advantage. If it did, F2P and low spenders probably would try pulling on the weapon banner occasionally. Whales are gonna whale whether or not the fates carry over so I don't get why they decided to make the system only for whales.

If you are a mad lad f2p and you are also a menace to society the new mechanics are pretty pog
It could be better if you lose the 50 50 then next 5 star you can pick between the 2 rate up. Much more incentive for both whales and f2p to pull.
I think if Mihoyo's intention was to encourage more people to roll on the weapon banners, they've still pretty much failed that entirely. f2p and low spenders likely won't be encouraged to spend even more just because of a slightly better system, and if anything it will only keep the whales even considering the weapon banner as a viable option since they can afford it, so I guess at least Mihoyo is keeping the whales satisfied…
Now if only they could do something to make it worthwhile for f2p players…

Yeah no, this is why I just keep getting bp weapons since their passives are fairly good and you gain a lot of crit from them. Until they make the weapon banner it’s own stand alone banner just like the character banners with the only difference being that you can choose which weapon you’d like a higher percentage on, I don’t see a reason to wish on it at all.
My f2p ass who still pull for weapon banner.

As ex-Honkai3 player, im used to keep getting wrong weapons and stigmas. So nothing change for me by jumping from Honkai3 to Genshin.
I summoned on the homa banner and lost 75-25 and got primodial jade and I have a pity of 27 right now of weapon. Does my pity reset with the new change? Also does my guarantee of one of the two featured weapons go away?
Jeez, they really don't have mercy for f2ps…
Throwing tons of new characters at us and now this? I know they have to get money off of something, but come on
If you tell Mihoyo which of the two weapons you want, couldn't they then give you the opposite weapon so you spend more money…? Seems like a trap.
The weapon banner is a scam I get it, but like we need to talk about how goddamn expensive the Jean skin is. Like it cost more than the welkin & BP combined on discount and that's just a 4 star skin like whot?

I was going to roll on weapon banner after i got Ayaka and Yoimiya but booba sword happened and now it no longer matters to me.
I still have nightmare's from my summons on the staff of homa banner
I do admit yeah, its still not f2p friendly at all. I actually did whale for an r5 Homa for Hu Tao and got an r1 Homa for Zhongli. 6 Homas in total. But i did also get 9 wolfs gravestone. And yes, i dont use any claymore units and its not being used at all. Haha. But yeah, me personally as I do and will roll on weapon banners, this is great as you will eventually be guaranteed the weapon of your choice at some point and wont suffer like Tectone or Matt who i did see suffer hard. This change though is still super expensive where its if you always by chance hit hard pity 80 each time (dont wish that on anyone), still more or less $400-500. But regardless, me knowing there is a guaranteed 100% what i want, i will take it even though it does involve spending money still.
So my pity on character banner is allowed to go from 1 to the next but not for the weapon banner? Why? This changes nothing for anyone whos credit card isnt in sync with their game. Like to wish on the weapons i have to skip character wishing and then i have to roll 3 5 stars if i want a guarantee? That sucks but at least the whales can spend less for what they want ig. Wont have to see teccy suffer for a weapon anymore

so its a pity to get the chosen 5* in a max of 240 wishes..not so bad, i got my Jade Cutter after making My Jade spear to R5 . so ppl who only 1 copy of the 5* weapon don need to pull the other weapon 4 or 5 times.

Didn't care. Im using 3 star weapon still could defeat abyss 12-3. 36 star. What so important is artefact and talent also constellation, oh most important between them all is green ping. 😔
It's an improvement but I wish it was instead 3rd pity it would just be 2nd like the character banner😕
If this "path" carries on between future weapon banners i dont mind at all, but still, they're laughing at us

The only real way to fix the weapon banner is to put only one 5* weapon on the banner 🤷
I could "whale" on this game, wish on the weapon banner and still have more than enough money for my day to day life expenses but after reading this dogshit fate system implemented on the weapon banner, I was disgusted and gave me more evidences that I need to not wish on the weapon banner. It would still get you to like do 270 pulls to get the weapon of your choich assuming that luck isnt on your side. So with that, I'll just stick to being a welkin and battlepass player. Honestly, I was so happy for inazuma but then mr. dawei officially announced the fate system. But hey, atleast whales wont experience the tectone phenomena during the 2.0 weapon banner onwards. To be fair, jusy dont expect too much from mihoyo. Ive experience my fair share of mihoyo being a greedy company back in my honkai impact days. But its a gacha game so its a "who cares?" statement from the company.
What would make the weapon banner instantly 10x better is if the fate points accumulated carry over to the future weapon banners.
I am f2p but i pull weapon banner a lot,am i not the true f2p? 7 5 star weapons,1 five star character i just like golden jpgs too much
are you stil garanteed to get a rate up weapon if u get a non rate up for the first 5*?
