Crystallize scales with Character Level and EM stats right now. So, if they made this change without changing anything else, we'll have to build Geo units like Anemo units. This would've been fine but Geo characters usually scale with Defense and Attack, so going the EM route purely for crystallize doesn't sound appealing.

I mean I am sure one day physical and geo will receive a buff – coz sales. BUT when it will be…is what gives me depression, cz i doubt both will get a rework at the same time, meaning even if one gets rework in Fontaine…the other may have to wait till Natlan or even longer.
Geo reaction somewhat already exist in the game. Like in the Chasm's ground effect.

Gorou sort of forced the idea of mono geo, I don’t think geo partnering with other elements is the path forward. I suggest making geo the best shield breaker out of all the elements, or introduce a geo on geo reaction, like a root or shatter reaction.
They can also do some kind of reaction with geo and dendro like fertilized. Like, they can create a lot more reactions.
Geo has no other reaction except the garbage thats called Crystallize. Shatter is no specific Geo reaction, its just an obsolete garbage mechanic that basically just belongs as sub effect to Freeze and should just get changed as integrated effect to Freeze directly dealing dmg, if Freeze ends earlier than its duration would last, by a target being hit critically or with charge attack with with defense ignoring physical damage that scales with EM.
geo in itself just needs a complete rework. Crystallize should become just an geo gameplay integrated mechanic for the Geo Resonance as a side effect, that shoudl scale with a characters defense, not Em in this case by letting Geo Characters that use Charge Attacks, gain temporarely Crystallize as effect, if they were affected by an element, absorbing that element and turning it into a temporary elemental resistance buff by using the Charge Attack., basucally how Geo works in TCG
Then Geo needs to receive its own set of offensive reactions I keep on suggesting, until they fidn their way into the game, because they would make Genshin a significantly more fun to play game and Geo as element in the party a much more useful and meaningful gameplay aspect, that would enable new ways of playing the game, that would be otherwise not possible, if the game wouldnt receive these reactions.
* ADD MAGNETISM (Electro), in order to give Geo a crowd control reaction, that enables to push and pull targets either closer to you, or away from you, based on what you need in your situation.
That would allow to rework also Overload into Explosion and make Explosion, the former Overload then better as AoE Pyro DMG reaction, to make the obsolete Burgeon obsolete enough, that we can get rid of it and rework Dendro's reactions too.
Geo has always been the crowd control element from day one, Magnetism would solidify this role only more, pun intended. And its the most natural thing the game should have as reaction with electricity!!
* ADD MUD (Hydro), in order to give Geo a soft crowd control reaction thats better suited for dealing damage, which slows enemies down and makes them attack slower, leading ove time slowly into a temporal removal of mobility, by turning into a short Petrification, when the mud dries out. Zhongly is currrently with his Q the only character that can cause petrifications, when that should be through the help of dried mud the most natural thing Geo should do as general reaction with hydro. You dont want to be at the place, where a mud avalanche is going down the road, its one of the most devastating natural things that can happen.
* ADD SMOKE (Pyro) in order to add finally a reaction that enables Stealth Gameplay for indirect crowd/aggro control that works also as DPS Buff by enabling party members easier critical hits from attacking surprised targets and more damage from increased critical damage that comes with Stealth from going into a created smokecreen that happens, when you burn earth, sand, dirt n dust. Enemies liek the pyro fatui debt hunter show, that stealth exists in the lore of genshin, so it should be also agameplay aspect to make usage of from our characters by reacting geo with pyro, to become invisible through created smoke that makes it not possible for targets to see us temporarely, which would be extremely useful as reaction for bow characters, that turn with the help of smoke then into real snipers.
* Add FRAGILITY (Cryo), in order to give Geo a Debuff Reaction that helps it as indirect crow control to get rid easier of heavy guarded enemies, making it significantly easier for players to remove and destroy shields and aura effects of targets that shield their real health pools. same should count also for enemies causing fragility to us, so that under fragility our shield effects get easier destroy as a counter balance. Thsi effect is finalyl neccessary in order to make these dead ass annoying enemies that take ages to remove their shields more bearable, if you use a fragility team build against them. And ice is the personified element of fragility, nothing breaks easier, than ice. Shatter basically I think should have been this reaction, but i guess MHY was why ever too scared to make it actually work it that way because then wouldnt these shield enemies annoying enough at the begin of the game, and now …
* Add GROWTH/POISON (Dendro), in order to give Geo a damage over reaction that works similar like burn, but in a reactive way to be punishing movement, thus bedign designed more like what Geos speciality is – crowd control and to crowd control belongs of forms of restricting movement, so also doing damage, for moving, and that is Growth/Poison doing, when poisonous quick growing thorny vines entangle you and start hurting the more you move around …
* Add GEO SWIRL – an absolute no brainer, if genshin ever wants to achieve congruent game design, then mechanics like Geo Swirl, Dendro Swirl and adding finally also Anemo Shields as gameplay mechanics are a MUST , especially now when they add also soon Dendro Shield Characters to the game with Baizhu and Kirara, then theres absolutely no reason at ALL, to say, there may not exist Anemo Shielder Characters too, when nearly all other elements have them. But thats a different topic now. Stop the excuses MHY. JUST FUCKING DOOOOO IT!! period.

And to the people about to say – this would make the game "too complicated" – thats absolute nonsense, nothing would get more complicated, not more at all, than the total amount of reactions you have to consider in combat, than with any other team that has no Geo Character in the group.
Dendro made also not combat more complicated at all, or do you think now all suddenly, that you don#t understand any basic combat design of genshin suddenly more, after MHY added Dendro?
I saw no freaking ass ever complain about the game being now too complicated after they added Dendro.
the same thing will happen, if MHY finally gives geo a real combat design with actual working reactions with all other elements, how it should have been design for the game from begin on and MHY why ever didn, because they either ere too lazy to do so, too scared it woudl be too complicated for some kind of incel players with an IQ of a slice of bread, or they simply weren#t creative enough to come up with some good working ideas – which would be a real shame, if that last assumption should end up being the true reason …
Things in comat with reactions would only start to get more "complicated", if MHY woudl ever decide to implement my suggested Geo reactions AND would increase at the same time also the total party size from 4 Characters to say 5 or 6 characters – only then would the combat really become more complicated, because then would actucally in fact really increase the toal amount of reactions that could happen at the same simultanous time drastically, if more elements come into play.
But as long we stay at a party size of 4, the total amount of reactions that can happen with Geo wouldnt be then the same, as if you play for example a party consistion out of a Pyro, Cryo, Hydro and Electro Character and with that is already everyone absolutely ok with, since day 1 and nobody ever complained about the amount of reactions you have access to in combat with such a party composition. So why should this sudeenly be different, if Geo finally reaceives reactions with other elements? Its nothing but just a made up bad excuse.
As long Geo reaction is picking up crystals…no buff will change how Geo stands. I love Geo as Itto main. But its harsh truth.

It could also mean they will fix the archaic petra set where the wearer doesn't have to be the one to pick up the crystal shield. That would make it on par with viridescent with anemo. Geo definitely needs a buff. I also think we need the geo equivalent of the dendro reduction set.

Id love Nilou version of Geo with EM as mainstat. Btw add buff is just boring tho. What if the shield dealing damage to nearby enemies when pic up pyro. When pick up Electro, normal attack jumps between target. When pick up cyro, the next attack always score crit hit. When pick up hydro, next attack give boring heal 😂 (Hydro is OP anyway)
Honestly I think it would be fine to just give a 20% def buff on resonance as well. Since almost all geo characters scale off of def%. I think this plus maybe releasing a nice character to aloes smth like super crystalise that can explode for aoe geo dmg reactions like how nilou has super bloom. I think that could be a nice way to give geo a quality buff while still maintaining their defensive based pathway they are going for
Geo has always been an inert element. It has the strongest resonance in the game and the highest scalings, the only problem is crystallize. Stupid casuals haven’t even built Geo, you’re literally a walking VV set with Zhongli in Geo team and Itto shits on most overrated dps out there.
Of course i would love if geo has buff. Bcuz i want to send nuke anywhere the enemy i see with my c3 zhongli.

I hope that they change crystallize to either explode or deal reflection damage scaling off of the geo character’s defense. That would at least give crumbs to geo teams.
Also, I DESPERATELY wish hoyoverse would just add a shield hp bar already to the game. It’s been like over 3 years and players have been asking for it the entire time and they still refuse to do it
