It took Genshin four years to give people a single five star. It took HSR until 1.6 to give a free Dr. Ratio… And it only took Kuro Games the first patch of the game to give people not only a guaranteed roll of the player’s choice for a five star, but a voucher to get another of their choice in the mail.
Hoyo could literally never do what Kuro did, especially in Genshin. It’s sickening to see people eat this shit up; it’s like they’re finally given water after being denied their basic human rights for a straight week and developed Stockholm syndrome.
Where all the "stopping to spend money on the game doesn't matters" and "The boycott failed" people now ? 😆

The root cause of Genshin's downfall barely lies within these optimizations in 5.0. Its toxic constellation system and the restrictive gameplay style are two major causes that left a really bad taste in my mouth. Genshin's character design is often divided into constellation system that can significantly change the character's gameplay. Players ended up with a watered-down character at C0, imaging Changli needs RC1 to do double E or even RC3 to charge her forte after using ult. The game feels like it's forcing you to experience it without much freedom. There is still no skip option, no QoL improvement in overworld exploration, no arbitrary talent book access, and the endless spiral of its equipment system. I always feel a sense of relief whenever I see Genshin's optimizations after I quit, these optimizations barely scracth the surface, or can feels sluggish. Sure yea free five star character is cool, but the game has already power creeped the crap out of these characters leaving not much value for them. Lastly, I still hope Genshin can improve on problems that really matters, so their players get to enjoy the game, while I can have more benefit from Wuwa
It would be LIMITED 5 STARS, and the things would be a BIT better. But meh, i seee that reward like something common and meh. I just hope it will be useful for those who havent get Keqing or Mona, BECAUSE MANY haven't get them.

Although, for Genshin veterans players like me, it's a 0/10, Kuro keeps my loyalty now, they have done al ot of things they couldn't in 4 years, I already got many 5s characters, made with quality in less than 2 months.
20 pulls doesn't mean much especially since Arknights is most likely gonna get that for their 2nd R6 collab like they did with the first hell we even get max potential 6*s twice a year 😂
If they were confused and having a hard time, what do we say about wuwa devs who worked their ass off to work overtime and pinpoint most if not all feedback and resolve things? He has it easy considering that people are still willing to whale on their game with that low effort and lack of QoL/rewards/balancing previously. I quit genshin in 2022. QoL in late 2024 is way too late for me to care or comeback.

I had the same reaction and I've been playing shit like Summoners War since 2014, you have no idea how abyssmal that game's devs treat their players vs Hoyoverse. I've played Bamco gacha games that are INSANELY pay2win more than any hoyoverse or Kuro game. I'm happy about the announcements and I'm looking forward to more, and I'll give them the shit they deserve if they fuck up, but this video is just trash vibes all around.

I don't hate genshin impact but I don't like mihoyo company on their rewards for travellers. I know gesnhin is a businesses. But you are right bro, if u think about it, the free standard 5 star selector is not that much. Like the likelihood of getting the one you want in SB is really low, and u probably need to whale to get the one u want.
Im also not a fan of mavuika design, I would rather get Vanessa. But I kinda know that many casuals will more likely get hooked by mavuika design, than gamers like me who take the lore seriously.
