  1. Been playing Genshin for over a year with good f2p luck for sure I agree with your take. The gacha syetem is designed to keep you hooked and this is after several gachas before Genshin…Whn you play for fun over meta you get the best experience and it’s little or no money spent.

  4. I feel like having one c6 event 5 star baits u to get more because if u have one super god tier cha then have a c0 it feels super underwhelming in comparison and makes u want to make that one also c6

  5. Telling the truth about this to many Genshin players in official accounts of twitter or facebook is like telling Honkai players that their numbered lesbian characters and their shipping aren't real and just constructs that a lot of them doesn't even love the players (anymore) in the supposed escapist gacha waifu game, it's going to shatters their delusions then sparks ire in the replies

Idk maybe I'm just still salty that Rita Rossweisse isn''t for Captain in Honkai Impact anymore unlike what she's supposed to be written and portrayed back then a couple years ago, I would wholly forgive them if they bring her OG arse alongside her Genshin lookalike to lovey dovey to Captain again (just like Rosemary Rita) and Aether respectively that would be cool that would be hot that would be epic :DDD

  6. My previous gacha before genshin was summoners war, I that other game I only even sent $10, and just as a "thank you developer", but never felt compel to spend money because you could literally spend thousands of dollars and never get the character you wanted, I saw many Summoners war YouTubers getting seriously screwed on their pulls.

Genshin with the pity is a bit more forgiving, because there are promotional banners and pity system, so you can put a number on how much will it take to get a guarantee character, but I realize that is also the reason I've spent more money, I set a budge to myself, of $60 dollars a year, and never in top-ups, is any only in welkin moons or battle pass.

I had already spent the $60 from last year, and was considering leaving it there really wanted to get Ganyu, could get her the first time, and spend my saved primos on Itto, so since they announced her rerun I bought two battles pass and the maximum allowed blessing, do I already spend my budget for the second year, leaving me at a total of $120, so far, I will not spend anymore this year.

It may seem wasteful to spend $120 on a mobile game, but this is the only game I play, and sometimes COD Modern warfare if I'm bored with genshin, I have many free games on the Epic Launcher, and have other which I got on discount of steam that I've play less than 20 minutes.

I also have an alt account for the other gender traveler, totally F2P, and have gotten many 5 stars and good 4 stars, you don't need to spend money to enjoy this game, a little spending with the welkin a battlepass can help to get more characters, which is not a must, but it's nice to have.

  7. Genshin is my first Gacha and only thing that game made me realize is that rather than spending money on a game like this, I can stay F2P and buy different games, after seeing how much other people spend for new character, 70 bucks isnt that much

  8. Honestly I'm just glad that the bigger companies haven't tried gacha on console when it comes to characters. I hate loot boxes but I would hate this even more. Oh wait Madden exists…

  9. Genshin is probably my first gacha game (don’t know if bleach brave souls is a gacha) but even then I have control. I did spend on it but that was not out of my own pocket, my friend bought it for me as a joke birthday gift (it was my 18th. I did the same for him) because I wasn’t playing at the time. That was the 6k ones which is £88 so I also bought Jean skin with it. I’ll probably just get welkin, bp not so much anymore because I don’t use Childe or Itto anymore. (Childe because farming for his artifacts is making me grey, itto because I’m too lazy to get him to 90. He’s 50 rn.) But I can see how people fall into that trap of spending 500 or more

  10. I think Genshin is 1 of the better gacha games due there is no pvp in it. If you play a gacha game with pvp in it and you miss out on the unit you might get screwed for a bit.

  11. I agree! And it should be stated more often so people don't forget the harm gacha can do.
But also, Genshin is much more than "just a Gacha", it has a rich story and some very good gameplay elements other than the gambling parts of it.

    Anyway, good video!

  12. I used to hate when u said the game was easy and i kept thinking of i had 5 stars and constellations then it would be but that’s just another way i could get caught into the addiction… i’m not a spender and it was dumb of me to compare my units with yours that have like 60% higher damage potential with 40 to 50 CV per artifact, best in slot weapons and C6 everything.

  13. Very good points. Gacha games are extremely predatory and are no different than games with microtransactions. Have you heard of the recently released Chocobo GP? It's a full priced racing game with predatory microtransactions. Like the minute you start it and make it to the main menu screen, again, the Main. Menu. Screen! You're immediately blasted with being encouraged to buy their season pass for a game that was already bought by you. It's ridiculous how this new generation of gaming and monetization is. I will give credit to Mihoyoverse for one thing about their very predatory banners…they don't ever slap you in the face with it as you're playing the game like ever. They want you to have fun while knowing that you don't have to pull for the banners, but they're still there and the primogems you earn from dailies and events are all they need you to have to catch the ones with gambling addictions into their trap.

  14. Nice you made this video and doing it from time to time is a great idea. I was a lucky one bc I like spending money on games, thankfully my first game turned to pfw completely all the people that I played with quit, so I quit too. Second game, lured me with a skin (99,00USD), bc it was just perfect and I would still spend if they didn't cut it from a platform I was using. So I stopped playing. Than genshin came and I was spending and like before I would still spend, bc I like getting what I want, like I'm not really using Klee that much now but I'm still happy I have her, glad I fell in love with one of characters who are not obtainable through banners so I got so pissed I stopped spending on a game bc why would I spend money if I can't have my favorite character? expect for this 4-5USD each month? I don't count it, so yeah but for all others who might someday get addicted or are it's nice to explain how it works, hope it helps someone.

  15. This is what people don't understand about gacha games. They say it's not an excuse but it's the pay model of the game. And than they blame the developer for spending to much.
Know what you get your self into if you play a game with a gacha system.

  16. I put in money so I could get kokomi and raiden (lost both last time) and leveled them both up, and although I'm sure I'll enjoy them in the future I objectively didn't need them. the spiral abyss isn't easier now that I have them. I have fully invested characters I'm not using. And considering day-to-day I didn't NEED them like I thought when I didn't have them. They are fun and cool but not worth money.

  17. Genshin is my first gacha game but I'm already a low spender with my other mmorpgs. As a low spender, I'm in BP/Welkin and the only time I bought a Genesis Crystals was way back Hu Tao's first banner because I lost 50/50 to Mona. She's my first ever 5* I go for and I never regret it. However, wishing for Homa was such a pain to me because back then there's no fate system. I have to stop whaling because there's no guarantee. I managed to get it in her rerun. But I swear to myself that's the last time I'm buying the crystals.

  18. I mean personally i try my best to save up as much primogems for free. I only buy the battle pass and welkin moon to help with that. i got about 7k primogems right now which is like 100$. So if i keep saving i can get ayato. especially since i have guaranteed pity. But yea the price is Whats ridiculous. Its absurd that only one ten pull is 30$. but im a no-life so i can complete events in like a couple days and get all the primogems. Especially since there so easy. also i use codes and stuff to get even more primogems.

  19. I find that it’s helpful if you set clear limits for yourself and you treat genshin as a side game. After getting two strong teams for the abyss I now go through long periods without pulling to the point now that I have 280 intertwined fates. One thing for sure is that YOU DO NOT NEED every new character that comes out.
