  1. Now hear me out, i dont mind innibitor lunae to be strong, dont get me wrong of course he is way too op but since the release of th game until blade the only reliable and truly broken dps we got was seele so having like 3 strong dps banners in row although it is a bit unbalanced it helps both the people who didnt got selee or are bored of her, by introducing characters who do as much or more than her with diferent playstiles and character comps makes the game feel more fresh without any damage loss because even if maximise dps is not what you are looking at you can't tell me seeing a big ass number after an attack doesn't scratch one part of your head you didn't knew it existed, plus with the swarm dissaster level 4 and 5 being considerably hard innibitor doesn't mean that it can be easily done anyways as you need a strong team too annyways, in the end innibitor right know is just like selee at the start of the game, stronger than other options but not a complete must, and of course i dont see a problem with choosing a character because is "meta", i can enjoy a character because design, gameplay, power, story all at the same time I dont have to choose 1 specific, and as i said my monkey brain loves seeing BIG numbers as a result of the effort I have putted in my team and characters, it always makes me smille.

I just wanted to give my opinion and thanks for reading.

  2. genshin lore and world building are very good but scattered everywhere like in books, artifacts and world quests. the best way to understand it for me is thru lore videos

  3. I don't have time to watch this as of now, but i gotta say, that honkai impact also had 9 whole very slow and boring chapters as a starter and ho boi did it kick off after that. Let's judge the story of an online game that releases chapters progressively in maybe a year or two of it running?

  4. both games are doing fine, i want genshin to do more with abyss and events though. The story is great, it feels slow in patch updates but finding your sister in a whole new world can be pretty time consuming, its a "enjoy the journey" type of game because time and time again the push the friends we make along the way as our strength. HSR, log in and do relics and farming. Get off. Genshin, get on, coms, relics, farming, maybe exploration, get off. Cut from the same cloth really one is just smaller in scale, which i think consequently makes HSR easier to implement with meaningful updates. Just my opinion though

  5. I hope they don't cut off the main story like they did in 1.2 just to say we have a main story in 1.3 that felt really bad and made me enjoy it less than if it would have been a full story
And about the meaningless long dialog that is the brand for hoyovers games and how to describe them to someone is to say long hours of dialog and a few minutes cutscenes payoff and then the next destination

  6. As much as I think Xianzhou quest is mid, HSR overall still has better pacing and story than Genshin at 1.0 update line.

Not to mention that the Belebog quest is all about Killing Bronya's mother Cocolia being the best gacha game storyline that I agree is more objectively true than whoever wrote this article about Genshin's story being longer and interesting than HSR. Facts💯

  7. In terms of pacing I think I actually would have preferred less Luofu story in 1.0 and for that to have been pushed to 1.2 because the 1.2 Dan Hung reveal was too abrupt and rushed. I feel like a longer lead up in 1.2 would have allowed them to to flesh out Dan Hung’s journey with more meaningful content and potentially let us get to know Tingyun better before her end.

I was disappointed in the amount of content in 1.2 because it seems rushed. But I was totally fine with 1.3 having only the Tingyun farewell story in it because I thought that was really good and it deserved to stand on it’s own rather than be tacked on to the end of 1.2.

At the end of 1.2 I really wanted a Tingyun farewell story and 1.3 delivered that. In general it’s not bad for an update to leave you wanting more as long as the next update delivers. I think that 1.2 may have suffered in my mind due to being the story update come after 1.0 which had so much in it. I felt that we had half the Luofu story still to go and so what we got felt like an abrupt sprint to the finish line after the amount we got in 1.0.

I get the criticism of the Star Rail world seeming like it’s standing still because you leave Belebog having dealt with the stellaron but nothing changes. It’s understandable to have that because stories don’t wrap up neatly and there are lingering consequences and from a game perspective you have to keep the areas populated with bad guys for the player to kill. But I hope there will be story or events where we get to go back to, say, the back alley area in Belabog, clear it out and purge the fragmentum so it’s usable again even if they have to open a new area of the snow plains to put the monsters at the same time so the player can still go there to kill them. That way instead of just doing the Belebog story and then everything remains the same, like it never really mattered, you’d have some evidence of the fragmentum actually being pushed back and your actions in the story actually improving Belebog for the better.

  8. (Slight spoiler from the beginning of 3.0)

I think TecTone didn't play until the part where the protagonist finds her brother… The objective of "finding her brother" was complete, although you received information vaguely in this encounter, now we have the objective of knowing what exactly happened in the "Archon War" and about the Cataclysm (About Khaenri'ah)…

Complicated… I already gave a small spoiler but anything more would be too much.

The plot is progressing, despite the fact that the entire 2.0 has passed without any progress in it… The main plot is giving a good feeling of exploring these new countries and learning more about the place and the characters, trying to understand everything that happened.

I think it's good for the adventure and exploration style of the game.

  9. meanwhile in teyvat we are still finding new regions…..

and we still know ten times more about the trailblazer than Lumine and Aether….Genshin is on 4.0 and we still have no MC development…just fluff, paimon being gluttoneous , and fanbase still defending fictional characters as if they are real people

  10. This discussion is simply unnecessary and useless, these are 2 different games with different types of players with different expectations. One is very chilled and relaxing, boring but suits most casual players (Genshin) the other is very time consuming since everything, fighting mostly, takes ages to do and that’s why most players use auto play. History wise they just as good. No point having this argument since each game suits different types of players.

  11. Genshin's story is way better than HSR, try to find any excuse to deny it, deep inside you know it's truth.
If you think this is about finding our brother and that's it you didn't get the plot at all

  12. Tectone saying that twin plot not being moved forward since 1.0 is best case of him showing his ignorance towards genshin. Twin plot has been constantly moved forward in chasm , caribert , aranara quest , pari quest but i guess you have to pay attention to the story to understand this instead of coming back to genshin for 2 days to farm initial hype and then never come back , calling it " doing what you wanted to do " and continuing to shittalk genshin at every opportunity

  13. I really like you Teccy, but I believe I found a big inconsistency and bias in what you are saying. I believe I remember 2 years ago you saying that you want more things you can do in genshin and events being too quick, so you can only hop in for a little and have nothing else you can do since your resin is used you, events are done and you want to play the game more. Then on 13:10 you say the game is just respecting your time and that it's good.

So there are 3 possibilities here: either you are biased and display facts to match the narrative, I took it somewhat out of context or you just accepted these games for what they are and see that as positive now.

edit: 22:30 somewhow addressed the entire comment. It seems to be mostly the possibility 3

  14. I will never understand how some people are actually begging genshin to waste their time with pointless dialogue. Like bro, do you have no self respect?
And why tf are they complaining about an actually good Story, just because its a bit shorter? wtf is going on with these people?

"Please waste 10 hours of my time daddy hoyoverse UwU!!!!!"
    so cringe dude

  15. Funny thing is that even witg HSR's story I still think that FGO's story from camelot onwards is probably the best damn experience I've had with a game's story with lostbelt 6 being peak for me in any gacha game (which also explains the revenue for the lostbelt 6 themed summer event in the jp server)

  16. I like genshin more than hsr in the story and music like genshin doesnt have an end game content but i will still like genshin than hsr genshin is becoming better in qol like in 4.1 the dailys are becoming like hsr ones and if will have an end game content like SU genshin will be fun more than hsr

  17. the article or whatever pointed out some fair points, but it comparing it to genshin completely invalidated everything XD. I havent done 1.3 story quest cause took a break from game and the new SU gameplay looked interesting enough for me to check out, but ive played genshin long enough to understand what's happening. HSR respecting ur time is the single biggest reason it will always edge over genshin for me. I would much rather a short 1hr quest that was good then 8hrs of a quest where i kid u not im like zoned out the entire time so if u ask me what i just did, i deadass wont know. and this is coming from a gamer who loves to grind and put in long hours. even endgame speaking, with this new SU event ur more incentivised to build characters better, thus the time invested in building has a much better payoff then with genshin's overkill spiral abyss.
