  1. New Honkai probably for new audiences that too lazy to playing catch up in Genshin. Good thing my 2nd account are just for chilling and not trying to max out the newest characters ASAP.

  2. unfortunately it ultimately is subjective. as for exploration in genshin I don't rlly like it. probably a hot take but you'll be surprised by how many people feel the same way too. and as for the side content including quests that's not my cup of tea either.
the biggest issue with genshin endgame is lacking concrete goals. there's nothing to really work forward/look forward to except the next event. at least with honkai it'll inherently be more of a casual game and as such you'll know what to expect, instead of a game like genshin where you're forced to do hours, or even days worth of side quests just to unlock an area. ironic how it's supposed to be more of a casual game

  3. turn based. Yikes šŸ˜¬. Also the character moving gfx is not smooth as genshin. Genshin is like a pc based game you can play on phone where star rail is like a mobile based game you can play on pc. At least it lets me pre-register on my phone unlike genshin šŸ˜

  4. Yup, this game will be very much ā€œresinā€ dependent, thatā€™s why they are increasing the cap to 180 and regeneration rate is also faster.
I liked Genshinā€™s exploration, but I do like turn based games. Auto battles may make grinding for material faster in the endgame, but this will again be a casual game that you do your dailies, spend resin and log out, and I donā€™t mind that because there are so many new great games to try.

  5. It's gonna be niche game and that's ok. I love playing cbt, they making good decisions for turn based gacha. I'm comparing it to Final Fantasy, Persona and FGO (as a turn based gacha game) and i like what I'm seeing.

  6. according to how long to beat at the moment Genshin to fully complete required around 533h and just completing main stuff about 200h+ depending on how u play it can be shorter or longer but if u watch all the cutscenes and etc i would say its about right … and the game is growing if u want a game with a lot of content and a lot of hours to sink into i would say Genshin is a good choice … tho it has Gacha and thats whats off putting for most because a lot of ppl heard word Gacha and a game they instantly think ah … waste of money šŸ˜€

  7. what's with all the anti-honkai vids, is it because he's bored with bitching about genshin, so he's moaning about an unreleased turn based gacha game. correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he used to praise epic seven and raid shadow legends? and those are turn based games as well.

  8. Well, brilliant deduction, Mr. Sherlock. Of course the focus of a turn-based game wouldn't be focused on open world exploration like a ARPG would. This is like saying don't play Persona for open world exploration…..you're trying way too hard to make this conversation way deeper than what it is. But views are views, i guess. Also, same thing if you were referring to the original Honkai…..of course a stage-based battler isn't the same as an open world game, the scope is completely different

  9. Is it weird if I say that I want to read all the dialogue and skip all the combat?šŸ˜„ But If I want to skip all the combats, what's the point of pulling a character? ā˜¹
