It's a way to recuperate the spent primos you wasted on characters you don't use anymore.
"my teams are sh¡t" my brother in Christ, you chose the characters
you chose about 6 DPS and instead of choosing more supports
this is just a miss for me
I'm an f2p
i finished this in like what an hour maybe less
it's so boring it's not fun at all it felt like I'm playing floor 9 and 10 of the abyss over and over again using characters that i don't like or that don't have any synergy together
it's so easy that i finished the hardest one using a full dps team which doesn't make sense and isn't fun at all
another thing is the characters that they give have such bad builds where it feels frustrating
like they made it harder by giving you a shitty build which kills the whole purpose of building and improving characters
and why the heck can't you build your characters that you wanna use inside the mode like why do i have to leave to give them artifacts and weapons
the whole combat system is about elemental reactions and synergy between characters so why make a game mood that kills that concept
and wtf new players will suffer from this mood cuz it doesn't have anything to do with skills it's you either have the characters or you can't play and the worst thing is how the heck people are supposed to build 7 characters every cycle when there is no resin to do that
mora
books
talents materials
bosses
weekly bosses
weapon materials
and artifacts which is completely random and it might take you months to build a single character
all these things need resin that the game doesn't offer
it will take you like 4 days to get boss materials only and for one character
and all this to play a game mood that isn't even fun nor give any new experience to the game
imagine waiting for 3 years for this
what a disappointment
hardest part was trying to use the Wanderer (I don't like him and he hits like a wet paper towel)
other than that, I didnt have many "well build" characters, so some things were a bit more challenging.
I love your vids but i’d never seen an unedited vod of your stream chat, feels like a nightmare job to read all those ppl whining non stop ngl, respect.
Honestly, I think Bran got lucky with getting the eaiser battle challenges he did between the bosses. THOSE can be the real pain on the ass. I tried doing the ice abyss mage and Lector one and had to use my rewind to choose an easier one. I wanna see Bran actively figure out and challenge the hardest battle challenges and see what he thinks then.
I think the character restrictions are right where they should be. The roguelike aspect is extremely lackluster, though. The boons are not impactful enough to give you a variety of builds to where it's fun to try new stuff, so if you're in a situation where you have to redo a run, it feels like a chore… This goes directly against the idea of roguelikes.
I remember they had an event with boons that actually changed how a character works. That's what's needed here. Start by making it fun to replay even without rewards, then balance everything else around that. Up the difficulty so some strategic building is needed, add level up materials for rewards so players get something for playing the mode multiple times… It's the kind of genre where RNG imbalance is expected, as long as it's fun chaos!
This comment section is a breath of fresh air.
The idea is great but I don't like the element restriction. Abyss has its element checks but it lets you have alternate options assuming you don't have units for a certain element or don't like it (e.g. 4.7 abyss fire shields, hydro is not the only option to break them)
In Theater, you are hard-locked to whatever element there is. Let's say it's Geo. If you don't like Geo, you are forced to waste resources on units you don't enjoy.
If you DO like Geo but have shit gacha rng, you might not have enough units to participate in Hard mode. And the current banners don't complement Theater restriction unlike with Abyss. Right now it's Anemo/Pyro/Electro but the banners are Hydro 5-stars and 1 Pyro 4-star rate up
I think a good fix is to either change the element restriction to element buff instead OR you lessen the amount of characters needed to enter a mode and add 1 more vigor point so you can use a unit up to 3x or 4x (so people can't steamroll with just 1 or 2 units)
I cannot believe people are upset that
1. The mode is somewhat hard
2. This game would DARE create content that requires you to have leveled a good amount of characters from each element
Yeah, it’s for end game accounts. And I’m sorry, but you SHOULD HAVE been building more than 15-20 characters over the course of a 3 year AR 60 account. What the hell else is there to even do in this game? Level characters just for the hell of it. I assumed everyone was doing that already. Blows my mind some people have 40+ characters on their account, but only 12 or so leveled for abyss clears and that’s it.
Man, genshin's main subreddit is going through it, it's casual central over there and they don't seem to understand what end game means, downvoting everyone trying to explain it to them or showing any kind of positive comments about IT.
And before anyone says "it's reddit being reddit, who cares", it's casuals who are complaining about IT being restrictive, you know, the group that makes up the majority of Genshin's playerbase. Are you willing to guarantee Hoyo isn't gonna try and modify IT to THEIR feedback, ruining it for people who enjoy the current state of it?
In other games: just get gud.
In Genshin Impact: play the game.
What’s ppls problem with this it’s end game and incentivize players to build more units. You have to think a bit more unless ur a whale. I honestly think it’s very fun
It’s fine IMO, feels really lacking compared to Simulated Universe though.
this game mode rewarded my "pointless" building of "non meta" units. i love building a lot of ez to build characters like thoma faruzan etc. the mode is piss easy sure but its fun. games been out for a long time and ive been building a variety of characters for fun cuz apparently according to the devs before, they wont be adding combat stuff cuz of anxiety lmaoo but hey we got this gamemode.
my only gripe with this and a huge one at that is that it replaced/adjusted to the abyss cycle instead of directly adding a new mode that we can play with. i wish they left the abyss cycle alone so we can actually get more gameplay sadge
I'm here because of the thumbnail
It wasn't easy for me but I still enjoyed the struggle. I also like the rng elements, it adds some spice! It also made me level up and build my chevrause and keqing and it was cool learning their kits. I also love thoma so getting to play him in this was great for me hehe
I do prefer this mode over Spiral, but still, whoever says this isn't a dps check is just wrong. It's still a dps check.
Personally, I liked it even though I can't complete the stars in Hard mode. It's very fun for me
How many times can you rename Wanderer?
Lol I got an ad with Bran in it while clicking a BranOnline video.
10:00 foreshadowing ?
Though I did enjoy playing the imaginarium theatre, it is hard for people who do not have maxed out characters like you. Also hard for people who have less characters in their account. Most of my own character levels are 50-60 and I have been playing Genshin for the past four months. I could barely get past act 5 with just kazuha, arrlechino, xianling, Xinque, Kaeqing and Baizhu at level 80 while rest of my characters are below 60. Also with the exception of just two, all my characters use 4 star artifacts and weapons.
you should watch genshin impact cyberpunk part 2 and 3
but i don't know if you have
but if not there out and you should watch them
New developers note released and most of players hate imaginarium theater lol
AHHHH, Homelander on thumbnail. Get that evil Superman wannabe away.
Just kidding. But seriously, I'm glad to see you are experimenting on this new mode.
I love Bran's content, but ngl his opinions are scewed on this (same with most other streamers).
If you're a whale of course all the content will be way easier, no matter if it's endgame or not. Majority don't have several C6 characters or every single 5 star in the game.
For a regular player it does feel more like an end game mode cause youhave more limited resources and you have to grind your ass off to build enough characters.
So the difference in the modes, beside the number of acts, the level of enemies are different too.
the problem is that character building in genshin is hard. im ar58, playing since the endless ayaka banner.
when weapon and talent domains are scheduled like that , resin is sparse and you barely get any, how are you expected to build enough characters.
i saw another comment saying this is an end game for whales and yeah i think thats partially true. It was fun, ive only played it once i think but it is hard
No wonder Hermione keeps going into the Restricted Section.
Why fandom mad over this they added what they want lol?
you are kinda fucked if your main invested character elements are not on the element lists. Like, if your invested character is a geo ,hydro, cryo, dendro elements. Youre fucked cuz you're not getting them. Sure you can use the assist characters from your friends. But you only get to choose one. But the companion summon are randomize. So you're highly likely to get the characters you down own. Characters that dont synergize on whats left on your team. Characters that you specifically didn't pull cuz u don't enjoy their play styles.
I enjoyed the gamemode. Atleast got to act 6. But damn its annoying getting the characters you down own
The only issue is having a lot of built characters and it comes down to artifact farming is god awful. A lot of games like this where you rely on that games version of artifacts primarily and nothing else. It’s all RNG
im f2p playing since 1.3 and out of 40 something 5 stars, i have around 15 (because i lose 5050s a lot) but because of that i built almost all my characters and was able to complete hard mode pretty much in a almost smooth run. I had to think more of the teams and combinations so it was a fun experience and the art and theme is wonderful! No need to be a whale but a really heavy invester in your characters to play lots of weird teams lol
