Absolutely awful take. The game is still at the top of the sales charts and doing just fine. Some people just can't fathom that there's a rhythm to the updates and not every single update can be an expansion of the gameworld
For god's sake…Genshin is not dying💀 It "Only made 30 Million in revenue" only china btw not global , because chiori Got released in such a bad time,with Neuvillette and Kazuha+Arlecchino coming up. And it still somehow did good,If you look at the actual ups and downs graph this is not even the lowest point of genshin,it literally has been the same way ever since day one,thats how it works💀 its so stupid to claim the game is dying when its perfectly fine,and am not that guy who "defends genshin for no reason" i only do so because yall are talking about stuff that is not true at all. Hard proof of that is a Youtuber named :@stioorg video:"Does Genshin Impact really need to change?" He goes deep into the topic and as you can see if you have watched it the game is only growing and making more money each day ,besides do not forget Genshin is not their only game making money for them…Genshin is perfectly fine and thease patches with "low" revenue have always been a thing since day one,i have no fricking idea why some of you see this for the first time in 3 years💀Anyways check out his vid,its actually really informative and interesting,and let's stop pretending Genshin is "Dying" no game can actually die unless they pull yhe plug…just because it made a little less doasen't mean anything,its the same way in life,we acting as if 30+ million dollars is nothing,like bro you got more then??They do it on purpose..
If Genshin wants to stay relevant and in people’s good graces in the long term, they HAVE to improve.
Arlecchino will certainly help, but what are they gonna do before Natlan? If this is their pattern, it’s not exactly sustainable.
A friend and I were actually talking about Genshin during a livestream. She doesn’t play HSR or Genshin because of all the grind needed in both games. She’s gotten burnt out. She might come back for Arlecchino, but will likely go back on hiatus until Natlan. As she said, the rewards aren’t worth the effort.
I see people saying "Arlecchino will bring Genshin on top again", and I sure hope so. If she doesn't, Genshin is basically dead. Not that it is alive rn, don't get me wrong.
For me, a game that doesn't receive good updates and support from its devs is already a dead game.
What an L take just because the Genshin is no longer on top of the charts doesn't mean it is already dying and it doesn't even need saving. Of course 4.5 was a boring patch but that was intentional, you all always expect every patch to be a significant large update like bruh do you even know how long it takes to develop a game? I also play HSR I like version 2.0 but bruh 2.1 is a boring patch (though not as boring as genshin 4.5) story wise too much yap no actual gameplay the only good thing 2.1 have was releasing Acheron but is the game dying for me of course not. If game is still making significant numbers and that a lot of people are still actively playing then game is not dying let's stop all this bs. When an actual good competitor to Genshin comes out that will actually make players switch games and stop spending on the game is the only day I will ever believe Genshin is dying.
I don’t think she’s gonna save it. As much as Arlecchino is cool and I’ll come back for her and her weapon. Hopefully If 50-50 is on my side. Regardless, If it’s only her story quest, her banner and weapon, new area to fill in the ditto looking space. Some world quests with no voiced dialogue. That’s not gonna save Genshin. And with Wuthering Waves coming out soon. If hoyo don’t improve the game soon with QoL changes that are meaningful. The game probably will have no chance to come back even after Natlan. Give 4.6 the first few days and the games dead again. Until the summer update. Unless we get a Dainslief quest related to Khaenri’ah. Which if rumours are to be believed, isn’t happening next update. Next update seems to be Arlecchino focused. 4.7 might be the Dain quest.
And from the rumours I’ve been hearing from other people that allegedly have seen her kit. It’s gone through too many changes, that it makes it look like Hoyo doesn’t know what to do with her kit. Like from what I heard the way she works is so unique no other character has this unique ability in her kit. And I think the balancing is what’s causing the confusion. Because they improved some things. But NERFED some areas that are a bit confusing just given how she works. Allegedly there have been a few updates/variations of her kit. So I don’t know if they plan to combine all of them by choosing which ones work to give her the boost she needs to be powerful even with F2P accounts. While also making sure she’s balanced. It looks like she might be an F2P friendly character that just needs her C1 because C0 allegedly has no interruption protection until after getting C1.
Generally all I’ve heard is she’s interesting. But she’s also a complex character that will be a bit confusing to play until we get more characters like her in Natlan.
Idk man, this list have games with over 10 years of active servers. For sure the game will not die anytime soon, but a reduction of revenue is already happening. We also have to see the datas AFTER competitors releases, which will lead to a change of support by HYV (or not really).

You can't deny the game is stale AF. One character isn't going to matter when they refuse to give us anything more to do besides petting cats.
people will just wait for Natlan, if we're being honest here. Arlecchino story will provide insight on Khaenri'ah civilizations but that's about it. in the end, her playstyle will just be another vape unit. she's looking good though but probably nowhere near as broken as Neuvillette (not just about damage but ease of use as well). anyway, Natlan will come with some issues too especially their Pyro Archon (who leak enthusiasts hate the hinted design of her)
