In this Genshin Impact Theory I discuss the importance of the title of the upcoming Archon Questline for the 2.0 version and theorize what I believe this will mean for the story going forward.

I do think Baal is a more sympathetic character than we have been led to believe. I think she fears the Gods of Celestia and a repeat of the Archon war. But what doesn't make sense to me, is how removing visions achieves this goal. Khaenri’ah is described as a godless nation, and given that they were known to be technologically and alchemically advanced, suggests that the people of Khaenri’ah didn't have or even want visions, instead, the lack of them is what inspired their ambition to become advanced in spite of their godlessness. I've been under the impression that this is WHY the Archon war even happened, the Gods of Celestia became fearful that the people would become more powerful than even them through science and technology alone. If this is indeed the case, then surely the vision hunt decree is explicitly counter to its objective of preserving the new status quo? Without visions, I imagine the people of Inazuma will become MORE motivated to change and advance, not content with "the way things are" in Baal's vision. Granted, she clearly has issues, so perhaps she is somehow misguided in her approach, certainly, she lacks (or represses) the empathy that would otherwise prevent her actions, but I don't see how she could be THAT misguided that she is unknowingly setting up a repeat of the Archon war… unless… maybe she WANTS another Archon war, but this time, thanks to something she knows or believes in, the people triumph over Celestia?!
Tldr: The erosion got her huh? Sounds interesting, but the gems on Baal statue's seem very sus, and some scenes show Baal's wings blinking…..is this a sign she has visions on her wings?, Venti also has wings( manga) so Baal having wings isn't very improbable, what do you say?
When you need to reach a word count, the video:
Now I feel sorry for Baal. Damn Baal who hurt you?
I came I saw and I cried… Poor Baal..
Tbh I’m tired of sympathetic villains I want an opponent who’s a irredeemable piece of shit
Playing middle ground is getting passé
Doctor here, euthymia is used to characterize anyone, not just people with bipolar disorder. In practice, it simply means a neutral mood that is neither elevated nor depressed.
Amazing as always!
(O∆O)
The only thing that bothers me about this is that why do people like Yoimiya still have visions? I guess Yae Miko and Kujo Sara still have visions because they’re part of the Raiden Shogun’s army against the resistance and maybe to potential threats out of the nation but the soldiers led by Sara didn’t have a vision. So I don’t really see why Yae and Sara need it too much there’s also Yoimiya and Sayu, they don’t seem important enough to the Raiden Shogun to have a vision because they don’t need it as much. I get that Yoimiya makes great fireworks that the Shogun enjoys but Sayu? She doesn’t seem like the person to be acknowledged by the shogun let alone be allowed to keep a vision.
What I’m getting at is, If the Raiden Shogun truly wants to rid Inazuma (maybe all of teyvat too) of visions, then why are people still allowed some?
An interesting thing I keep thinking about is if visions come with the surrounding medal (and if that can be removed) or just as the rock thingy. Also it says in the cutscene in the prologue with other twin and the abyss mages last cutscene in prologue Act 2 "When your homeland returns to this world we shall revel in its glory" and is a possible hint for what the other twins master plan is.
Because she's a dictator like north korea
Kinda forgot I wasn't subbed to you, but now I am. Keep up the great work, your videos are incredible.
Dang your theories sound so interesting! It certainly humanizes Baal and makes me look forward to seeing if your theory comes true. I hope it does because it's cool

nice.
I think she is just bored
Sooo you're saying she's going through erosion then? Zhongli brought up the concept in his last Archon Quest so I guess it wouldn't be surprising if it ended up being foreshadowing to something like this, once a kind and well meaning individual corrupted by time, leaving behind a shell of the former self.
This guy kinda sounds like diluc when he explains everyone’s abilities in the genshin trailer
The traveler: "Open Inazuma! Have it stop being closed!"
I have a question when a Archon dies how is a new one chosen

I think this makes a lot of sense, and I think it explains why Zhongli gave his godhood away, and Venti's response to being beaten up and having his Gnosis stolen was just a shoulder shrug and an "eh, whatever." I think the Archons literally cannot go against Celestia, but Venti and Zhongli – the eldest and strongest – basically found loopholes to get out of their servitude. "Oh, my Gnosis was stolen, hehe." "Oh, I had to trade my Gnosis away as part of a contract." My theory is that the Raiden Shogun is NOT going to lose her Gnosis to the Fatui, because that would be too predictable and it would basically outline the end of every Archon quest from her on out. I think she will either give it to the Traveller, or he will take it. Thus, all the Gnosis will end up in the same place by the time we get to Shneznaya, in our hands or the Tsaritza's.
inb4 the theory that Mihoyo is tryna make Kiana and Mei suffer in all of the bubble universes 😭😭😭
Fun fact the JP voice actor for Baal is the same JP voice actor for Mei in honaki impact :))))
So as of now, we have a drunk bard, a broke old man consultant and a shogun with a mental illness.
Hmm seems fair enough. I guess mihoyo wants us to know that archons too have imperfections. Im wondering what the sumeru archon will have.
"Now, on to the video."

:Nice video!
J have two things to say:
1st I think yae is the real God (archon) or master mind of all the things which are happening in inazuma.
2nd Why does baal started to hunt the visions just 1 year ago of story line. Was she sleeping just like venti before he was summoned in monstat after hearing the cries of his people. Just what was she doing after the destruction of khanrie.
Seems to me getting a vision makes you a seed that grows into a strong tree for a archon to cut down or wait till it dies and gives back more , electro archon wants her energy back asap , she probably is afraid of something or someone and wants to protect her people and herself in a weird way (if she lost they would too do might aswell także it now)
That's interesting and all but I hope not all archons are good intentioned because that's kind of boring. I do think there's at least one that is actually with Celestia since they're basically chosen by Celestia and their power comes from there. If it's not Baal then it's probably the hydro archon.
at least i can be a lore nerd here 😭 anywhere else or i’m “weird” 🐿
