When I played this story quest in the beginning, I immediately thought of the episode "Clay Face" from The Batman Animated Series. I was so surprised how right I was.
Bro I just finished this quest last night and right in the middle of one of the really sad parts, my neighbor started launching fireworks. The rollercoaster of emotions I went through last night, going from sad and almost crying to OMG THERE’S FIREWORKS RIGHT OUTSIDE MY HOUSE

Between Neuvillette's and Sigewinne's Stories, it really highlights just how vain and disgusting humans were a few hundred years ago.

This is gonna be the first story quest I won’t do after playing for 4 years because 1 I do not care about Sigewinne and 2 Paimon seems to have just as many voicelines as Sigewinne does and I ain’t listening to all that. I’ll do it once they add a skip button and get the measly 60 primos Copium
Ngl im horrified of what could have been sigewinne reaction after revealing that all fontainians use to be oceanids like shes standing there realizing that the potion she took was the dissolve body of her teacher like wtf hoyoverse thats horrible
Also vacher is truly one of the vile villain of this is the 3rd story quest of everyone has the suffer the consquences of HIS ACTIONS.
Fun fact: this is the only story quest that made me cry 😅

Also, just how many quests are we gonna see Vacher in? He was the main villain of the first half of the archon quest, then in furina's story quest he was responsible for the death of the director, and then this.
I feel like Paimon’s comments at 2:09:14 were a subtle way of making fun of people who wished Sigewinne was a real melusine instead of a human-like one

imo the hands are like the metaphor of thoughts and feelings so when sigewinne said potton's hand temperature has changed it means potton has changed , he is not the son the mother can recognize anymore
Judging people by their appearance is down right detestable! I don’t understand why people think outward beauty is all that matters. What truly makes someone beautiful is NOT the outward appearance, but the heart.
If someone is kind, loving, compassionate, and caring, then he/she is beautiful. If selfish, ego driven, a bully, greedy, prideful, cruel, or a complete scoundrel, then he/she is ugly.
No the old woman int the end cutscene is not Potton's mom. THat story was 500 years ago.
