I guess I’m in the minority that loves the dating sim- I’m not as excited for Barbara bc I don’t really care about her but I’ve done Bennett and Chongyun and I’m excited to do Noelle. This event made me love Chongyun bc I didn’t know anything about him- I think they’re trying to spend out the content rather than having one big update that gives you everything at once. People have different interests and I think they’re just trying to cover all bases. We should be getting more archon quests very soon not sure what day but soon
well too bad mihoyo aint gonna bring super mega balding content in genshin.

I don't get it….if people don't like it, they don't have to play the hangout event? I mean, it's not like they're forced to play it in order to go to the next story quest or open up new maps. It's just an extra thing for players to enjoy.

If you dont enjoy the game I would just quit. If your in it for the money like (Fortnite, minecraft ppl) Just play the game.
If you are bored, dont force yourself to make content for the game, just play something else and return later if you wish.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a lot of hate but this is just how Gacha works. You expect it to be an mmorpg game just cuz its open-world?
Look at Honkai Impact it's been 3 years since its release and people are quitting not cuz of lack of content, there's too much content that they were overwhelmed.
I think people would see the hangouts on a far better light if there was more suitable content already in the game. Who does not want to know about what the charackters do in there free time? But selling this as main content? The problem atm is that mihoyo wants to sell us events and qoty things as main features and this needs to stop. We need 2fa and content that actually provides something significant.
Edit: events should be treated as extra content like in literally in any other online game
That hangouts quests are perfect to get regional materials. Every time you start a chapter the regionals it plays in respawn as long as you finish it. So unlimited anemo shrooms and lampgras on Barbaras quest, unlimited ores on Noelle too. 😉
I just fast klick through the conversations and go on farming mats to get my chars leveled 😉

I think.l The dating Sim is a nice addition to the game and gives some variety. Ppl forget that genshin isn't a AAA game, it's a toilet gacha game. Why they transitioned to ps4 and PC doesn't make sense to me cause of this. It's like they can't decide what they wanna do with the game.
It's a 50/50. Many people will find it ultra boring. Others will enjoy it a lot. I'm in the group that enjoys it, specially if Mihoyo will let my Lumine date other girls. Viva el yuri Mihoyo!!
Also if you don't enjoy it, then stop playing it. It's free to play and the choise to spend money is all yours.

i LOVED barbara’s hangout event. it was super fun and cute. im already super excited for future ones (although i agree bennett’s story was really boring. on the ending where he gets called back to help his dads i was like ??? we didnt even do anything)
i agree w the mini game comment 10000%! im sick of only fighting mat bosses so that i can fight them even quicker.
Recently uninstalled Genshin Impact. Quit @ AR 56, game got boring, no hard content, daily chores for 6 months. I thought the game was going in a different direction but it's only been going down hill. Mihoyo's going to keep milking people 'til Genshin 2 comes out.
i wish it was more of just characters interacting with each other, fully animated and the fighting isn't really needed if we can get cute little stories out of it. Like i want to see the characters talk to each other more often
