The most fun I had with any game this year has got to be Genshin Impact. I was blown away by how magnificent the world was and its characters and its ever growing storyline. I have archived the main story all the way up until the most recent update and today a new chapter was finally released. Welcome to Fontaine everyone!
Join me on an amazing journey as we head to the industrial city of Fontaine that takes heavy inspirations from Parisian architecture and culture. I am amazed how Hoyoverse keeps presenting us with new areas and locations that are more colorful and vibrant than before. Its a true joy each time to head to a new land and see all the neat details and explore. The city feels magnificent and alive and has such a different vibe than all the other areas before. The focus on water makes it feel like a great chapter to play during the hot summer days and I had so much fun continuing the story.
One genre of videogames I adore are detective games and so I was absolutely delighted when I found out that the main story in Fontaine basically is a big detective storyline where you have to solve several cases and need to gather evidence, interview suspects and eventually take your recordings to trial. I have heard in the past that there is some critique on how heavy the game is with its cutscenes and dialogue, but I absolutely adore this. There is plenty of action and combat-based missions to be found in the game’s side activities and I have to say that the writing keeps getting better and better when it comes to the main storyline. Sumeru already was a huge step up when it came to storytelling and Fontaine is so as well as you get to star in your very own detective novel. I do wish the main story had you explore the busy and bustling streets of the main city a bit more, but there is plenty of time to do that during sidequests. I cannot wait to see what else lies in wait in colorful Fontaine!

  7. Господи, весь этот сюжет можно было бы уместить в 3 часа, если убрать из диалогов и событий все ненужное, никак на сюжет не влияющее. Это ведь абсолютная затянутость, искусственное затягивание времени… И это ощущается нереально скучно и отталкивающе, хоть и сам по себе сюжет довольно свежий и интересный.

    I know it would be too much to play through, especially with no voice acting (for some people this is a problem I believe)… but the world quests are really good too…

    But perhaps u could try the character quests… if u want of course…
