  28. As Childe slaughtered the sick minded people bidding for the man he respected. The one who out witted him, manipulated him from the beginning. 'How dare they do this to the man I respected. HOW DARE THEY' The rage fueled, the sounds of the thunder and screams mixed as Zhongli, Lumine and Diluc infiltrated into the auction.

    Few weeks prior:
    Lumine knocked on the door. "Come in." Jean's voice, filled with concerns. "What is it J-" Paimon sees Diluc inside the building of knights of favonius. "Master Diluc?" Lumine understood immediately. "May I come in too?" Zhongli popped his head in. "May I introduce Sir Zhongli? He is quite knowledgeable. He is currently travelling with me for a period of time." Jean and Diluc looks at each other. They silently agree. "If you're the one who brought and trusted, I believe it should be fine." Diluc adjusted his gloves, looked at his left hand. "We have intel we shared with Liyue's Qixing. The Fatui made a move. It's between their borders and ours. So we needed someone who could freely move around between the two." Lumine nods. "So it's time for me to use my title again." Diluc and Jean nods. "For reasons, we need to have one from Mondstadt and one from Liyue to go with you. For diplomatic issues."

    Paimon speaks up. "Then it's perfect! We have Zhongli from Liyue, and… assuming Master Diluc from Mondstadt!" Zhongli smiles. "I am in a contract with you to travel with you. This seems a fun adventure." Diluc smiles "We will have knights on standby near our borders, while Liyue would do the same." Jean clenches her fists. "The commission we want to ask this time around is…" Jean begins to explain Dottore was the one they had to take care this time around. Lumine could see the anger in Diluc, although it was subtle. The cloning of the people who had the visions. Just a explanation made Lumine's stomach twist. Paimon was in horror. "I-I didn't even dream of the Fatui's going this far…" Paimon looks at Lumine. 'Childe's not like that. He cares about his family, the people back at home. he would never step this low. The Dottore figure seems to be low as a human for doing this.' Lumine clenches her fist.

    "Lumine?" Paimon's concerned voice calls out to her. "I'm okay Paimon. Although I did not meet this figure, I can already tell we are never going to get along." Jean nods. "According to the one who saw the upcoming auction of the clones. You might see familiar faces. But please do not forget the who are we are truly after."

    Lumine, Paimon, Zhongli and Diluc stepped out of the headquarters. Lumine collapses to the ground. "LUMINE!?" Lumine was covering her mouth. "It's okay. I just felt a little dizzy." Lumine smiles as she gets back up. 'Disgusting' was the thoughts she had. They went back to the winery, there was no sight of any people. "I warded people away for a while under 'Vacation' No one else needs to be hearing what we heard in that room" Diluc hangs his coats, took off his bulky gloves into a more thinner easier to use gloves. "Master Diluc? Why do you always wear gloves?" Lumine tries to hush Paimon. "It's just there to hide an ugly scar that makes one enough to vomit all over my beautiful carpet." Paimon didn't ask any further.

    Diluc poured some wine for Zhongli and juice for Paimon and Lumine. Zhongli took a sip, he smiled. 'Ah, so this is what Barbatos was enjoying all these years.' Diluc sat down. "Glad you're enjoying one of the finest wines of Mondstadt. Morax" Paimon nearly spat out the juice. "Haha, as expected. Your friends work hard don't they?" Diluc takes a sip of wine. "Not as cunning as you." They both share a laugh. Lumine and Paimon had the same thoughts 'What kind of friends does Master Diluc have that is enough to uncover both god's identities…' The two were quiet. "That item took a toll on you. Didn't it." Diluc lets out a small laugh. "I do not know what you mean?" Zhongli takes another sip of wine. "Then let us leave it here before we expose anymore of each other's secrets" Diluc jolted for a brief moment.

    "Alright then, let's get into the plan now. Shall we?" Diluc explained in details of the layout, how many people are likely to be there, what does the Dottore looks like. Lumine spoke about her opinions, as well with Zhongli's. The three discussed the plan, corrected some aspects possibilities and so on for over three hours. Diluc stands up. "Use one of the spare rooms for tonight. Oh the bath is in the back room." Paimon and Lumine rushes to go and take a bath.

    They all fall asleep except for Diluc, who locked outside in the cold blue toned dawn winery. "They're stubborn." Diluc gestures a signal. The bloodbath had begun. "They never learn, do they." Diluc turns off the light in his room. The shadows began to clean up the bodies, a brief moment, a fatui symbol was seen before it was collected.

    Lumine, Paimon and Zhongli woke up refreshed. "Good morning Zhongli! Good morning Master Diluc!!" The three sat and ate as they went to check with the plan for one last time before they set off. "Here's your dress and masks." Lumine looked at her dark dress, the mask with laces. "It's a masquerade party." Lumine, Zhongli and Diluc gets changed and moves along into the night, heading to the auction.
