  1. About xiao's name

There is a common joke/misconception that xiao means short, which is partially true.
If you're referring to 小 (xiao), yes, it does mean 'short' or 'small' in Chinese. The accurate word for 'short' in Chinese is 矮 (ai).
If you are referring to xiao's name, it is 魈 (xiāo). In the left side of the word, there is the word 鬼(gui), which means 'Ghost' in Chinese. Since xiao is related to demons, his name in Chinese mean 'demon' and not 'short'

Also, he said in the osial quest that his name means swiftness. If you are translating his name to Chinese, it does not mean swiftness, but it depends on which language you translate it to.

  2. Aether actually has more to do with the sky than light yall :/
Sure, Aether is also the name of the god of light, but of the sky as well. All his other names (Chinese that is the original, and even Japanese) all mean sky or void.

I find it interesting cause I feel like their outfit resemble their other twin's name. Lumine's name has everything to do with light in every language; yet light is often represented gold in genshin which is Aether's main color. Aether's name means sky which is blue, and blue is the main color of Lumine. I think it's cute.
