i dont understand how is this game still making so much money. all you need to do is buy the welkin now and then and do the events, and you will have more than enough primos for characters that you really want. everybody so addicted to pulling every single banner?
Honestly I don't even get time to finish the current genshin content. So idk why people say it doesn't have content. If you are that free, just pick up another game or something.

I think the story is pretty good, the problem is that its dragged out over like 5 years (?) with a ton of fillers or cut off sections. Who tf would read a book that takes you 5 years to read, and only 10% of the stuff in there matters/is interesting? Its always talking to a random NPC for 2 hours, and only AFTER that, the Story starts to get good (im thinking about most character quests/archon quests here)
Like when I played the Inazuma archon quest, and I had to first talk to some random soldiers for 2 hours, I was starting to hate the quest. But it got so good and interesting at the end, the problem is just it has so much filler… Or the Azhdaha quest with zhongli, where you had to talk to some rocks for 2 hours, and only at the end you had the sick boss battle with actually interesting stuff…
I just played the archon quest where Cyno appears, and while I must say I like how there are a lot of interesting Characters to talk to, there was waaaaayyyyy too much dialogue, and my hope for a bossfight against Scaramouche was crushed as well. Like what even actually happened in that quest? all we found out was, that they are making Scaramouche a god. And that info is dragged out over 3 hours, like holy shit…
And dont even get me started on that kid man, I developed pure hate towards that shitling
They probably spent 100 million alone onthe hustle and bustle of ormos ost.

I have never played genshin impact, but man o man hearing these numbers i want to know what the heck its all about because i'm pretty sure the future for a game that makes 15x its investment is going to last a long while. What the heck even is it though, please dont tell me its just a waifu collector game.

Players probably don't have to play the game for the whole day. The moment they logged in, they are already included in that number. And so, HoYo gamed the system by making sure players logged in every day with dailies, limited banners, etc etc.

Investing in this game just feels good. Especially when you get the 5 star you really want. Honestly, I don't think getting a character just cause you like them visually is a good investment, because they can be seen in story quests and archin quests anyways, and the reward you get feom getting them ain't too much. I mean sure you get them, but there's not much interaction, not as much voice over lines is I think merits the purchase, even with serinitea pot voice lines.

and Star Citizen is a space flight simulator that has been in beta for 10 years, and the company making the game have no intention of officially releasing the game because they have made enough money to fund their company to not even worry about its release anymore. the game is similar(but has way more things to do) to elite dangerous or no man's sky.
Asking people to give freebies because they make enough money on ROI is ridiculous. Do Mcdonald owe you a extra cheeseburger because they have enough profit on their Big Mac, does Apple need to give you a free Airpod just because you bought their iphone? Mihoyo has zero need to increase rewards base on "we have too much money."

They make that money and are still stingy with anniversaries. Good thing I stopped last year when I spammed lying QIQI emotes on genshin discord. And if I just need the Genshin Lore/Story I'll just watch it on Youtube.
