  1. You guys have no idea how many times I realized I was calling Xingqiu kazuha before I recorded stopped myself and then wound up doing it anyways. My brain was fried during this. LUL

  2. I feel like your point is basically that she does more damage than Xingqiu and therefore is better, which is not true at all. Xingqiu is the better character for a variety of reasons.

His resistance to interruption and light healing is arguably less valuable than Yelan's damage ramping passive, sure, but it's still amazing in many teams and extremely useful for someone like Hu Tao. The main reason he's so much better, though, is that he applies more hydro. That's literally the point of both of these characters. Yelan can't support Hu Tao or Yoimiya without another form of Hydro application because both characters will overtake her in element application, making her dice throws vape instead of their shots/dashes. Xingqiu doesn't have that issue because his swords are more consistent and, at least for Hu Tao, his shield applies hydro as well. On top of that, Yelan requires around 240% energy recharge to be as consistent as Xingqiu. Considering that HT/Yoi/Diluc will do 50% less damage if their applier isn't up, that's pretty important. When you get to a realistic build, you're giving up Xingqiu's survivability, super armor, and even hydro consistency in exchange for more damage (not a ton when you factor her ER needs into your build) and a very strong passive. It sounds worth it because "unga bunga big number," but it's not.

Yelan is not the best hydro character in the game. She's arguably a sidegrade to Xingqiu, and realistically a slight downgrade that can be preferable in niche scenarios. Don't buy into the hype. Wait for theorycrafters to fully grade her as a pull, or just save your primos for a character that actually does something new.

  3. If it's a Mondstat character there's a good chance they would be fairly balanced.
If it's a Liyue character there's is a good chance they would be really good/strong.
If it's a Inazuma character there's a good chance they would be very clunky.

  4. I think Hoyoverse wants me to try vaporize team because i got yelan while my first diluc on the standard banner at only 9 pity😋😋 he's the only 5 star pyro character I have. So I would like to give it a try. is yelan compatible with diluc ?? I would like someone to give me some opinion about that.

    Really appreciate it!!😁😁

  5. People compare xingqiu and yelan, but yelan is a 5 star and xingqiu is 4 star of course she's gonna be better, but what about yelan and ayato tho ? both 5 star, both hydro, and both can work as sub dps, and hydro apply unit

  6. Great video. No sooner had I benched Hu Tao than I got Yelan. Now, I cannot again play without Hu Tao team. I use both Xingqiu and Yelan and it is just too satisfying to see those hydro
    numbers.

  7. I will skip her because her gameplay is just too similar to xingqiu. I want a little bit more variety. And I also have a C6 Xingqiu, C0 childe and C0 ayato (C1 mona is on the bench but still available). I can imagine going for kokomi in the future because she brings other utilities on the table than the rest.

  8. Yelan is so awesome! I have her C2 and have her Bow at R1, Triple Crown as well 👍🏻 I have 150% energy recharge and a 90/180 crit ratio, she is really fun to play. With those stats she does around 7.5k per burst arrow and her C2 arrow does around 10k, just for any people who need some damage stats. 2pc HoD and 2pc Tenacity. I wish you and everyone luck ^^

  9. Yelan better then Kokomi…. Umm…. I think you need to be more clear about what Yelan better then Kokomi on. Comparing these two is like comparing Babara to Xingqiu. When their play style is nothing alike.

  10. So the reason i got yelan was because i didn't have xinqiu and you might be saying how i don't have him since you could get him for free last version but i wasn't there and couldn't do the event and then when i was raising my yelan i got a free wish and i wished on standard and i got xinqiu so yea but i will still use yelan tho cause i haven't built her Fully and she's doing a lot of damage

  11. Yelan looks very strong but one thing that stops me from pulling is that she fits same teams that xinqiu does and functions in a similar way, so there aren't really new team comps, that feel different to play with, because of her.

Personally, with more time spent in Genshin, variety became most important thing when looking at characters.
I pulled for Kokomi solely to play Sukokomon and it was my best decision this year, in terms of Genshin.

I do hope some new, fun teams are crafted for her, so far double Hydro HuTao seems to be the only one.

  12. she is better when it comes to dps but she lost some of utility that xingqiu provides like resistance to interruption/healing/damage reduction/hydro reistance reduction/a bit more hydro aplication
so imo it really depends what you need in a specific team, for freeze for example yelan is going to be way better because hydro aplication is good enough and you dont need that utilty when enemy cant move, in vapo teams its a bit closer because both utility and the amount of hydro makes a difference
