  1. I'm still trying to figure out why this thing exists. It is basically a laptop motherboard in an ATARI branded case. The Ryzen 1606G has a fantastic TDP and has pretty good single core performance, but I can't ignore the reason why the 1606G was used which was to fit it in a slim case and dramatically keep cost down for the CPU itself, the cooling system, and the power supply. For the price of $400 it's simply not a good value. Plus it doesn't even come with Windows 10 and even installation of Windows 10 isn't as straight forward as it is on a regular PC. Not to mention the graphics cannot be upgraded which is counter productive for any PC that is used for gaming purposes. Atari did not market this thing as a PC. As a matter of fact nobody even knew what the VCS was going to be for the longest time. Atari delivered a. Product that is functional and I guess that's better than nothing for backers. Going forward to mass market I can't see people actually laying down $400 for this thing.
