  1. I never played battle royale games before, I just didn't like it, but imagine if Genshin added a permanent battle royale feature, that would be awesome, no? We have the maps, and the characters. To improve fairness, I think a player would have to select 1 melee and 1 ranged character, so each player can swap between the 2 characters in the field.

  2. I only do my dailies abyss e events. It only take 10~20mins to do the dailies and events/abyss only take a few hours every 15+ days.
My resin is capped for months now.

  3. For 1 year and 6 months straight, i played every single day to zero out my resin/do commissions. Since the 2.7 delay, i've changed to playing genshin sparingly. Quickly realized it's actually spring and i actually have a bike. Started to bike to work instead of the usual commute (while playing), and i've never felt better. Nice to see the world around us again

  4. On the flip side, even if you DO burn your resin, get event primos, you can still get off within 20mins on most days, and enjoy other games or parts of life. Regardless of what hoyoverse decides to do, this is probably for the best anyway

  5. In any case, with the "Is there anything hoyoverse can put in 2.7 that can convince you to come back" 4:21
    Aight hopium time.
Artifact grind change. There cannot be 6 layers of RNG because that just makes it unsatisfying as hell.
1 pull per day for f2p and overall a wish inflation(So a welkin buyer can get a rate up character per patch even with crap luck)
Bring the Rogue-like domain back, but this time with more enemies and stuff
More floors in abyss, but lower difficulty on 12 (like let's say add 4 floors and make floor 15 be as 12 is right now)

  6. All im doing ever since chinas lockdown has just been doing just the commission. Resin, i just do once in a while. Still doing the event/s tho, farming freemogems.

  7. You are 100% right.. Doing the resin everyday and the same old things in game burns the crap out of you. Specially when you’re in game looking at ZERO resin and nothing to do

  8. I don't like other games because I play NOT for gameplay itself, I actually don't like "games" at all, I just like Genshin characters and story and graphics. And this is NOT what other games have. They just don't.
I love my boy Aether and I CAN'T go to other game because there won't be Aether!
I like animations of skills in Genshin and the moment I saw animations in ZZZ I was really really dissapointed and don't want even to try that game.
I don't worry about resin in Genshin, I spend it only if I have a mood for this…
I do commissions because it just feels good to log in and see all these sceneries and characters, it just gives me sort of relax, because I have anxiety and Genshin just helps me feel good.
And yes, I'm bored without events and stuff, but I just explained my reason why I don't want other games and why I play Genshin nevertheless

  9. to be honest im really done playing genshin, after deciding to not log in everyday i started playing other games and enjoying them lot more

i even gave my account to a friend who somehow isn't done with the the game by now, but yeah the last thing i want in that account is kazuha
if someday he actually comes back i will totally drop the game after getting him,
maybe just maybe i will play again if there's something that actually seems fun to do, but yeah no i won't try to get back to the game

also im not someone who comments a lot, but i feel like i actually need to say this
anyways hope that the people that still enjoy the game, have a lot of fun and best of luck

  10. Hoyoverse knows how to make Genshin more appealing to bring back the rest of the player base. Making farming artifacts less tedious would be one of them and making daily primogems a bit more would go a long way, but they won't.
Do we even know what the charts are for Genshin ? The game targets heavily casual players, so I doubt they even need that much of a playerbase to keep their game running (and it seems excess funds are allocated to other projects). Genshin has been too much of a success in their eyes, and I can't see much effort to keep their existing playerbase. They are releasing things as planned, not more. Some people might have forgotten the first anniversary, I don't. They didn't make it any special and that's quite the bad message. Hoyoverse doesn't need us in the game, at least not long term. I'll continue playing, but probably only on and off until dendro comes by.

  11. Honestly genshin doesn’t need to do much yea people took breaks but as soon as there anything people come like zombies we gonna see it soon and hoyoverse will win , we are just hamsters on a wheel , as a gacha slave of 5 games genshin is easy to just log on condese resin when u wanna farm do 5-10 of an event log off can’t get burned if the only content is abyss every 15 days

  12. Evérything u said is so on point. This is exactly how I've been thinking. I've been playing Resident Evil again. Back to spending my extra play around money on my figures and collectibles. I will say this, even if I come back I'm done with P2P. I got enough to go through the game and not need any new characters. I think they fucked their Yelan release and if these are the next banners I can get free primos and stack enough to guarantee Yoimiya when she reruns

  13. From the analytics we can see genshin is definitely not dying in fact the playerbase is still increasing by the day.
Also "the seasoning is strong with this one"

  14. To be honest, Hoyoverse never gave official reason why we are going to have delay.
Most people are are making their own reason like covid situation, VAs having troubles recording and etc.

  15. i am still playing but not daily maybe log in couple times a week if i feel like it, at this point fun combat oriented repeatable content that isnt copy paste of abyss, that is not requiring resin and gives rewards is what i would like to see that would maybe make me want to return to daily grind but apart from that i just plan to participate in events and ocasionally do dailys until new story comes out

  16. I always loved Gi and still been playing it. I’ll admit that I really didn’t like this delay, but I knew it was for a good reason and I’m all honesty I was able to have more time to build more of my characters which is good. But to me it sounds crazy how people have been saying they feel “free” as if they been enslaved by GI and “forced” to play the game. That’s doesn’t make sense to me. Like how does a game make people feel that way? I mean I think I know how, but that sounds insane to me and shows how games can consume people’s lives and they let it happen to them.

I been playing since Day 1 and with three accounts, but never once felt like I “had to” play the game or feel overwhelmed. Maybe it’s because I have a full time job and a family or as some people will say I have a life and it’s because of this that I’m not playing GI all day. Idk. Like if people need a break then yes go for it. No one should feel forced to play a game. But I feel like for someone to feel that way then that’s how much they let a game control their lives.

  17. I'm one of the ones who used to play without fail everyday completing all events, using all resin etc. I had no intention of leaving but it's exactly as you described. One day I couldn't play and after i reflected on what I'd been doing all this time I realised it was all repetitive with not a single bit of creativity. The game had trained me to get used to this pattern and I didn't even realise. I feel so free now.

  18. Actually if you don't log in for 14 days it triggers Stellar Reunion and you have to log in at least 5 times for the free 500 primogems so sadly, they have already thought about that and don't let players go 🙁

  19. i am still playing every day because i‘m a low spender and want to save up as many primos as i can for free.
also i‘m part of the working 9-5 demographic so genshin is good for that.
but still especially on the weekends i‘d love to play more. since last abyss i can 36* it and fighting has become so meaningless…
the worst thing is if mihoyo can‘t even give us better filler content for this drought how would they be able to make big changes for the next few patches. clearly they are overwhelmed by the situation or something.
so can‘t expect any major changes or cool events in the upcoming time 🙁

  20. I play Genshin since day 2 and had to stop playing because my computer died before windblume festival. Ever since I came back I play everyday but did not get burned out maybe because since the beginning I never really worried about resin or meta characters or even spiral abyss.. maybe my way of playing is very casual but I am really excited for the new update.

  21. I'm one of those people who don't even do comissions anymore on daily basis , only when there's literally nothing to do is when I open genshin impact.
I just watch videos to stay updated .. just incase.. Hoyoverse does something mind blowing.. that's the only reason I don't delete genshin
