I can’t describe how much I love this battle theme II. It is so EPIC!! I really love the 2nd half of the music, from the part where the guitar leads the melody, that part really remind me of Dynasty Warrior Music. I firstly only wrote melody with the left hand hitting drum beats. But just yesterday, I decided to add those arpeggios to make it sound better (but also more time to practise and record). You can hear some ostinato running notes from the original music in the background which is similar to the Andrius’s Theme.
The 2nd half of music is very similar to 1.5 PV with slight different ostinato and drum beats. So it’s not taking too long to rearrange it for Phase 2.
The most difficult part to play is the two transition which has so many repeated chords jumping everywhere. Jasper Hu firstly took a long time to arrange it and then I took another long time to try to make it more playable. (These two parts probably took me the longest during the recording)
I think this is probably one of the hardest arrangements to record. I blame the key signature. To make it sound close to original, you need to play all staccato for those bass ostinato and those black keys really kills my accurancy. Very uncomfortable!! Glad the return of the theme is in a new key which are much easier to play!
Anyway, I’m going to enjoy 1.5 game now! Hope you will like it!!
