Note:
I've encountered some performance issues but that was only during the first day, today I played the game for a long time to make sure the issue did not come back. Performance has been consistent for me today, I was getting around 50-55 FPS all the time, which I think is good enough.
Yesterday when the issue happened, the FPS dropped to around 30 to 40, making the game experience super bad. TBH I'm still 100% clueless why it happened, but for now I'll take it as an isolated bug and keep an eye on it.
If you have an S23 device and also experience some inconsistent gaming performance, you may try to reboot your device a few times, wait for a few hours, it might resolve by itself. Please also share your experiences so that I can understand better what's the real cause.
Battery bypass S23U > Xiaomi 13. 60fps stable.
Your channel is way better than YugaTech (a Filipino tech YouTube channel)
They faked their own Genshin Impact gameplay test in Oneplus 11 Review

Nah. The GPU watcher could drop the performance. Try disable it.
Can you test it with GOS on? i wonder if they tuned it well for S23.
consider doing future tests without "bloom", as it is one of the most demanding setting for gpu as there are a ton of transparent effects during combat which are rendered multiple times. people won't have to sacrifice by switching to medium or low settings to get better performance, also during fights you can't see anything properly due to bloom(too much glow) & rather than having smooth combat you get frame drops & laggy gameplay.
Fantastic video as always! I was wondering are you going to do a performance test on the Razer Edge?
But x90 pro plus was getting stable 60
Its so nice to see samsung learning from their mistakes, the s23 series is pretty much solid now but can still improve with updates.
Please if you can, do a standard S23 test and a S23plus test.
Also another phone that i missed in one of your tests is the ASUS Zenfone 9, i think we might see good results.
Thank you!, and good work ๐
Haha the snapdragon we finally deserved though going through dark web for the snapdragon s20 ultra is still my best decision ever๐๐2 year already in its last Android 13 update
Is the resolution on FHD or WQHD? Wouldn't that be a factor on performance as well?
i have request could you do these tests in coop mode against weekly bosses? my phone can handle overworld singleplayer but in coop it struggles a lot sometimes it goes below 15 fps at low graphics i would like to buy a phone which would be good at coop
Also notice it is still on the pre-release software. It will get better once they release a better software update. Also well detailed vid as always.
๐๐๐๐๐samsung always Samsung….even oc 8gen2 cant beat normal 8gen 2๐
Samsung has tons of youtubers under their payroll, tons of false marketing bs.
Could you please do with GOS on? ๐ฅฐ
The question is, did Samsung fix the horrible tinny audio when playing most games? And almost nobody talks about it like it's nonexistent lol
Play with gos on most pepole who play with gos on said phone is stable 60 fps
Which application is used for monitoring?
Can't wait to see how the newest redmagic performs in genshin.
Fingers crossed s24 ultra will achieve stable 60 fps next year
Try run 1 more test for S22 Ultra. I getting on average 45-60fps all the time while temperature is running hot around 45ยฐC-50ยฐC with Android 13. Before Android 13 update, I getting a lot worst compared to now.
My one is Snapdragon variant and not Exynos variant.
The S23 is a beast of a phone
Oneplus 11 pls
NL's video suggest that the resolution is indeed higher in S23U compared to S22U and other phones. 720p against 860 or something…
Thatโs such poor performance for an 8gen2.. shit cooling
That's not that great ๐
i am struggling on choosing S23 Ultra and Red magic 8 pro , which one is better in terms of gaming wise? as for camera, just set aside that… everyone knows definitely s23 ultra camera is king..
Why is Samsung worse than Xiaomi?
No review for the Red Magic 8 Pro huh?
Thanks for the test! I like Samsung and buy their phones for like 20 years, but as an avid Genshin fan last year's s22 ultra on exynos was and unexpected hard disappointment. I returned it so now I'm wary about buying s23 ultra. Thanks for the test, but if you have time could you please do a test in some graphics heavy domains like Signora or Raiden boss! That's where I encounteted most lags in the previous model.
How many ram s23 "12gb" variant have. S22 had only 11 (10.5) gb instead of 12 (11gb +) ram truth app can show that.
PLEASE test the regular S23 as well? Would love to see how the normal S23 runs it
Minecraft Ray tracing?
Please make an in-depth review of the S23 ultra ๐
Which is best for gaming. S23u or 14 PM??
Why you don't show the resolution for each phone the higher tge resolution the higher GPU power and watt consumed.
Will anyone be willing to trade with me iphone 14 pro max gold 512 to 256 gb ipad pro m2 will i add money?
i think zenfone 9 is beter for genshin
i think you should try Red Magic 8 Pro And Redmi K60 Pro

Default genshin render resolution of S23 Ultra is 864p while Xiaomi 13 pro is 720p, not a fair test
test with samsung s23 or s23 plus would be nice
Not great results considering Samsung are lagging way behind other android phones ๐คฃ
