Edit: watching everything that unfolded in Fontaine once more, I cried so hard again. I love Furina so much. A lot of people called her girl failure before Act 5 was realeased. But I've always loved her from the beginning, and even loved her more right at the end. She's my best girl <3

It's kinda funny how the Sumeru Crew were assembling to release the archon from captivity while the Fontaine Crew were assembling to capture the archon. Both crews are like The Avengers of each respective nation, hahah!

I had an observation to make about the Traveler. Im sure everyone now understand he represents us as well as himself. He is both the filler character on whom we can project ourselves and our feelings within the story like the famous "y/n" in written media AND he is also his own person with his own thoughts and feelings that may not match ours every time. I love that about him. My interpretation of the moments when the Oratrice got ready to carry out the death sentence scene where Aether (and i mean Aether, not us as Wander/ Traveler) goes "I still need answers" or something to that effect.. in that moment I personally also thought Furina is probably about to die here and all he is worried about is answers for the prophecy and answers to save everyone. Because of this In that moment i personally thought… Here is a traveler of the stars who has spent maybe millions of years in travel through the stars, seen the stars birth and die and now Teyvat is but a flickering moment in his journey. AND YET he has shown great care for its people and nations he has been to. In this moment he was ready to accept Furina's fate but not before she gave him answers to save Fontaine. im not saying he chose one over the other or anything ofc he cared about Furina's fate but he chose the many over the few in the Trolley Problem of this Ethics situation. It is such a mature decision to make. And only someone who has seen life and world (in ways we can never fathom) can make… Aether is a wonderful MC to play. Even if he isn't fully a self insert character you can understand his motives and his priorities in small moments like these. great writing.
P.S. one of the many fan ships between Genshin characters is Freminet and Gaming. I think i randomly found it and thought of sharing this information since they are both one of your favourite cuites haha
Also just a note for what you said at the end:
The Narwhal is from basically space… but it wasnt from the Primordial Sea. It lived there because the Primordial Sea is in Teyvat and Surtalogi decided to keep this alien Whale in Teyvat.. haha

as a furina kinnie myself this quest definitely hit me the hardest out of all of them so far, i was sobbing with you the whole time dw 😭
this quest made me realise that ive been living like furina always hiding my 'true self' in order to appear better, so it definitely impacted me to start being me so to say
anyway, im so glad you always take the time to understand the characters stories in depth! its definitely nice to see someone fully appreciate what furina's been through 🙂

I do think one needs to keep in mind that without Focalars there is no Furina. So while the fait is very unfair it was what she was created to do. A terribly heavy burden. In essence Furina was Focalars both sacrificed everything for Fontaines freedom. Both were alone. Not that I dont feel bad for her. I do. Its just important to keep perspective. Its easy to blame Focolars for this cruel dutie but she shared it with her and gave up her life for Furina and Fontaines freedom.
Calvin, thanks so for this playthrough. It's been a joy to go along with you and relive this story. How appropriate that the video ends on tears at the fountain where all tears end up. I can't wait for you to experience each new chapter as it arrives with us! Xx
